Wasted My Time. Don't Waste Yours.

Red flag after red flag that this company and its technology lack integrity and competence. I attempted to schedule a job, but neither the app it self, the customer service agent who had to walk me through the glitchy and non-intuitive sign-up process, or the "pro" who accepted the job were intelligent enough to spot that I was not in the service area until an hour before the job was scheduled to be done.

Bonus: the "pro" who accepted my job without noticing my address wasn't even in his PROVINCE asked material questions about the job that clearly indicated

Double Bonus: customer service rep insisted I needed to enter my credit card details to even post the job. Hey, why do you need my credit card info if you don't service my area? We can't do business. You don't need this info, and it's likely a violation of Canadian and Provincial PII laws to have it. Will be investigating and filing any relevant complaints.

Poor protocols. Poor attention to detail. Poor experience.

If I could give zero I would. They couldn't handle a 250sqft tile job with an open deadline. Seriously, if they can't handle a bog standard tile job, I wouldn't trust them with anything.

Hi Travis, We know this is very un-Jiffy of us, unfortunately, it looks like none of our Pros can take on your job and this was cancelled. This is usually due to the timeline being too tight or the Pros thought the job was out of their scope based on the job description provided. 

Next time we'll hopefully show you a true Jiffy experience.

Unfortunately the service was quick but…

Unfortunately the service was quick but the work that was done a an electrician did not work. He then promised to arrange a time over the weekend to return to complete both jobs and never did. We hired another electrician to complete both jobs. The $284.00 we spent was for nothing.

This company is downgrading people and treating them like slaves they get compliments from customers who doesn’t want to pay for the jobs and with no clarification want to deduct your pay treat people like slaves and get pay a big chunk of cash for each job done by them I would recommend this to no one get you own stuff going jiffy is a rip off

Inconsistent service and no recourse

Inconsistent service and no recourse. First Pro was great so I used again. Next pro cancelled hours before my service that I needed to host my weekend events. He said because of weather and that was not true as the weather was perfect all day. Jiffy did nothing to sort out my problem - offered a 25 dollar credit. I cancelled. You cannot count on them and no customer service to help resolve. Apparently no consequences for the Pro either who do what they want. I do not recommend.

Jiffy is a scam, plain and simple. They take a massive 30–40% cut from every contractor’s pay just for connecting them with a client — that’s theft, not a service. It doesn’t matter how good you are or how hard you work, they’ll ban your account for some ridiculous reason eventually, just to make room for others on their waitlist. As a customer, you’re unknowingly handing over a huge chunk of your payment to the platform while the person actually doing the job gets robbed. They’ll hold or even deduct your pay over false complaints without verifying anything. And if a customer cancels on you an hour before the job? You get nothing. Zero. Avoid this company if you value your time and your money. STAY AWAY FROM IT AS A CUSTOMER AND PRO.

A horrible experience. Not less than a scam

A horrible experience. The plumber gave me a time, i left all my work for him to work at my place and cancelled my appointments. Went home, this guy did not show up. He was scheduled for 1 pm and at 1 pm he tells me he will come at 3. At 2 he said he wont come and conveniently asked me to book someone else.

Stay away from them if you value your time

After thoroughly reviewing your case, I can confirm that your original Pro experienced an unexpected delay that was unfortunately outside of their control. As per our protocol, the Pro did reach out to inform you and offer an alternative time, which aligns with our standard process in such rare instances.

Additionally, I’ve reviewed the communication from yesterday and understand the urgency of your request. In light of the circumstances, our team extended a goodwill credit as a gesture of apology and support.

Given the urgency and the current status, it may be best to consider working with another provider. However, if you would prefer to continue with us, we’re happy to assist in scheduling a new Pro. To move forward, please provide a few alternative dates that work for you.

I contacted them as they juscame into…

I contacted them as they just came into Edmonton. What a bunch of bullshit. They want you to download their app. Then they want you to set up an account. Then they want your credit card information before they will send anyone out to look over the work area. I just wanted a simple estimate and some suggestions before I made any commitments. Man what a total bunch of crap they want you to go through. Then they take 30% off the top for themselves from the workers who do the job. I went to Home Depot. They sent someone out who gave me an estimate and suggestions no fuss no bullshit and we will go ahead with them. Stay away from this Jiffy scam.

All companies must have at least $2M in liability insurance, up-to-date licenses/certifications within their category and strong references and reviews so you don't need to worry.

To speak to a Pro about your task/project, you will need to create an account and submit a request. Depending on the category,  you will see a pre-set rate or it will say FREE QUOTE.

