I’ve been using Startin Skoda Worcester for over a year and generally had no issues, but my last visit started off a bit disappointing. There was some miscommunication, a long wait, and one of the phone conversations didn’t go very well. Honestly, I’d decided not to say anything, just pick up my car and start looking for another place.
When I arrived, I met Richard at the reception. His calm and respectful manner encouraged me to mention what had happened. He listened carefully and said a few things that really helped me feel heard. I thanked him and left, but a few metres down the road, I noticed the same noise I had originally brought the car in for.
I went straight back and spoke to Richard again. Without hesitation, he came with me for a quick drive to check the problem himself. Even though it was Friday and almost closing time, he told me he’d get it checked on Monday and follow up. And he actually did, he kept me updated all the way through and made sure every issue was sorted properly.
He paid attention to every detail and genuinely cared about getting things right. I really appreciate how he handled the situation, professional, patient, and sincere. Many thanks to Richard, I’ll happily keep bringing my car back here.

I had a very good experience buying my car from the Worcester Honda garage largely because, Alex the salesman, was very helpful throughout. I had intended to purchase the same model from Honda in Stratford but they wouldn’t allow me to have a copy of the spreadsheet with the financial details on though the salesman offered me a piece of paper so that I could take notes! On the basis of a telephone enquiry Alex immediately emailed me all the information I needed, with options for buying new or used vehicles and means of financing, which helped me to make a decision. Startins Worcester also gave me a far better price for my trade in vehicle than I had been offered at the first garage.I felt valued as a customer and am hoping that I can have my Honda’s servicing carried out by the Worcester garage despite the fact that I live outside the Worcester area
I have only had the car for three days but so far so good!

We were Ripped Off Big Time at their St Peter’s Branch Worcester by their So Called Customers Service section, the main Culprit was a WILL STALLARD which does not make sense after their Boss got involved and said he had Sacked some and moved others, the one who caused us issues is still Service Manager, he told a lot of Fairer tails and did not know what he was talking about.
So others be aware of the about.
We and Family and Friends have all moved our Custom elsewhere to their LOSS.
Firstly as I’m Deaf I do not do Phones only Text and Email sorry.
The issue was with a Peugeot LO18LCU, many issues were cause by WILL STALLARD who told me so many Lies trying to Riddle out of issues caused, costing my husband ERIC RANDALL money and time getting things sorted, as stated when the Drivers Footwell was flooded after fitting a new Heater system he came out to the car with another Male who had a Smirk on his face the whole time WILL STALLARD came out with so much rubbish, ALL lies, the car never had any issues before or after, was told the Boss had sorted things by getting rid of some and moving others, but he is still there in the same job.
Never ever been Conned so much by a garage before.

