Just got back from my second outing with AdventureBase and this time summited Mont Blanc (last time summited Gran Paradiso but didn’t manage Mont Blanc due to weather). The ‘turbo’ course is a great idea as it’s a slightly shorter course for those who have been before and doesn’t unnecessarily repeat the basic training. As before, the organisation was spot-on at every stage from booking to course completion and enough information is provided for you to know what to expect at all times. All the AB people are great - professional but also welcoming and friendly. Olly and Virginia in Chamonix seemed genuinely as pleased as I was that we summited and it feels as though they are really rooting for you and want to do everything they can to help you achieve your goal. Our guide (Jon) was excellent and stoically accommodated my slow pace on the descent due to me hurting my ankle. The accommodation in Chamonix is good and is heaven to get back to after a couple of nights in the mountain huts!
All-in-all, I believe it’s great value for money and they provide the sort of experiences which will live with you for a lifetime. I will never forget Mont Blanc. Thanks to all at AB for making it happen.

I chose Adventure Base as they were the only company I could find that allowed solo self-guided complete Tour du Mont Blanc and being based out of Chamonix, I figured they would know the area and conditions well. I was not disappointed - they exceeded all expectations, making this trip as smooth and stress free as possible for me, particularly being solo. I would highly recommend this experience for other solo travellers as you meet so many incredible people from all around the world along the way and have a help line for advice from Adventure Base if you need it.

We had a spectacular trip - and Adventure Base was a big reason why. The staff was proactive before the trip, providing advice on packing and IMPORTANTLY on weather and proper equipment (ie micro-spikes and poles) to make us safe and comfortable. All the staff were knowledgeable and responsive to all our many questions during the Tour. It was like having a personal guide OFF the mountain - a prefect solution as we wanted to hike on our own but wanted expert advice. thank you!

Had such an amazing week and managed to summit both Gran Paradiso and Mont Blanc!
The trip was perfectly organised and ran smoothly by Olly and the others at Adventure Base. Our guides Fede and Luis are experts and kept us safe and entertained throughout the climbs.
This was my first experience of mountaineering and I enjoyed it so much I'm sure it won't be my last! Highly recommended 👌🏻

The 3 days on Gran Paradiso was great acclimatisation and it’s also a fantastic peak.

Our guides were fantastic. Friendly, funny and nothing was too much for them.

Olly was able to give drop us off and pick us up from Les Houches which was great. He also met us for a beer after we got back to Chamonix. It’s these little touches that make the difference.

I will be booking another trip with Adventure Base and will be recommending them to friends.

I booked to summit Mont Blanc with Adventure Base & everything went flawlessly, from the arrival in Chamonix, to the acclimatisation summit of Gran Paradiso, & of course summiting Mont Blanc. Our guide Fede was incredible, & it was entirely thanks to him that we were able to summit. I’d absolutely book with Adventure Base for another trip!

From the day we chose AB, they asked the right questiona, gave clear information right away and made it easy to have the most worry-free TMB self-guided trip ever.

Beth was amazing. Ollie must have amazing relationships and be incredibly respected becauae all we had to do at amybof the lodgings was say Ollie at Adventure Base and everything was confirmed.

Challenges and distances were perfect for us. We will book with them again and tell all friends and family to use AB. They even gave us updates and advice along the way to keep us safe and to let us be able to take some variants.

They even went the extra mile with a shower and clean up in Chamonix.

Just returned from our self-guided trek around Mont Blanc! We had the most incredible experience with Adventure Base from the very start. Over the last 10 months the team has reached out consistently to make sure they were booking the trip with our needs in mind, as well as responding promptly and thoroughly to every question we had. Once we got closer to the trip, they sent team members to check the conditions and due to late season snow, recommended we bring crampons. We were SO happy to have them - we saw others on the trail that did not have that intel and had to turn back at Col du Bonhomme. On our first day, we arranged a time to meet up and they gave us our welcome briefing and we could ask all the questions we had. This allowed us to ask questions about current conditions and route recommendations. They also allowed us to rent poles from them and stored our extra suitcase upon our request. Once on the trail, we were in a WhatsApp where we received very fast replies to all our questions. This was like having a guide off the mountain - it’s amazing! Can’t recommend them enough, we are so happy with the trip thanks to them!

