I recently bought a Specialized Allez E5 from Balfe’s. Overall the experience was very positive and the staff was friendly. There was a sort of delay on the day of bike collection which caused slight disappointments but it was more attributed to fixing some issues with breaks, so glad due diligence was done.

Balfe was also later able to compensate for me for a sudden price drop just days after buying the bike which I think was a great gesture and speaks about their focus on customer experience.

Balfe's Bikes in Waterloo makes the purchase of my new gravel bike a joy! The bike was ready assembled at the shop, and I got to test-ride it on the road near the shop, and final adjustments were made before leaving the shop. Friendly and very helpful staff. Very happy with the service... and the bike, of course.

Had a thorough maintenance service and then followup checks to adjust new brake cables earlier this year. Good service and helpful staff. Bike shop is in a good location near Waterloo Station.

Staff in there are absolutely great. I called up about a bike and they built it and held the bike for me so I could come in and try it out first. Got to test ride it inside and out the shop. Really helpful staff!

Balfes bikes is literally the best bike shop/franchise in London, since Brixton cycles closed down I struggled to find a shop were the main core value was customer satisfaction. They have expert Machnics and are good value.

Aside from them having the product at a reasonable price, I've always found it an east and pleasant experience dealing with Balfe's. They always seem willing to go the extra mile

On the day of picking up my bike i couldn't fault the guy dealing with me, very attentive, but the process leading up to this felt very pushy in terms of purchasing the bike. i don't think they mean it to come across this way as i think the issue might be more of a storage problem and the need to free up space, but as a customer this isn't my problem to solve and being chased for payments or pick up is off putting.
