I've been attending Dean's bootcamp for over a month now, and I can honestly say it's one of the best things I've done for myself.
Every Sunday at 7am, I question my life choices and wonder why I signed up for such an early start 😂, but every single week I leave feeling stronger, happier, and grateful that I showed up.
What makes Dean stand out is that he creates far more than a workout session. He's built a community. The environment is welcoming, supportive, and motivating, no matter your fitness level. He has a way of pushing people to do their best whilst making everyone feel encouraged, supported, and part of something special.
The workouts challenge you, but it's the atmosphere, the consistency, and the people that keep you coming back. Dean leads by example, and his passion for helping others shines through every session.
A year ago, I was in a very different place in my life. I felt lost, stuck, and unsure of where I was heading. Today, I'm stronger, healthier, happier, and surrounded by incredible people. Bootcamp has played a huge part in that journey, not just physically but mentally too.
Thank you, Dean, for the early mornings, the encouragement, the laughs, and for creating a space where people can grow, challenge themselves, and support one another.
I will never be a fan of the 7am alarm, but I will always be grateful that it leads me to bootcamp every Sunday.

I’ve been to 5 sessions so far and I can honestly say Sunday mornings have become one of my favourite parts of the week… which is saying a lot considering I’m voluntarily waking up ridiculously early 😂
The energy is amazing, the group is so welcoming and everyone genuinely motivates each other. It never feels intimidating and somehow never even feels like a workout because there’s always such a good laugh along the way.
Dean is an incredible coach and keeps everyone going, no matter what fitness level you’re at. Every session is fun, motivating and leaves you feeling great afterwards.
If you’re thinking about joining, do it. Great people, great vibes, great workout..
School Feedback
Dean’s Mini Warrior Bootcamp is absolutely fantastic — a real highlight of our school year. He has now visited our school more than three times, and every single year both children and adults are buzzing with excitement. Dean has a brilliant way of bringing out every child’s competitive spirit while still keeping the sessions fun, supportive, and inclusive.
He adapts each activity seamlessly to suit all ages and abilities, and his energy is infectious. The children respond so well to him because he strikes that perfect balance between challenge and encouragement. This year, we also introduced both a Parent/Child session and a staff session, and the feedback from both has been incredibly positive.
To add to that, the organisation, communication, and professionalism Dean brings make the whole experience smooth from start to finish. The sessions are not only physically engaging but also build teamwork, resilience, and confidence — qualities that stay with the children long after the day is over!

I first met Dean when MW held a bootcamp for primary school kids during one of the school holidays. Instantly, I recognised his structured way of working, principled yet very approachable. I appreciated his frank and honest feedback after that session.
Roll on a few years and I bump into Dean at a local park during my walks, where I also observed the weekend kids bootcamps he was running. My son attended football at the time, having done swimming and gymnastics before that. I could sense he was no longer enjoying football, not really a sport he really follows! This is when enrolled him on to bootcamp run by Dean.
It has been well over a year that my son has been attending, which is longer than I expected! He has grown in physical strength and ability, has more confidence, is more resilient and has taken a keen interest in his fitness generally. This would not have happened if Dean hadn't supported, challenged and been firm with him when he needed to be. For any issues, including some sensitive, Dean would be clear with me about what these were and how he addressed these. Together we have worked through these with mutual respect and have a laugh after!
Thank you, Dean. Your passion for what you do is clear, and your ability to connect with all age groups is special. To anyone thinking about this sort of activity, I say have a go with MW.
Old school personal training at its best!
Since January 2026, I’ve had the privilege of training with Dean, and he is a rare, old‑school example of how personal training is meant to be done. I was introduced to Dean by my partner who had been attending bootcamp and 1-2-1 sessions with Dean for a number of months. I was reluctant to begin as I just assumed it wouldn’t be ‘my thing’. I’d never trained in this style before and early mornings on a Sunday felt illegal!
After my first session, I was hooked! That feeling of accomplishment after was second to none. Dean pushed me to find my strength and recognise my capabilities where I’d been stuck in my comfort zone physically for a long time. Boot camp became a community and Dean was the glue, keeping us motivated, accountable and encouraging us to reach new personal bests. The bootcamp sessions were fun, competitive and full of banter.
Whether you’re starting out your fitness journey, an experienced athlete or just looking for a new way to keep fit and reach your fitness goals - Dean is your guy!
Great bootcamp and 1-1
I started with 1-1 sessions because I wasn’t very confident with running, but the support and encouragement I received really helped me push past that.
Over time, my confidence has grown so much that I now attend the Sunday morning bootcamp sessions as well, which I never thought I’d be able to do before. The sessions are challenging but really rewarding, and the people there are all really motivating and supportive.
I’d definitely recommend this to anyone looking to build their confidence, improve their fitness, and be pushed in the best way possible.

