Great experience with customer service
Great experience with the F&S customer service team! I was hunting for a bar table and was able to get a very nice discount simply by asking. They were efficient to deal with and responded very quickly. Would purchase again!

Scam
Scam: Don't do it. Wish I'd done my homework first to find all the reviews here saying the same. :/. Ordered in-stock items. After nearly 8 weeks, lots of excuses and a couple of "product passed inspection" notices, still have no products, nor refund for backordered item which was cancelled by email 2 weeks in. We have called and emailed 4x requesting cancellation due to products not arriving as scheduled and exceeding our project schedule. F&S refuse to cancel because "products are already in shipping process" although with no verifiable information to prove it. At week 7 they finally shared a fake "tracking number" which included a magic bullet list of multiple actions that all amazingly happened on the same date & time "tracking" was shared -- including "schedule delivery". It has been an additional 2 weeks and unanswered communications with no contact from F&S, no delivery and no cancellation. With no product after 9 weeks, no delivery date in sight, and now no communication, we have been forced to go to cc company and dispute the very significant charges.

I worked with Sam - for a return process. He was speedy, explained the process, the timeframe and was clear and made me feel secure in this return.
Not only was Sam a happy customer service rep, he offered options for my refund (store credit or back to original payment method). Most importantly, he has a wonderful tone which conveys "I want to solve this for you" and "I will listen to any questions or comments that you have".

They misled me on the delivery times
They misled me on the delivery times. In addition, it appeared as the order had no shipping charges. But then they say they have a white glove service - and it was an extra $300 to ship the product. The only option is “white glove”. I would would not use them again.
Deceptive practices and poor customer service
Purchased an item that was listed as in stock with premium white glove delivery. Company sent a tracking info immediately. We waited weeks for an update. The company responded the product was in inspection. When pressed for an update two weeks later they stated the items had been moved to Quantum white glove delivery. We went another week with no update on shipping. After a total of 6-7 weeks waiting for an “in-stock” item to ship we requested cancellation of the order. The company stated it was not necessary to cancel because the item would ship soon. We contacted out credit card issuer and to dispute the charge. After a week they canceled the order. Misrepresented their stock position and mislead us multiple times on the status of the order. Terrible experience.

Company is a scam
Company is a scam. In January 2025, I ordered a light fixture that took a month to come. It came missing an entire globe. Took another month the receive the replacement and the brass bracket sent to me was a cheap, painted replacement that wasn’t even the correct size. Asked them to send a new one and take the old but they refused.
April 17, they arrived at my house unannounced while I was not home and refused to leave until they had the fixture. I did a charge back since the issues wasn't being resolved but did not follow up with my credit card company since they had taken the fixture and assumed they would refund me.
Six weeks from when they picked up the fixture and my money has not been returned to me. I had to reach out them a month after they picked it up to open a dialogue on getting refined. They then posted a new policy are trying to deduct 20% from my refund and threatening ineligibility for any warranties, future assistance, and future orders because of the charge back. Reviewing archives of their site, this was not a prior policy. This is a retaliatory effort after they were the ones who sent me an incomplete item and refused to rectify the issue after multiple months. Stay away.

The company sent a damaged item. I contacted them immediately and requested they pick up the item. I sent numerous emails showing the damaged. The company refused to acknowledge the damages in the photo and is attempting to make me pay to send back and item they sent to me damaged.

Item not delivered. After several attempts to contact the seller, I finally got through on the phone and was told the item was cancelled. I still do not have a refund.
This company is a complete scam
This company is a complete scam! My order sat in the warehouse for a month. When I tried to cancel my order they insisted it would ship the next day. The first associate said I could still cancel as long as it was requested via email. She refused to let me speak to a manager and stated that they didn’t have a manager working at the time. All of a sudden, Brandon Fink, the manager who also goes by other names via email called to say they would not refund my order as it’s in the shipping process all of a sudden. The conversation derailed and I was accused of multiple things that were so outlandish and untrue so that he could get me off the phone. He refused to let me speak to other managers or even ask questions about the company. I am at a loss for words at how horrific this company is. I want to add that I received an email stating I can cancel at anytime, but now they are trying to get me to sign a document stating that they can keep 30% of the total costs + shipping costs even though the order hasn’t shipped nor is it on a truck. They stated that the shipping process starts the second the order is placed even though none of this is disclosed on their website. I have never had a company try to get me to sign such a thing to make a return. They tried to say it was to protect me… lol I’m sure.
Warning - stay away
The company is very good about soliciting you for money but fulfillment and delivery has been an absolute nightmare. Tracking info is at best deceptive with promised information and delivery dates routinely missed, the delivery company has on at least one occasion shown up without any notice and left things outside but worst of all France and son will send you numerous emails asking for fees and costly service offerings that appear somehow needed to receive a delivery. But are not
But the topper was this one - France and son could not secure one of the items we offered. They told us this 4.5 months after we placed the order and said the order needed to be canceled. While we were naturally frustrated with the long delay between ordering and being told the order had to be canceled, we went ahead and did so. France and Son then told us that because the order was being canceled, they were charging a cancellation fee and credit card processing costs to cover their costs of the cancellation. Needless to say, this is a complete scam as collecting fees on a transaction that they canceled, at their request, is not permitted.
Bottom line, while their upfront prices seem good, the follow up and subsequent experiences have been absolutely terrible. I would warn you never to order anything from this company.

