A1ortos

Tony was great, there was no hard sell or pushy salesman. He explained everything from start to finish in a calm manner. The whole process was smooth. We would definitely recommend purchasing you next car from them!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Excellent experience from start to finish!
Jay was Honest and helpful from the start, making sure everything was perfect for us!
On collection day he even ran me to collect some nappies while we waited from the shop for baby as I had forgotten them! One of a kind experience! Thank you Jay!

Well spoken and polite salesman Brett hassle free process gave the best price for my part ex and the cars they sell are top of the range and the best examples of prestige cars very happy and satisfied with the service I’ve received a very happy customer

Third car from A1 Ortos… never been let down.

This is the third car I’ve bought from A1 Ortos and each time I’ve been made to feel like their best and only customer.

All the team are really helpful. Tony looked after us this time, his knowledge and advice made sure we were matched with the perfect car and a great price.

Getting a reliable and affordable car is one thing, getting first class service and aftercare is the icing on the cake.

AVOID AVOID AVOID SCAMMERS


****AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE, THIS DEALERSHIP IS NOT WHAT IT SEEMS**** UPDATE......at the point of purchase, they said they would have to send a V62 TO THE DVLA as they did not have the log book. Surprise of surprises, the DVLA are still to receive this 6 weeks on despite A1Ortos saying they resent as it must be "lost in the post". If you dig in to other reviews you will find a recurring issue here. **Legals pending as consumer rights have been dismissed out of hand. I was sold a jaguar with pre existing faults and have rejected the car under the consumer rights act as per UK law but A1ORTOS refused to comply. They also refuse to supply data under my SARS request which is also non compliance of UK law**

I will be gathering further information about A1 Ortos. Very interested to speak with others who have issues, look me up on socials.(FB)

All seemed good when first thought my…

All seemed good when first bought my car from them, however 4 weeks later and after I already paid them the money difference that was needed to settle the finance on the car I part exchanged with them and it still hasn’t been paid I’m currently paying finance on two cars!! Absolute joke, I’ve bought lots of cars from garages in the past and ever other garage has always paid it straight off, they now have my car in they’re name which I’m paying for and need to get trading standards involved to sort it out

Well well well...

They've removed my previous review and complained, when nothing was said that wasn't true!

Cars are valued, with damage on, 10-15% above retail book value, lie to your face then shrug and laugh when caught out.

Went to see a car advertised as 'mint', had bodywork damage, rear diffuser damage, damage to the front splitter, they said nothing would be sorted on the car as its "6 years old you expect damage" and wouldnt even take a penny off the list price stating "I knew the price of the car before I turned up so you should be happy with the price". Some small surface scratches maybe but a damaged door, broken rear diffuser, broken front splitter, chips and scratches, needed about a grands worth of work doing before it should even turns up in a showroom! salesman clearly know less than zero about cars, and are exactly that - salesman! was offered 4 grand less for my car in its current condition than WBAC would offer! (I've since sold my car for £4,250 more than this lot offered (sold for £8,000, they offered £3,750), to another garage the week after lol - could have got 10k private easy) lots of paid reviews for this company, its changed owners multiple times and only been in business a few years. Clearly they sell cars to people with issues, who don't know about cars, then don't look after them as the reviews state. Been building cars, buying and selling them longer than this garage has been in business and I can tell you now, avoid this place like the plague. So many red flags its unreal.

If you keep trying to take my reviews down I'll make sure some bulk reviews get put in :) poorly run business, with shady practises should be known to people who are spending their hard earned money on a car and putting trust in a garage run properly, which you clearly aren't.

Kenny was really helpful and was not pushy at all. Eased us through the purchase of our Q7 and was very patient throughout us making our decision, which we really appreciated.

Fingers crossed this will be one of many purchases from A1 Ortos..

Second purachase

I have just purchased my second car from A1 AUTOS the quality of the cars and customer service here are unmatched in my opinion. A special thanks to Tony who gave me a great buying experience and very knowledgeable about the cars. No question was too much trouble.

My first car I bought from here lasted me 13 years so I have complete confidence in any purchase I make here as the stock is hand picked and only quality cars are put on show here.

We were made to feel comfortable as…

We were made to feel comfortable as soon as we arrived. Kenny showed us our new vehicle, which we were delighted with, we offered refreshments whilst we went through the paperwork and details. All in all a great experience.
Would highly recommend and would definitely use the garage again in the future.