What started of as a fantastic service has very quickly gone down hill. Prior to purchase the whole experience was fantastic, info provided, questions answered and lisa waldron was great.
Upon delivery of the car everything went downhill. The car arrived filthy and all i got from the driver was sorry its covered in flies. You would of thought they would of nipped to the car wash prior to dropping it off. But never mind let that go. 3 days later get a notice of intended prosecution from the police because the delivery driver decided to floor it down the motorway. In a car i had just spent thousands on! And paid £300 for the privilege of been delivered. Had to spend days getting that sorted. All sorted. Until.
11 days later i notice a noice coming from the car , immediately contact startin and send over a video to advise. Was advised to get in touch with my local dealership and book it in, no help in getting it booked in, no offer a hire car despite been 40 minute drive away. Had to arrange my own booking and make my own way home . My local dealership couldnt pin point the cause and advised me to go back to startin for advice and see what they would say. Spoke to natalie who advised she would speak to the service team and ask them for there advice and would get back to me the following day. Over 2 week later after i had to further email i finally gets a reply telling me it would need to be brought into them to be looked at.
We arrange a date and to Natalie's credit she arranged me a hire car so that i wasnt stranded while they looked at the car.
My car was collected on 23rd June, a day later i gets a video report advising the issue is with the flywheel and ac unit. It will cost around £3800 to repair. I contact Natalie who advises that shes waiting to hear but as far as she is aware there is no fault other than the noises.
A few days passes and on the 26th June im advised a claim has been submitted to the warranty company to replace the flywheel and ac unit and that they had asked for more details and had submitted proof. On the 30th june i then got a further update advising the warranty company had requested a video which would be done the following morning.
On the 1st July i was advised the warranty company were sending an assessor out and i would be told when a date was set for this.
A week passes with nothing else so i emails again, no reply, emails the following day and get told that josh would give me a call. Full day passes and of course. No call. Emails again and the following day get told that they are waiting to hear back from warranty and should have info within 48 hour and that someone would be in touch “by close of play tommorow” that was the 9th July. Of course this also didnt happen.
So again, i wait until monday 14th and email again. Monday night i finally get a reply and again its “iv asked service manager for an update and will chase this in the morning”
Did an update come, of course not. Wait until the following evening (Tuesday)and i email again. Same old reply received of “theres no update”
Its now friday and iv emailed again this morning and now im told “warranty asked for more info so thats been sent over”
Its now the weekend so clearly going to be no progress now. 4 week startin and have had the car and we havent even got to starting to repair it yet. Over 15 thousand pound i spent with this company in good faith, the issues were reported 11 days after owning the car and now there seems to be a lack of wanting to get this sorted.
You have already told me you dont think warranty are going to approve the claim, so who is going to pay the £3800 to repair it because im not and your not returning it to me like that. Why are you not paying for it out of your own pocket, you clearly sold it in this condition.
Communication is atrocious, aftercare is abysmal, im fed up of waiting weeks and weeks to be told the same thing over and over.
As it stands, ill never penny another penny here.
Furious and disappointed .

I recently had an outstanding experience purchasing a car at Starting Honda Worcester, thanks to Alex Peck From the moment we walked in, he greeted my wife and I and showed a genuine willingness to help. He, Alex , took the time to understand our preferences, ensuring that we felt comfortable throughout the entire process.
He had an extensive knowledge of the vehicles and answered all our questions thoroughly and honestly, making it easy for us to make an informed decision. Alex took us out for test drive and was patient while my wife test drove an automatic for the first time.
Having settled on the car Alex guided us through the financing process, explaining all the options available and helping us secure a good deal. Alex ensured that everything was transparent and straightforward.

My wife and I were travelling home to Cornwall from Scotland on the M5 when the dashboard on our Kia EV3 totally disappeared and the indicators stopped working. We took it into Startins at Redditch. We had no appointment but the lady at Service Reception arranged for an engineer to examine the vehicle. He discovered it was an issue with a software update. The problem was rectified and we continued our journey home. The service no doubt had a full diary for the day but found time to resolve our problems. First class service from reception to service engineers.

Car was sold with warped brakes and a buckled alloy. They told me to book in at my local garage to get it sorted then told me they are not going to cover either of the issues! Then tried to get hold of someone to get some information on the service history and no one bothered to call me back.

