What should I do if my limited company cannot pay its debts?
Seek advice as early as possible. Options can include an HMRC Time to Pay arrangement, a CVA, restructuring, administration or liquidation depending on the company's circumstances.
Can I close a limited company that has debts?
Yes. An insolvent company may be closed using a formal procedure such as a Creditors' Voluntary Liquidation (CVL). The appropriate route depends on the company's financial position.
Can you help with HMRC, VAT or Corporation Tax arrears?
Yes. We advise directors dealing with HMRC arrears including VAT, PAYE and Corporation Tax and can explain options including Time to Pay arrangements and insolvency procedures.
What happens to a Bounce Back Loan if my company is liquidated?
Bounce Back Loans and other company liabilities need to be considered as part of the company's overall insolvency position. We can review the circumstances and explain how they may be treated during liquidation.
What happens if I have an overdrawn director's loan account?
An overdrawn director's loan account can become important during insolvency because money owed by a director to the company may need to be repaid. We recommend reviewing the account before appointing an insolvency practitioner.

Honest, knowledgeable and helpful
I spoke with Shane seeking advice on closing my company, believing that my only option was liquidation. Seeking the background of the situation I was in, Shane provided honest and helpful information and guidance to dissolve instead. He was able to answer all of my queries and gave me confidence this was the correct route to proceed with. His advice on an alternative solution not only saved me money but also a lot of hassle.
