Our business model is to firstly give our clients the best experience in there time of need and to raise the quality of service being given by trying to make contractors do a better job. EPHG currently have over 60,000 clients, 8 staff taking the calls and hundreds of contractors being a national company covering an estimated area of 98%. Even though our terms and rates are available online, we verbally explain the rates, take a deposit, ask our clients to reply to a text or an email in writing to confirm the agreement including rates over the phone before we start the work. If we don't get a written agreement, our clients can ask for the payment to be voided the same day or a refund any other day. Our aim is to raise the quality of service in many individuals with highly trained staff by trying to make sure you don't full prey to potential crooks or unprofessional trades.

Highly recommended
Really impressed with the speed of response and the professional and caring way in which the electrician (Max) undertook the work, explaining carefully to our relative what the issue was and how to correct it. The company is heartily recommended especially if you find yourself to be in an emergency situation.

4:00 AM Christmas morning burst water pipe
At 4:00 AM Christmas morning, with water gushing from a burst pipe in the cellar, I phoned APHG for an emergency plumber. Despite the holiday and time of day, a friendly man answered the phone & reassured me they would help. He contacted an emergency plumber. He arrived in an hour, stopped the water and ‘hoovered up’ inches of water from the cellar floor - all finished by 7 AM. Cost was just over £400 twice the normal price because it was Christmas. I was grateful they weee working on the holiday & could help.

Reading into this review, I would say you're lucky the engineer has a wet vac, as many of the engineers don't have one, but a few do, so it is hit and miss, but glad that the engineer we sent over did. I hope you don't have too much damage, but if you do, we may be able to put you through to someone for this also. Other than that, I wish you the best for the new year 2024.

I contacted this company around 01.45 in the morning they sent an engineer out within the hour, my fault was delt with professionalism and understanding, I would highly recommend this company for any electrical work.

They came when nobody else could. Transparent and straightforward. The engineer was professional and took the time to explain and show me what the problem was and also gave me a temporary solution.

Excellent service from beginning to end, called them on a Sunday evening and they were here within 2hrs, the Plummer Muhammed was really professional, would recommend this company to anyone, also cost was really good

really appreciate the review, and like our call conversations with all our clients, in most cases, we always try to aim within the hours, but also mention our terms state 2 hours, just incase it takes longer.
I'm happy the engineer acted as profession, which is what we always expect, and apprecaite the time you have put in to writing the review. All the best.
Not cheap but emergencies never are
Not my first choice but just could not get a plumber out all day, let down by a few other companies! The guy they sent was very quick, very calming, very efficient and tightened everything up and the leak will hopefully not return. £150 call out and £150 for an hour so £300 in total for a five minute job and waiting time to check it was no longer leaking. I justify it with thinking of all the damage there could have been which probably would have exceeded £300. Would highly recommend them if you need assistance fast!!! Not many plumbers it seems want to deal with lead going to a stop tap so pleased they would. Thank you!!

I'm glad that we was able to help you out, and I agree that trying to get a plumber to fix a lead pipe that many plumbers don't like to work with. One of these reasons is that some lead has an unusual size to them, and in many cases, arn't able to get the fitting, so having to file the lead down isn't an easy job at all, and in some cases, you can fix a lead pipe to find another leak occures below the fitting, making it seem that the plumber hasn't done a good enough job, and them time of fittings arn't cheap, and in most cases time consuming, but glad you was able to get yours done quickly. We appreciate your time in the review and wish you all the best.

Professional Friendly service
Called early Saturday morning after finding none of our electrical sockets were working and we were unable to work out what was causing the trip switch to turn off. Was advised of cost and that Daniel would be with us in 60 Min. Daniel turned up within that time checked all our sockets and found that it was our Fridge that was causing the problem. Also replaced a broken socket. He was friendly, cleaned up and put things back as he found them.

Water leak
We had a water leak in the early hours. We rang and Kieran answered. He gave us time to explain what was happening and reassurance that a plumber would come out to us. Lee arrived in the time they gave us and managed to stop the leak. He is friendly and due to his calm nature, made a stressful situation easier to deal with. Thanks very much. Louise from Lowton.

Very good plumber, skilled and polite
The person who took the call was well-organised and got a local plumber to me very quickly. The plumber, who arrived promptly, was very competent and tracked down the source of the leak which was not at all easy. He kept me informed throughout and asked permission before doing anything - like breaking a hole through the tiling and plasterboard to reach the leaking pipes so he could cap them, stop the leak and turn the water on again. He waited for a while to check the solution had worked and told me to call him day or night if the problem returns. He did not stop even for an drink until everything was fixed and he was just waiting to check it worked. Delightful Polish man, very polite, I could not have asked for a better plumber.

I needed a plumber to attend to a faulty tap
I needed a plumber to attend to a tap that wouldn’t turn off. I was quoted £150 for the call out charge and £150 per hour for the plumber. That’s £300 for one plumber for one hour. I’ll let the readers of this review decide wether that’s exploitation or value for money.

Dear reviewer, I see that you feel the need to write a review, which the score could of been worse, or could of been better, but my concern is, there was no service given, and a 3 star is still a discredit, as we like to show to our clients upmost professionalism, and that we try to work above and beyond.
Given companies of our size, our costs are typical for an emergency service we feel, however, people could get cheaper, but in our experience, the level and the quality of the service seems to deteriorate, for example, if the engineer we send out is getting bad feedback and is not good enough for the level of service we require of them, we take them off our system, ensuring to our clients we try to only send the best contractors out, and given that people tend to get over charged from poor service seeming cheaper to start with, we would say that for the level of service we give, the costs should be well worth it.
I hope this helps, and if you don't mind me saying, there are a lot of people who take a lot of pride in there business, not to be discredited for some reason or another, at no fault to the company.
Just to confirm, I've have since had contact with this reviewer by email and can confirm this is a legit person. Our reviewer was concerned about our costs being exploitation, however, we don't hide our costs, we always send the costs to our client by email or text message for them to agree by reply before giving a service, however, I don't think this reviewer was aware of this, but it does explain that in our terms.
Because our client didn't use our service, I don't think they gave us the chance to see what we could offer, and how good the service we give could be given.
Also: Engineers we send out are only authorised for the first hour, and the ongoing rates could be subjected to further work and VAT, meaning in most cases, the cost in our experience (including VAT) has been cheaper than the said £300.
In some cases, we have no choice but to include the VAT, however, VAT should never be referred to exploitation.
We have asked the reviewer if the review could be altered or taken down, so that our clients are not mislead, however, as our client has not been given a service, we feel that it is unfair to review a company for a service they have not received.
Fast call out even on a Friday night!
Fast call out even on a Friday night. Fixed within the hour, no issues at all. Costs outlined upfront. Would recommend and would definitely use again if required.

I had an urgent problem with a water leak. They sent a guy round (Usman Yousaf) within 2 hours of my call. He was polite and efficient. He identified the problem very quickly and fixed it. That is all you want in a situation like that.
