I have had 2-10 Home Warrenty since we purchased our home in 2010. I have the Supreme Service. I have use them for multiple appliance and HVAC issues. I have had great service even when a contractor that didn't perform a expected. They replaced the contractor and my issue was resolved satisfactorily and within a satisfactory time frame. I recommend them as a good home warranty company.
Don't use this company if you value your life and safety
My AC has been out since July 31st, 2025 (26 days and counting). The unit is a 1998 Goodman system with a blown compressor, refrigerant leak, and obsolete R-22 refrigerant. Both technicians sent by 2-10 confirmed that the system is NOT repairable (according to standard practices in the HVAC industry) and needs full replacement. I have Supreme Coverage with the Luxury add-on, which removes the $3,000 cap and covers replacement up to $25,000.
Despite that, 2-10 has stalled, sent multiple techs to fish for cheaper bids, and even altered my online contract mid-claim to try to reinsert the $3,000 cap after I escalated. I have called 14 times, emailed 5 times, and even sent a letters to their executive team, all of which have been completely ignored.
Meanwhile, my home reached 88°F inside during a heatwave. My husband and I both suffered heatstroke, and I was forced to spend $1,265 out-of-pocket just to survive (portable AC units + non-covered costs). I had to essentially sign a blank check promising that I would handle all "non-covered" costs in order to proceed with help, and four separate folks in the claims department (Oliver, Karen, Valerie and Andy) have assured me that I am eligible for a replacement unit, and despite the fact that this is nearly the same price that my current service technician quoted as it would be to repair the compressor, replace the broken lines that leak, and reinstall the discontinued R-22 refrigerant, 2-10 has willfully ignored all the facts and continues to give me the run around.
This is bad faith insurance at its worst: delay, contract manipulation, and total disregard for customer safety.

I've been trying to get HVAC service for my home for over a month…
I've been trying to get service for my HVAC unit since before the middle of July.. they have yet to supply a reliable contractor.. the first one was a no call/no show at least twice.. the customer service I have recieved horrible except this one lady I talked to.. I've been hung up on several times by several several different agents.. then when you ask to used a local contractor they only allow you a $300 reimbursement unless it is an approved service.. which is code for we're not paying for it cost too much.. the second, contractor never contacted me at all.. no call or text.. no appointments in the portal..NOTHING‼️‼️‼️.. then when I contacted 2-10 again..all they told me was that my case had been assigned to dispatch and it would take 1-3 business days for them to get back to me and to check my email.. if they haven't haven't reached out to me by then.. give them a call back.. why do i have to keep contacting you for a service I've already paid for.. what happening to doing your job and following up to make sure the service is completed.. also I called about having service electronic service for my appliances.. they said that each appliance would have to be a different service call which would be $100 each..I definitely will NOT be recommending 2-10 Warranty company to anyone that I know
Bad coverage, horrible service
We paid them about $800. Freeze and dryer had issues. They denied the dryer problem because the part they say is malworking is not covered, and that is inconsistent with what the technician said. They can't get it to me in writing.
The technician himself has 1.2 stars on yelp...
The freezer coverage, turns out, is limited at $400 minutes the $75 I paid and the $160 they supposedly pay the technician. So I get almost nothing.
Also really bad customer service with repeated 7-10 minutes hold.
Everything about this company screams go somewhere else.
2 months with a broken dishwasher and still waiting
We have had (and are continuing to have) an awful experience with 2-10. Our dishwasher broke two months ago and we are still waiting for them to order the part for the technician to replace it. They have sent four different dishwasher repair companies out, and these guys either wouldn’t show up or wouldn’t submit the report properly and we would be back at square one waiting for 2-10 to send someone else out.
Every time we call their customer service they either tell us a lie (like the technician is coming today to fix it), or hang up on us.
We have two kids under two and going on two months with no dishwasher.
This company is an absolute scam and I would not recommend using them for your home warranty.

