Great quality shoes.

As advertised! Great craftsmanship from a wonderful family!

My first pair of shoes for this season (have ordered many) actually fell apart but Adelante was very quick to replace them. I received a new pair in a very short amount of time. It's the first time I've ever had an issue with these shoes but it's like it never happened. My replacement pairs are holding up as expected and I will keep ordering new ones each spring as they are great summer shoes!

I ordered the wrong size initially. Being custom, the shoes are not returnable. But Adelante offered to make the right size for a very fair price and told me to keep (give away) the ones I initially received. No problem at all.

The new shoes are terrific and look great. I have 5 pairs now.

Shoes are well made, comfortable and exactly the size requested. Had to have a previous purchased pair resoled and the local repair person is also very impressed with the quality and workmanship. Will be ordering again.

I’ve been looking for the right pair of navy penny loafers for 25 years—no joke—and I’m very particular about the style. I decided to take a chance on the Sabina b/c they said you could switch out for the Sofia if it wasn’t right. Well, it wasn’t, but I didn’t think Sofia would be either. The men’s Luca, however, was really what I wanted. I like the higher vamp (the top part)—I didn’t know the term for it—and that preppier style is what I’ve been looking for but can never find in a women’s loafer. I talked to Chris, and he refashioned the Luca to fit a woman’s foot in my size. These shoes are great! So comfortable, great craftsmanship, and Chris was a dream to work with. I’ll be buying these in more colors!

Fantastic customer service and comfortable shoe, even for a size 15EE with a high instep.

I purchased a pair of Condessa boots and loved the virtual fitting. Unfortunately, the boots didn’t close up because I have thicker calves. I contacted them, they scheduled me for a refitting, and addressed my concerns. The team really went above and beyond to make me happy and I really appreciated their flexibility, understanding, and kindness. It’s not easy when you have thicker legs to find boots that fit well, so I was really grateful for Adelante’s willingness to work with me. Would definitely recommend them and I’ll be purchasing another pair in the future!

I’ve order 4 pairs of shoes from them all are great. Some I’ve had for years they’re holding up great and I love that they’re such a high quality I can get them repaired. The shipping can take a while but they make everything to order so that’s understandable. They’ve even been helpful when I’ve reached out to customize a shoe in a color or way they don’t offer online.

Order #57964: Shoes arrived packed in plastic bag without a box and were full of scratches and scuffs that made them unwearable. The site stated full-grain leather, but the nubuck leather quality appeared to be at best top-grain. Not satisfied at all with the quality and so far no response from the customer service team to may email.

Awful lying business platform and lousy shoes. The company changed its return policy anfter I ordered and rendered all orders unreturnable, even mine which was purchased under a previous return policy. No customer service rep would ever contact me and I can’t even write a review on the website. I purchased by trusting an online reviewer and a return policy. Shoes took 6 months to arrive and were stiff, poorly made and uncomfortable. AVOID!

I wish Adalante would come clean with their website. They had an amazing product back in 2023. After years of seeing their shoes and boots at the Holiday Markets in NYC I decided to buy a pair. It took 3 tries for them to get it just about right. I felt like Goldilocks! There was clearly a communication issue between Guatemala, and the sizing info. being sent from NYC. The boots were beautiful. Last season, there was no presence at the Holiday Market, but a booth at the UWS's Grand Bazaar, of random sizes and styles. This should have been a clue that something was amiss. They found me what I wanted and when the package arrived it contained a pair of men's loafers - not the women's boots I was expecting. Thankfully, I did get my refund. I am seeing several reports that the company is no longer in production. However, the web site is up and running. My suggestion is to call your credit card company if your order is wrong or missing. This was a great company with a wonderful business model! Do the right thing and come clean. If you are selling left over product - say so! Take honest pics of the sizes and merchandise, and you might be able to sell your inventory.

I've ordered several times from this company over the years and always had a good experience until now. I ordered a pair of shoes in June and did not receive them until August. They did not fit and had been worn before because the soles were dirty. I have written to them half a dozen times to try and return them and have only gotten automated replies from "customer service" if you can call it that. They should be ashamed of treating a longtime loyal customer so poorly. Something is definitely wrong there now. Stay away!

Horrible shoes! False advertising! Badly made. Stains. Wrinkles. Total waste. Tried to return -- no answer! Have to fight the charge.