Smooth Experience Shout out to Tony

We have had a smooth experience buying our new vehicle with Tony at A1 Ortos. He has been professional and patient throughout as we were in the middle of a house move! The car and warranty package was just want I was looking for and Tony was very knowledgable throughout. Thank you Tony.

Kenny at A1Ortos

Purchased a Mercedes E-Class Coupe in mid-March from Kenny, and my experience has been a mixed bag.

The good:
I enquired about the car's registration so I could run some checks, and shortly after, Kenny left a voicemail with the registration number.
I then called to ask a few questions and to book a test drive for the weekend. Kenny followed up during the week to confirm the test drive and also gave the usual sales pitch about how great the car is.

When I arrived for the test drive everyone was polite and welcoming. After a short wait, the car was brought to the forecourt.
It looked nice and clean, and smelled lovely too.

They have a variety of nice and clean looking cars, the showroom is an eye candy.

The neutral/bad:
The brakes on the car looked bad with unevenly worn discs (this was somewhat visible in the photos and but was easy to confirm in person). When I brought it up to Kenny, he didn’t respond—just kind of froze, and then the vibe suddenly shifted from talkative and cheerful to something like "ah here we go...". This is very hard to explain but the mood didn't feel right and it made me think that he knew about the condition of the brakes and wasn't happy that I caught on. The brakes felt mushy during the test drive, otherwise the car drove fine.

He didn't budge on the price, fair enough... He gave a speech on how others were ready to buy the car but couldn't because I had a deposit down, he had buyers lined up that he could sell to immediately, and they price their cars to sell (a very similar spec car took 2 months to sell on their website).

I agreed to the price. Mind that there is an additional £299 "basic package" that you have to pay for.

Then comes the part trying to upsell overpriced warranty up to 3 years. I agreed to the "premium package" that gives 6-month warranty and also adds an HPI report as well as a "full machine polish & detail". Fun fact: Kenny says: "Mate, people usually take the 2 or 3 year warranty, it's great. Say your panoramic sunroof breaks down on your Merc, it is a minimum £1500 fix when you take it to the dealership". Guess what is NOT covered as stated in the T&C of the warranty they sell? Yep, Panoramic sunroof... Great product knowledge there, Kenny...

I brought up the brakes again, and Kenny assured me they would be checked and that the car would be serviced before collection.
Then he fiddled with the laptop a bit and had a quiet chat with the manager and then magically "oh the car has already been serviced and brake pads have been replaced so it's good to go". Showed me a service entry on the laptop that noted these actions (the mouse cursor was blinking in edit mode so make of that what you will...)

I also mentioned a chip in the windscreen and few chips in the paintwork. He said these would be fixed before collection.

I wanted to see the T&Cs of the HP finance agreement but was told I can't until I sign the documents. You want me to sign a legally binding loan document before I can see the terms?...
Although I purchased the "premium package" he printed the terms for the "basic package" and wanted me to sign. I requested the correct document to be printed and refused to sign until then but he said don't worry mate it doesn't matter. Didn't print to right one.

On the day of collection the car looked clean but not any different than before (no proof of "machine polish & detail" but it is subjective). The chip in the windscreen was fixed. He said they could not fix the paint chips due to the colour of the car but ordered touch-up paint. He said he would post it to me so I should receive this in a couple of days. Also did not receive an HPI report.

I took the car to a MB dealership after two weeks to have it checked. They could not believe the poor state of the brake discs and advised me to replace them immediately and talk to the garage who sold me the car. I had them replaced at an independent garage and didn't bother discussing this with A1Ortos. My sanity is worth more than a few hundred quid figthing for this and probably getting nowhere with these guys.

I waited about two weeks but didn't receive the touch-up paint, contacted Kenny to get a copy of service they performed on the car, the correct warranty docs and the touch-up paint.
Had to chase him and A1Ortos multiple times over a month to get these.
I got the service docs in about 6 weeks (different than what he showed me on the day, this one only mentions engine oil change, which kind of shows what he showed me was done on the spot).
I got the premium warranty docs from the service supplier in an automated email in 6 weeks.
I received the touch-up paint in 7 weeks.

Overall they are fine with a touch of incompetency.
The car had the exact trim level and colour I wanted, which is a rare combination, which is why I put up with the sales pitch, high price, and unnecessary "packages", otherwise I would've taken my custom elsewhere.