What can I say about Dean and the Mini Warriors set up other than its amazing!!
I met Dean not long after he started this epic venture and my eldest son (who was then 7) did his sessions on Saturday mornings and he properly loved them. However, these had to stop due to other commitments clashing.....
Fast forward to 2026 and I was very keen to find some supportive exercise to help with 'that' child's Rugby to help build strength, stamina and all round fitness. So at the start of this year, I approached Dean and he has been unreal!
He facilitated this and we now have an awesome group of all ages and the difference in my lad who is now 12, is incredible. The fitness, the power, the strength but more importantly the confidence in my lad and that of the others is incredible. Dean is an asset and i'm looking forward to the next 12 months.
I cannot recommend this man enough!!!!!!!
Improve fitness and confidence
This is the second month that my son has been attending Mini warriors and he absolutely loves it ! We have seen an improvement in his stamina already on the rugby pitch. Dean is excellent at explaining why and the benefits of the exercises he sets . A fab role model and would recommend.
Significant health improvements since joining bootcamp!
Dean is an amazing coach. I got roped into going by a friend and now I’m so grateful because my cardiovascular health has improved, my resting heart rate has significantly got better and Dean really caters to individual needs, both in the group sessions and in the 121 sessions.

My son has gained so much confidence and improved conditioning since training with Dean. The sessions are not only fun and engaging, but they’ve made a real difference to his strength, fitness, and overall mindset. We’ve seen how this has directly supported his rugby training — he’s more resilient, focused, and physically prepared on the pitch.
Dean has a fantastic way with the kids, pushing them to do their best while keeping everything positive and encouraging. Roman genuinely looks forward to every session, which says it all.

The most incredible birthday party!
We got in touch with Dean about running a party for our daughter’s 10th birthday - she’d done a session with him at a fun day and fell in love with Mini Warriors!
We had around 30 attendees ranging in age from 2-45, all of varying fitness levels, every single participant was pushed to work harder than they thought they could (age appropriately), and had the absolute time of their lives in the process.
Coming from someone who doesn’t particularly enjoy physically exerting themselves, I can say I’ve never had more fun doing exercise! We had so many comments what an incredible experience it was - a party like no other.
Dean is an all round top bloke, and a fantastic trainer/motivator. Somehow when he tells you to do something, you just do it (even if you doubt that you can).
He has built something completely unique in MW, a real niche that combines fitness, respect, and teamwork. We’d thoroughly recommend him and his bootcamps to anyone, and if you’re thinking of a MW party/private bootcamp, stop thinking and book - It will be thoroughly enjoyable and remembered for a lifetime!

I was nervous about joining Sunday…
I was nervous about joining Sunday morning Adult Boot Camp, but those worries quickly vanished. The early workout energises my entire day. Dean runs a well-structured program that accommodates all fitness levels, tracks progress, and motivates continuous improvement. Dean pushes you to excel. Classes vary weekly with genuine team spirit throughout. Everyone is friendly, and the camaraderie is exceptional. We're planning to climb Snowdon and organize other activities together. Most weeks we grab coffee afterward to share tips and celebrate progress. Expect hard work, like-minded people, and real results. I highly recommend these sessions.
Highly Recommend Dean!
I was introduced to Dean and the MW Bootcamp by a friend, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made.
From the very first bootcamp session, the energy was immaculate and you meet great people of all abilities. The workouts are tough but genuinely enjoyable, and it’s a cracking way to start the day. Dean puts you through your paces, keeps the sessions varied, and makes sure you’re always pushing that little bit further than you thought you could.
Since then, I’ve also been doing 1-1 sessions with Dean, and this is where the real transformation has kicked in. He constantly challenges me to beat my own mind, stay consistent, and refine my technique, and I’m already seeing and feeling the benefits in my strength and fitness. Dean manages to strike the right balance between supportive and no-nonsense. He listens, but he doesn’t let you talk yourself out of doing the work. Every session feels purposeful, and you walk away knowing you’ve given your best.
I would recommend Dean and the MW Bootcamp to anyone who wants real results and is ready to be pushed in the right way. Thank me later.
Another successful visit!
We have just had Dean in our school for the second year in a row and we had a great time. Dean worked with children from Foundation Stage through to year 6 and every child came away with a huge smile on their faces wanting to do more push ups. Thank you for another great event.
Fitness super star
Joined Dean’s bootcamp 5 weeks ago and honestly thought I wouldn’t survive the first session. I was 83kg, couldn’t run half a kilometre without feeling like I needed an ambulance, and my diet basically consisted of “guesswork and snacks.”
Fast forward to now: I’m 75kg, running 5k without stopping (who even am I?!), and actually eating like a grown-up should.
Dean hasn’t just helped me physically, but mentally too — he somehow makes you believe you can do it, even when your brain is screaming “no chance.”
Big thanks to Dean for helping me change my life. If he can get me running and eating broccoli, imagine what he could do for you!

Fantastic
Mini Warriors always creates such a buzz around the school. We have had Dean in three times now to our school and we will continue to welcome him back. All children benefit from his sessions so it is a great use of sports premium budget.
Mini-Warriors in school
Dean came to our school to lead Mini Warrior sessions with our Y2-6 classes and they absolutely loved it. They were physically and mentally challenged and the children were encouraged to develop team work and resilience skills. We would welcome Dean back to our school!
Sports week
Dean came into our school as part of our sports week. He ran bootcamp fitness sessions with years 2-6 and some tug of war competitions at the end. He really motivated our children to try their best but also took them out of their comfort zones! The sessions were well organised and very inclusive. Would definitely recommend.
