Mother Denim Defect Warranty- Greedy Company
I personally think that Mother Denim has cute Jeans. My problem lies with one experience I have had that will result in me no longer purchasing from them. Because of the price tag, I would expect to get a pair of high-quality jeans. Unfortunately, I received a pair that was not that. Whether it was a designer error or manufacture error, my Jeans were ripping straight at the seams around the pockets. I hadn't even had them for 7 months. It happened in at least 6 places. The problem was bad enough that if you wore bright underwear, everyone would know what underwear you were wearing. It was also clearly an error from manufacturing. The seams were too tight for the material. I reached out to customer service, and it was unfortunate to find out that this company cares more about its money than its customers. I understand wanting to make money, but there was little to no responsibility for their mistakes. I even talked to a manager, and there was nothing they would do for me to truly make it right. Their policy is that if you can prove that it was their error, within 1 year of purchase, they will take the item and give you store credit for that amount. This might not have been a big deal if I had bought them for full price on their website, but I got them for a good discount at a boutique. All I wanted was for them to send me a replacement for the same exact jeans because I love how they look and fit, but they refused to do so. This obviously defeats the purpose of buying them on a discount. It was very frustrating because it was an error on their side, and I could have proved it if given the chance to go that route with the replacement. It left me feeling very grossed out. They created a horrible experience for me and feel so greedy. Especially because they sold it to the boutique for exactly what they were okay with selling it for originally. It felt like they were trying to double-dip in profits for their own mistake. This all resulted in me having a pair of ripped jeans that are worse quality than I've ever had buying cheap jeans. I gave this a two because I have received good jeans from them in the past. This experience has left me disappointed, and I will no longer purchase from them, as they won't take accountability for their errors. I no longer trust them. If you're comfortable with their warranty system and are willing to pay more in situations like this, then this rating may not be relevant to you. But, if you expect to be taken care of in a situation like this, I would stay far away from purchasing from them! There are many companies that truly care about their products and customers! That is my experience and why I will never complete a transaction with their brand again! ( If the warranty was improved, maybe I would. I don't see that happening though)