If there was less than a 1 star, then I would give it! I called for a plumber for a simple toilet plunge task. They have NO PLUMBERS in my area. I had to find a plumber, make him write up an estimate, get it approved, then he could do the work. Plumbers do not like having to wait until their estimate is approved so it was a real hassle. I mean if I have to find my own plumber, then why do I have a home warranty?? Save yourself money and tons of aggravation and on top of that I could hardly understand the customer claims people. The woman had to spell out 50% of what she was talking about.
SAVE YOUR MONEY and TIME!!!!
This company is NOT interested in the best interest of the consumer. They will go to ANY length to push out a claim for non-payment. The hold times are ridiculous. I was on 3 way call multiple times for over an hour with the 2-10 representative and my out of network contractor (due to long wait time for in network to 2-10). We were on these call for well over an hour some times close to 2 hours with several holds in between. The questions go round and round to each and every component of the HVAC system. The contractor was very accommodating, however, once ALL required diagnostics and information was submitted, 2-10 required a second opinion from their in-network vendor. This would have pushed the repair out another 2 weeks to a month in the Full June/July Heat (currently 104 degree index). Not worth the money, time and energy fighting with these crooks over the pennies they will agree to pay. SAVE YOUR MONEY and TIME!!!!
Untrustworthy
I just read a review on here about a woman in VA who was without AC for 14 days in the heat, and it pissed me off even more what we've been dealing with. I'm in Virginia, and we're about to experience a heatwave. This company has made it clear that they do not care about you, but only about themselves and what works for them. I have been without AC for over two weeks, and they have shown little to no concern about having our AC fixed. First, they ordered a part that couldn't be used. Then, they said they would have to place a new order. However, it has been over 24 hours, and no order has been placed yet. How long does it take to place an order? My husband has called multiple times, and their response is, "We will try to put it in by this afternoon." Again, how long does it take? These people know we're about to be hit with a heat wave. So, if you want a company that truly is there for you, don't go with this company. It's disgusting the way we've been treated for almost two weeks now, with no end in sight yet. We have purchased portable AC units for our home and dehumidifiers, and we probably would have been better off paying for the AC ourselves, since these people don't seem to care. I should have learned a lesson when our oven broke, and it took a couple of months to repair. Do not trust them.
2-10 Home Warranty Not trustworthy
Upgraded my warranty coverage to Luxury package. Spoke with customer service rep who said that would be the package I needed to have coverage for everything. I even mentioned big items like HVAC replacement etc. and he said it would be covered. fast forward to now and the HVAC needs to be replaced. They say they have no record of the conversation and even though the HVAC needs to be replaced they will not cover the air handler replacement. The HVAC and air handler are now 30 years old and need to be brought to code. 2-10 has tried to repair it for 5 years so they would not have to replace it. Terrible that they will not stand by the word of their customer service.

They refused to cover our heat pump and mini splits, despite the basic warranty coverage reading:
”BASE COVERAGE: Centrally ducted refrigeration systems, (includes heat pump), Evaporative cooler, Built-in electric wall units, Multiple units, Thermostats.”
We had also paid for extra HVAC coverage, paying around $1200 a year. Our house and system are only a few years old.
As a ”gesture of goodwill” they sent us a check got around $500 for our ”uncovered system” that received an estimate of about $4000 to fully repair.
It took several phone calls and suggested bandaid fixes to what has been a multi year problem before it was finally escalated and determined to be ”not covered”. It seems pretty clear that they’ll try to weasel out of claims as much as they can.

Just cancelled them today!!! Absolutely useless company!! AC (compressor) died on a saturday and got an emergency visit on sunday morning which was great. But the good part ends there, the first tech wanted me to do his legwork and pay ahead for the warranty items which is a flat NO! The next wave of technicians would not deal with a manufacture warranty, the last wouldn't deal with a Trane system. It had already been 14 days without AC.
So I had to go out of network which cost me 3600 dollars they would only comp me 360. Their excuse was we could have found a technician that didn't mind dealing with a manufacture warranty.
Mind you here in Northern Va its been 93 degrees in my house this entire time. Had to buy window units to get by, but you wanted me to wait additional time to you can keep contacting technicians until you find one that works. So told them to keep the 360 and I cancelled them. Would give the entire company negative stars if I could.
Treats Customers like they are STUPID
I called because typing hurts my hands, (a friend is doing this). Before I could register a service call they offered me a $150 rebate for a new refrigerator. Now a service call is $100 and if they cannot fix it they replace it. So clearly this is a SCAM. I have paid for 2 years with very few service requests and they try to RIP ME OFF!!