Our guides Nacho and Gareth were extremely knowledgeable and helpful, our experience would not have been the same without them. Doing Gran Paradiso as a training summit was very useful, we learned a lot, and it helped our Mont Blanc summit more safe and streamlined. Our Chamonix host Lea did a fantastic job organizing and coordinating meals and transportation. Looking forward to doing more Adventure Base experiences in the future!

Recently finished a trip climbing gran paradiso and mont blanc, the overall expierence was brilliant from day 0 booking till the last day. The challet, the staff, the guides, the organisation that goes into such a trip is massive but it feels very streamlined from the very start.

Would highly recommend anyone to adventure base.

Amazing 4 days, some amazing highlights and Jason was a superb guide who really understood the dynamics and capability of the group and led us expertly. His knowledge of the flora and fauna was really exceptional and truly added to the trip - every day is a school day and all that!

Adventure base are a fantastic company to experience the beauty of the alps with. I flew out to Chamonix to climb Mont Blanc and I arranged this through AB. This was a trip due to take place in August 2022, although the unprecedented heat wave made the trip unsafe to carry out, these things are acts of nature and cannot be helped. The difference between a good business and a bad one is how they handle those situations, Olly and his team arranged many options that worked for everyone and I opted to reschedule the trip to another time of my choosing at no additional costs, becuase I really wanted to take on Mont Blanc.

I have just returned home after an amazing week, climbing not one but two alps, Gran Paradiso and the mighty Mont Blanc!

The experience of a lifetime, I chose AB originally based on their great reputation and they did not disappoint. If they are good enough to take the likes of Richard Branson and Royal Family members, I'm quite sure that I'm in safe hands... and I was.

The guides were Fabio and Roger, both at the top of their game, experts in what they do and they looked after us exceptionally well. We established good friendly relationships and got to experience the beauty of the alps and felt safe in the care of these two guides. They were fun, professional, skilled, and made sure we were ok through out the trips. I summited Gran Paradiso with Fabio and Mont Blanc with Roger, both amazing people, full of life, experience and genuinely love what they do.

I would absolutely suggest Adventure Base or any future trips. I'm certainly glad I chose them.

Another great experience with Adventure base! I have been out with this company before, and so I decided to go and climb Mont Blanc with them, and it did not disappoint. We had a great week, Adventure Base took care of everything, from great accommodation both on and off the mountain, very experienced and friendly Guides Kyriakos and Jorge, as well as a lovely host Lea. A great company that I will use again for future Adventures!!

Adventure Base made our TMB section hike simple and easy. It was great having the provided GPS routes to know where to go without question. It was wonderful to know we had a team we could contact if we had any questions. We were able to modify the hike on the fly with the team to fit in travel plans and weather conditions, which made the whole process stress free.

Look no further (I will not). You are in the best hands! Highly professional, with great communication and very caring at every step. My experience was shaped by Fabio (130 times at the summit) and Olly (countless summits organized), both went an extra mile and ensured the Mont Blanc summit became real, tangible and memorable venture. In the last week I summited Mont Blanc and Gran Paradiso with Adventure Base. It was hands down one of the best weeks of my life. Olly was an absolute gentleman. The two guides Hamish and Gareth were absolute legends and did an excellent job guiding us all week. The weather couldn’t have been any better and I would do it again in a heartbeat

So lucky to have had a great trip with Adventure Base to GP and MB summits. The weather was fabulous, the extra snow made the mountains safer from rock fall, the guides 'Miha' & 'David (saved my life), were considerate, humurous and 100% trrusted in their skill to help us navigate the mountains. There is a real lack of water in the huts, so get used to being smelly and wearing the same clothes for a few days, but this is a by product of mountaineering. The views and snow in sunrise and the mornings were amazing, the team building and learning about tough situations changes you and builds character. The package was well worth it and everyone who assisted from AB were great. Top week away in the Alps. Thank you.

We went on a Gran Paradiso + Mont Blanc summit trip 7/6 to 14/6. We reached the summit both places, so mission accomplished 🙂
We had Miha as the guide the whole week and David joined us for Mont Blanc. Amazing people that 100% know their stuff, but still have a great sense of humor, you enjoy being around them and just make the trip so much better. We stayed in the Chalet with Lea as the host where everything was very nice (she makes some good cakes 😋).
I'm glad I had the opportunity, and would definitely go with adventure base again in the future. Very professional and you will feel safe from ordering to you go home again.