Once the request is submitted, it is sent out to all of the Pros in that category. They will have a chance to review the job description and have the opportunity to accept your request. ​You will receive a notification (email and/or app) once the job is accepted by a Jiffy Pro.​You can discuss all of the job details with your Jiffy Pro. If you decide to cancel the job after speaking with your Pro, there is no charge.

This company takes 20% of contract…

This company takes 20% of the contract between you and the customer. It threatens and coerced contractors on the back end. And threatens them to keep quiet about the 20% markup they force. It also pretends it is a General Contractor that has a right to the customer and plays that as a down right lie. As it is simply a lead service and payment service provider. It makes up bad reviews on contractors to kick them off their platform. It is a matter of time before class actions and lawsuits bring these corporate demons down. If you a lawyer look into them.

Terrible Customer Service

Terrible and inflexible customer service. They used to offer ice melter buckets throughout the entire winter. Now, they only offer them at certain times. They claim to send out emails about it that do not always get received, even when their flawed system says that they were. I can attest that I never received any of these emails. Regardless, their inflexibility is really not good customer service. They do not care about the convenience of their customers. They are only looking to make things easier for themselves. Then they shut down the conversation and ignore you instead of perhaps finding alternative ways to make the customer satisfied. Customer satisfaction is not their priority.

It's a shame as now we have to go spend more money to get ice melter elsewhere when it would have been free due to our Jiffy+ membership (which we've had for years and will be cancelling if Jiffy continues to refuse to do the right thing). Rosita claims the promotion has ended but it's hardly a promotion if their customers don't actually get the emails. But I must be a liar.

Now they've gone and cancelled my subscription before I actually asked them to do this. I guess that's the easy way out for them. They don't want to actually work toward finding a resolution.

I would suggest that if you are looking for a company that provides good customer service and is willing to show flexibility, that you look elsewhere.

To respond to the Jiffy owner's reply:

I did not have a conversation with their team. I had Rosita implying that I was a liar and making baseless claims followed by fake empathy. Then she just started ignoring me.

Your resolution was to refund me money (and that's fine) but you didn't ask before you CANCELLED my account. I had said that I might have to. I didn't say to actually cancel it. In addition, I had credit on my account. That credit is now gone. Where did it go?

You are unwilling to acknowledge that the error may have been on your end. This is the SECOND time that this has happened this year. The first time, you did the right thing and got ice melter delivered to my house. This time, you adamantly refuse. I did not receive the email and Jiffy made no effort to ensure that I did this time, given the trouble I had during their first promotional window. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

And now they have blocked me from chatting with them on their app proving that they are unwilling to have a conversation. They keep saying the same thing a conversation. They are unwilling to address my concerns at all. Not a good look.

We can see you spoke to our Help desk today regarding Ice melter. Unfortunately, the seasonal Ice Melter promotion has ended, and we are unable to deliver this.

I bought 3 packs of heavy duty plastics cover and non of them are proper, the far end tear apart when you trying to cover. I was given damaged plastic as the far end is not even straight. I can even use them.

Jiffy is easy to use but heaven forbid…

Jiffy is easy to use but heaven forbid something goes wrong, customer service is not helpful whatsoever. Customer service will be unable/unwilling to assist with even the simplest requests. I have used Jiffy 4 times, but it only takes one bad experience to make me to never use them again. The professionals I have encountered have been reasonable and professional but I can’t say the same for customer service unfortunately

Just for fixed two burner of our old stove, it was charged over $600, unbelievable! we can buy a brand new stove with this money! the problem is, they didn't ever tell you about price ahead before they starting it or doing it, just charged your credit card after everything, it is like robbery!

Clogged drain

Frank August 2024. I unfortunately can’t give less than 1Star rating. I have spent over $700 between to different Jiffy Plumbing “Pros”. (Far from a pro). My sink in a bathroom was first clogged November 23, after living in the home for 22 years. I paid $240 for the “pro” who claimed to have cleared the clog and the draining would be as it was when we first moved into the home in 2001. Lies less than 10 months later same issue, now nothing was put down the drain other than the standard organic stuff that is used in a bathroom. ( Hair, makeup, tooth paste. Ext). Once again I booked a “Pro” and the second he walked into my Home he said I will
Make your drain back to new.before I leave. Unfortunately for me $494 later no resolutions lots of excuses and suggestions to do further investigation. Obviously at an additional charge. I tried to contact customer service and their only means of contact is txt and email. They claim to not have access to phones. I want to warn anyone’s considering this service to explore other options. There services are horrible and their lack of customer service is is even worse.