I'd write a comprehensive review to add to the many others showing how poor the levels of service and honesty are at this branch but I know nothing will be done.
To summarise in brief, awful service from multiple front desk colleagues towards myself and others waiting.
Ripped off with a diagnostic charge when they couldn't find or confirm a fault even though I told them what it was. Communication is awful from trying to book,to checking in,to waiting all day for an update,to then be told they weren't sure....but here's the bill for the work we didn't do.
No chance I'll recommend this place to anyone.
Request for additional information - Redditch vauxhall Branch. Main complaint, I was diverted to this dealership by my own after the fault with the infotainment system could not be fixed under my service plan when I had my mot and full service. At this point all parties were sure it was a faulty usb port connection but my dealership did not have the equipment to provide a resolution hence the direction to go to a vauxhall dealership.
Prior to my car being seen I had requested that the fault be diagnosed after already completing software updates, purchased and tried various usb cables ( including original brand ) and different devices tested. I was advised it would cost £75 to diagnose the issue to then be able to fix at cost the fault. Also in my Request I asked for a quote on a front parking sensor replacement, I already new it had been damaged due to a chip and advised I had a quote from a 3rd party and wanted to compare.
After 8 hours I received a call, they couldn't find a fault and it all seemed OK, rather confused I asked what had been done to be told thet had checked the software was upto date ( a 2 minute job ) I told them I had already done this and It was in my notes which I had clarified when checking in.So I persisted ,what had actually been done? Software check, ok I already did that, did you test it? No, so testing would have involved a very basic usb and a phone, no need to connect as your just looking for Android auto or Apple car play to pop up on screen to ask if you want to connect, at this point thet would have known if it was a usb connection without the need to connect a device. But they didn't even do that....but here's the bill for £75 for not diagnosing your fault or testing for issues to provide options.
Add to this spectical, when I asked for the sensor quote, the reply was we didn't no which one...I had already told them, and if anyone had looked at the bumper with a sensor with a big chip on it might have logically looked at that, or if we want to be technical when you turn the car ignition on the first thing the car does is sound an alarm beep, displays parking sensor issue, and a diagram on the dash shows you which one...
So from what I understand, because I had already done it , I was charged £75 for a process I had already done in 5 minutes. No testing was done, no resolution was provided and no one took 2 mins to find the quote for the parking sensor.
Now I was told an hour and a half had been logged on this, again you had the car for nearly 8 and a half hours, the work requested to be done was not and at best was 10 minutes.
I am sure the other hour and 20 minutes was used on the FREE health check that I didn't need ( car serviced and mot'd 2 weeks ago ) to try and sell me additional services. This is not excpeptable and at the very least I would expect a refund or if that's not what you think is fair a revisit, with no charge to actually diagnose the issue I paid for and quote for the sensor that no one knew how to check for.
There's more I can add but this should be sufficient for an additional respone

Well as far as i am concerned i dodged a bullet. Rang up to book a test drive as we visit the area quite often. Obviously my address wasn't local to Worcester (just over an hour away) and this seemed to be a massive problem for the man (sorry I really cant call him a gentleman) I spoke to. I was informed by the member of staff that they "aren't in the business of just doing test drives unless you're buying" and "we're in the business of selling cars". Well sadly i'm not in the business of buying a car unless i have test driven it. He seemed to want me to commit to a purchase without even having seen the car. He did refer to himself as a salesman, well a man he was but he wasn't going to sell to me. I ended up putting the phone down on him as im afraid he really wasn't the type of person i wish to engage with, and certainly not give my hard earned cash to.
Sadly my experience is that Startin staff seem to have a very small minded view who only wish to sell to people who live in Worcester. Having now read other reviews i'm actually exceptionally relieved that i didn't use this garage even though i pass it several times a month.
Good luck chaps you clearly have enough business and didn't need mine and you saved me at least £1k for a higher spec vehicle with less mileage so for that I really do thank you.

Purchased a car via distance sale in January from redditch, been quite on the fence about writing this review as the people I dealt with were nice, the car itself it’s lovely and the delivery of it was great.
I chose this dealership as I knew people who had bought from there and had family who could see the car in person for me, so came in with good expectations.
There are just some elements that I have not been happy with for example:
- Additional extras communicated to me via email did not include the cost so I didn’t know until I received the finance documents how much more they were increasing the cost by over £1000
- I received documents via email with a different car registration and stating different information than agreed (example: that I was getting a PCP when we agreed HP)
- V5 document arrived with wrong title on it
- Day car arrived I received an email stating my warranty had started, I was purchasing a 73 reg so was told I still had manufacturer warranty for over a year so this confused me
- It took over two weeks of emails for me to receive the gap insurance details, that ended up having the same start date as the day they sent it, so hadn’t been taken out at purchase
- I have been trying to get in touch about the manufacturer warranty but emails go unread and when we do call we get passed around, but they are happy to call me about arranging a service plan
- I have questions about the date of the second year service and how that affects manufacturer warranty, along with worries about the wet belt replacement in the future
This is my first experience buying a relatively new car on finance and it has put me off distance sales a fair bit as I really hoped that the good experiences people I know have had would be mine too.
I thought I would give them another chance to answer my questions today, instead I have been told the car had its second service in January even though there is no record in the service book and the car believes it to be the July which would put it a year since the first service. They asked me to reset the service light and post the log book to redditch to be corrected - I don’t feel comfortable doing this as based on the coolant level it wasn’t serviced in January or it’s used a lot up.