Steer Clear! Don’t be a dummy like I was..
When we bought our house it came with a 2-10 Home Buyers warranty. I had to file a claim regarding our HVAC within the first year. The response time is horrible and the problem was temporarily fixed. I had to call out a different company because shorty after the problem was “fixed”, the AC quit working on the weekend. The second claim was for a roof leak that was never resolved by 2-10, lucky for me my realtor helped me out. Four years and nearly $4000 dollars in premiums later, my garage door started acting up, only working intermittently. Then without any explanation but a really severe cold front moving through our area, all my remotes and outside keypad quit working. I thought the problem was solved after I reset the garage door opener by following the manufacturer’s instructions (on a day that was warmer). When the temperature dropped again everything quit working. I submitted a claim, but when the technician showed up two days later at 1pm and the temperature had risen to around 58 degrees, everything started working. He collected his $105 (because there is a 5 fee for a card) and told me there was nothing he could do because the problem could not be replicated. Two other houses in our neighborhood build in the same time frame all with the same overhead garage door opener, failed during extreme temperatures. One of my neighbors even came over to explain that his garage door did the same thing. The technician blamed it on a storm then switched up and asked about fluorescent light saying that could be a problem. The technician said he would submit it and I would have to wait on a decision wether or not the problem would be fixed. I called customer service and said she would escalate the issue but it would be at least 2 days before I would even get a call back. This coverage is absolutely useless. The contractors that show up are not in company vehicles, no identification, and they want a check or cash. Yes, shame on me for keeping the coverage for so long, but this company doesn’t care about fixing anything, but they will email you to death to renew their service. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

I purchased two contracts from 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty. The first issue with my double oven made me realize how shady this company is. After the contractor informed me that the part was not available from GE and the oven needed to be replaced. I received email from them with two offers 1- to order pre-owned part from Ebay or cash toward the repair for $189.00. I called them and was on hold on the phone for an hour. I asked the questions Can you please show me where the used part is mentioned in the contract? The answer was that it does not mention a new part in the contract as well. Be aware of how they are using their words and contracts.

SO PLEASE DO NOT LOOK AT THEIR SWEAT DEALS THEY GOT STARS FOR THE CHEAP PRICE NOT FOR THE ACTUAL WORK FOR ACTUAL WORK THEY HAVE NO STARS.PEOPLE HAD LOST SO MUCH MONEY. I STILL HAVE INSURANCE WITH THEM THEY ARE NOT CANCELING MY POLICY AND HOLDING MY MONEY TOO. I HAD TOTALY FOR GOTTEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN I RECEIVED THEIR ADVERTIZE ON MY PHONE THEN I REMEBERED THAT HOW THEY MADE ME CRY LAST YEAR THEN I STARTED POSTING ABOUT THIS COMPANEY
Take forever to get service
If you have a problem that requires a part, they have to order it. It takes 5 business days for them to put the order in then add shipping and time for your installer to install it. Just a miserable service all around.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. 2-10.com has no customer support email address, so the only support you can reach is via phone. Hold time often exceeds an hour.
I had a problem with their support portal not creating a service request properly and spent an hour waiting to talk to someone, who could only agree that the site was not working for them either. I was told the issue would be escalated. Didn't hear back for a couple of days. I then went through the process again. It was a miserable groundhog day experience of a non-functioning website and incompetent support.
After another day, the site started working for me - finally.
A warranty is worthless if you can't use it. I guess they count on this fact.

This company makes it extremely difficult to contact them by phone. Their website is less than user-friendly and their representatives (IF you can get them to answer the phone) give conflicting information about what needs to happen to facilitate repair/replacements. I have needed to contact them by phone at least 5 times in the past month. Each time, I was on hold for more than an hour before I finally gave up and hung up. I finally got through after being on hold for 2.5 hours!! They want me to renew the contract with them at a 33% increase. There is NO WAY I will do that.
Extremely long phone call holds
I have had 2-10 home warranty for two years and filing a claim is a nightmare. One and a half hour phone call holds just to get through. Impossible if you have a question and they transfer you for another hour and a half hold.
One down side is that there is limited…
One down side is that there is limited help after hours and on weekends. We had a sewer issue on a Friday night and had to hire someone ourselves or wait until Monday. We hired someone and then sent a claim in to be reimbursed, which we did get reimbursed for the plumbing coming out. I just wish it was 24/7 like some other companies.