This company is a SCAM. Their products, their designer list. They do dropshipping and sell very low-quality product, very expensive, and their return policies are ridiculous, they most likely make they're profit from the 30% that they keep from the return. they sent me a hideous chair that was completely different than what I ordered, I could've bought that chair from alibaba 1/5 of what I paid them. they did not accept my return so I had to dispute the transaction through my bank, waited 7 months, but it never went through, their bank never accepted their error. Now Im stuck with a hideous chair and lost $1700. DONT BUY FROM THEM
Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Savings
I purchased the Curata Upholstered Bench from France and Son on April 10th, 2025, primarily because their listed price was $200 less than other online retailers. Unfortunately, the initial savings were quickly overshadowed by a frustrating and drawn-out experience that I would not want to repeat.
At the time of purchase, I was informed the item was in stock. Five days later, I received an email saying the bench would ship from the manufacturer to their facility in 2–3 weeks. Confusing, but I waited. A couple of days after that, I got another email stating that shipping was not included in my purchase—despite no prior mention of this—and I was told I’d need to either pick it up locally (over 600 miles away), arrange my own shipping, or pay an additional $200. This brought the price right in line with their competitors, but I decided to proceed and paid the extra fee.
From there, the delays continued. Over the next two months, I received sporadic updates that the bench had been received and was going through “inspection” and “repackaging,” each step taking days with no real sense of urgency. Finally, on June 10th, the bench was scheduled for delivery via a third-party carrier, with a delivery window of 6–10 PM.
Looking back, had I gone with another retailer, I likely would’ve had this bench weeks earlier, with less hassle and more transparent service. The poor communication, unexpected costs, and prolonged delivery timeline were incredibly frustrating.
Bottom line: I will not be ordering from France and Son again. The slight discount is not worth the stress and poor customer experience.

I am now going into the fifth month of waiting for my delivery to be successfully completed.
First, the delivery company for France and Son didn't show up when they were scheduled to deliver the piece I had ordered in December 2024. I took the day off work to be there for the delivery, which had a 7 am - 7 pm window. No big deal - they were running late, so I had to take another day off work the following day, and they showed up with the credenza at the end of the day.
They got it off the truck and into my apartment complex's back door, where the stairs and elevator were located. Both were very close to the entrance. After finding that the item would not fit in the elevator because it was too long to stand upright, the workers informed me that they would be unable to deliver the item because they did not have any materials (belts, straps, etc.) to move the item up one flight of stairs. (I am on the second floor.) Why a furniture delivery company does not carry moving materials to assist with the lifting is beyond me, but these movers were unprepared. The coordinator for the delivery company then informed me that I would need to pay an additional fee to send a third person to help get the item up the stairs the next time they were back in my area. There was no mention of this item being oversized when I purchased it or when shipping and delivery costs were calculated. The shipping company sent me a contract to sign, stating that I would agree to pay an additional $150 for them to return a few weeks later with extra help. I refused to sign the contract on principle. I had already fully paid for the item and its shipping and delivery costs. It was ludicrous for them to assume that I would be OK with them holding onto the piece until I spent more money! They drove off with the piece and said that the company would call to reschedule.
France and Son agreed that I should not have to pay additional shipping costs and rescheduled the delivery for three weeks.
When they returned with the item, the two men got it up the stairs and proceeded to remove all the packing materials in the upstairs hallway before bringing it into my unit. When they finally made it in, they informed me that they had accidentally ripped the hinges off the doors when they opened them. They said they would leave the broken item and that the company would contact me about swapping it out for a new piece. In the meantime, I could not open doors because doing so put pressure on the few functional hinges and had already started pulling the external facade material off in several places. The right side door had to be propped up with a piece of cardboard since it was missing all three hinges and was basically hanging.
After three more weeks, the company contacted me to inform me that they were pleased to offer me a 10% discount for all of my troubles; they would send someone to repair the hinges in return for my agreeing to accept the damaged piece of furniture. I found this offer completely unacceptable.
I gave them three options: 1. Give me 25% off the OBVIOUSLY damaged piece; 2. Replace it with a new, undamaged piece; or 3. Provide a full refund and come pick up the damaged item. They accepted the 25% discount and agreed to send someone to fix the screws.
Three weeks later, I received notification that they were coming to do the repair on a Thursday, so I took the day off work. I received a link to the tracker so I could follow the truck on the map, but each time I checked it, it stated that my delivery had not been scheduled yet. I called the store around lunchtime to find out when I could expect them and was informed that they forgot to load the hinges on the truck. This meant I had to wait again for their next scheduled delivery in another 2-3 weeks.
They just showed up yesterday, April 30, 2025, with six hinges. There are 12 total on all of the doors; although not all are broken, more than six were, so there were not enough to fix them. The workers also thought they may have been sent the incorrect hinges because they could not attach the right door correctly. It is not flush with the end of the cabinet and will not close. The other doors are also crooked due to the missing or incorrect hinges. I am awaiting another call from the company to find out when they plan on returning - probably another 3 weeks - so I can use the piece of furniture for its intended use (storage) by the end of spring.
This company has obviously lost interest in me and has left the responsibility for completing the delivery of a functional piece of furniture in the hands of the delivery service.
Oh, and F&S asked me to rate them after another unsuccessful delivery. I wrote a brief message explaining my frustration and left a 1-star rating. As I pressed submit, the 1-star rating switched to a 5-star. That's one way to get high ratings, I guess. SMH!
The good news is the worst retail…
The good news is the worst retail experience I'll have in 2025 is now behind me. The bad news is France and Son was the culprit. I ordered a premium wood bench advertised as only two materials - acacia wood and iron. They didn't have the product and postponed delivery for over three months. I waited. When the product did arrive it was made from painted plywood covered with a plastic faux wood veneer. It's awful. I will never shop at France and Son again, and neither should you.