Arnie the Renault sales guy was a pleasure to deal with. He was very professional and gave us first class customer service from initial contact to the vehicle handover. If you are considering buying a Renault ask for Arnie and you wont be disappointed as he will get you a good fair deal and look after you through the sales process. Saw a car on their website. Mileage 3800. Rang up and discussed purchase. Put down a £99 fully refundable deposit. Did further checks on the car such as mot history etc. found the mileage was actually 38505! Rang back and said I had changed my mind. They dropped the price by a £1000 but I still said no. I was told the refund of £99 would be done immediately. That was the Monday. By Thursday I had to ring back to be told the refund hadn’t been done. They processed it for me on the phone. We are now at Tuesday and still NO refund. Please don’t use this company.

I sold my car through CarWow and agreed on the date of collection with Startin Peugeot Worcester, specifically Paul Smith. On the day of collection I spoke to Paul on the phone and first thing he said to me was that he had forgotten all about the appointment, I thought this was unprofessional. He then offered £150 less than the price offered, he tried to make other excuses as to why he knocked £150 off but the real reason was that he didn’t want to update the settlement quote figure. He said it would take up his time. Eventually agreed to the original sale price, said it would take half hour to an hour to change the payment. An hour and a half later, hadn’t heard anything. Tried ringing him and he wouldn’t answer. Another 20 minutes later he finally answered my phone call and he said he was in another appointment, again this is unprofessional because he had double booked. The whole experience was ridiculous and stressful. Highly would not recommend.

The Suoerb drives like a dream and I was offered more than the car buying sites for my trade in.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of collecting my Kia Sportage from Kia Redditch, and I cannot speak highly enough of my experience, thanks to Saff Khan. From the moment Steve went over to Redditch, Saff was professional and courteous.
Saff took the time to understand from Steve what I was looking for and preferences, and help Steve to make sense of the options, so he could pass on the information to me so I could make the right decision.
When I met Saff for the test drive, he demonstrated an extensive knowledge of the Kia Sportage and its features, and helped me make the decision to buy. I particularly appreciated not being rushed or pressured, Saff's patience and genuine passion for helping customers were clear. It made the whole stress-free.
I particularly appreciated Saff providing clear explanations regarding the options, and so I felt confident making the decision to buy the service package, as well as the car.
When I collected the car yesterday, Saff again took the time to go through the various features of the vehicle, ensuring I was comfortable and confident before I left the forecourt.
Along with the other members of Kia Redditch that I came into contact with, Saff’s approach and willingness to answer all my questions made me feel my custom was valued.

Startin Vauxhall Redditch- sold me a Second hand car with faults. Unable to fix after 3 attempts. I advised them that it was deteriorating but felt like it was never fully believed at that point. They did do a lot of work for free but I continued to have the same issues immediately after (which I filmed so had evidence). Attempted to escalate the concerns from November with very little response. When I initially spoke to the sales manager he confirmed he would email back but eventually 3 months later he states he never said that and was waiting for me to get back to him if there was an issue (I had chased him). Poor communication. Resulting in me SORNing the car and struggling with my job (community nurse). It’s taken far too long to get it solved. However, I have since met with Jim and Andrei who have worked with me to deal with the issue. They have given me a fair deal on a new car whilst arranging to buy back my faulty car. Whilst the customer service initially was very poor and way below the standard I have ever expected from this dealership (as I have been a regular user since 2018) they have listened to me and helped to reach an agreement. Since I spoke to Jim and Andrei they have treated me kindly and fairly, ensuring that I was listened to. All the other member of staff that have assisted (Paula and Chad) also showed good customer service when my expectations of the company at that point were very low. I have always got great customer service from Simon from the service department over the years as well. If I was to base my rating on previous use, this meeting and the arrival of my new car it would be 5/5 but obviously this experience with a faulty car means I cannot do that. I think 3 would be a fair reflection but I hope that in the future it would improve.
