Was good, however they have show blatant disregard for the game development community by constantly ignoring feature requests and help tickets. They said their target demographic was different which means we don't get any support :/

Lovely UI, little confusing in places, awful staff and support on forums. Will do everything in their power to blame it on something other than their own software.. If your a game dev, look somewhere else please, they do not have the tool nor care to cater to you

I was a long time Adobe user and still acknowledge that its the go to software in the industry - - BUT the Affinity software is a Fantastic substitute! And over the years it's only become more competitive.

My team and I started using Affinity when Adobe went to a forced subscription model and now my team almost exclusively uses Affinity through now, with an exception for Publisher. The best part is a license is SO MUCH less than Adobe. 10/10 recommend as the value is superior.

The software is good, and offers a great alternative to Adobe which is insanely expensive. I don't like how you have a PC or Mac licence though. People do sometimes switch from one to another, or use one at home and a different one at work.

I resented having to buy a new licence just because I don't use a mac any more. Customer services said it was somewhat standard in software and gave the example of how if you buy a videogame it is licenced for only one console, but I think that comparison is pretty weak and I don't think I've encountered it before.

I don't see how hard to could be to have some kind of cross-grade price.

l'interface de affinity est non intuitive a utiliser, comme ils ont recupere la clientèle de adobe ils auraient du utiliser une interface similaire au lieu d'essayer des fantaisies

The affinity programs are professional software for professionals, most of the negative reviews are from non-professional users. I'm using Designer, and Photo for years and I'm very satisfied with the pay model, so you don't need to subscribe. All affinity programs have great variation of features. Also the UI is quite good compared to Adobe products. Affinity software made a good job in many different tasks of my work in the games industry and for studying. I'm happy that there are people out there developing Affinity.

As as a user of version 1 of Affinity Photo I was keen to update to version 2 of the software. However, there is no discounted upgrade option for a single app. I later learned that there was an initial 40% off promotion for a short time after launch, so I contacted customer services to see if there was anything they could offer me in terms of a discount to upgrade. Their response was extremely disappointing, they strongly suggested that I already knew the product had been discounted and then proceeded to lecture me on internet security through what I deemed to be a series of condescending and sarcastic comments. Truly awful customer service.

It seems incomprehensible that someone who has never owned the software before could purchase at a 40% discount, but a previous customer looking to upgrade has to pay full price. This company will not be receiving any more of my money going forward.

I really wanted to like it, but I simply can't. Usability is a pain and it isn't a cheap option anymore. Bad on the iPad, freezes, app closes on it's just. It's just expensive. I bought 7 versions on iPad, MacBook and Windows.

My old Adobe license, that I payed top Dollar for back then, suddenly was shut down as Adobe wanted to force its customers to pay for yearly subscriptions.

I have been looking for a serious alternatives to Adobe since then, and Affinity was my choice of replacement.
I use both Affinity Photo, Designer, and Publisher on PC and…iPad! Yes, they do pro-grade apps for iPads, which is super cool. They have iOS versions as well.
The Affinity apps are not as advanced as Adobes full range of top professional software, but for me they meet my needs just fine as they are quite advanced after all. I haven’t had any stability issues with the software.

I recently upgraded from V1 to V2 without any hesitation. The price is very modest in my opinion, and the upgrade process was flawless and very easy, I think. I have also bought some add-ons without any problems.

I can fully recommend buying Affinity’s software products, and I am glad to support a European company that delivers serious competition to the near-monopoly companies.

Just so easy to use the basics. If you know the other mob's creative packages, you can easily use these.
I really like being able to edit the vector or raster graphics right in the publishing software without having to switch out.
V2 has a heap of new features. I haven't tried them yet, but the one I'm interested in is opening and editing DXF and DWG files. I just want to do basic things to CAD drawings. I can open the other mob's creative files as well.
Definitely worth downloading trial and watching a couple of how-to's.

I have been struggling to pay for the Version 2 software since it released last week. I have several emails between me and Adam that seems to sort out problems their users are facing. When i pay for the software, their website rejects the payment, but the money gets subtracted from my bank account. They have sent me a link to a forum post to troubleshoot the problem, but its irrelevant as nothing works they describe. I have tried paying 4 times and never got the software. I just lost my money from my bank account. Not sure when and how I will get it back as they do not provide the pdf documents my bank requested. I keep on nagging about. Its like they ignore the part in my emails that say. "please send the pdf's requested by my bank" I complained on twitter and all they could reply me there was basically.. We emailed you, you have your answer on what to do and... "Try to pay again" how? I don't have money left because of their faulty payment system. I never had this issue when I paid for version 1 back in 2016. I do not have this issue when I pay with my credit card on other websites. I paid for AppleTV+ without issue, paid for some stuff on Takealot.com and my card went through and I got my stuff. I have a PayPal account that is disabled for their website so I can't use that, but I can use it on places like CDkeys.com for gaming with no issue at all.

On second though. If you purchased the software a month or 2 before version 2 release, you will be disappointed as the software is obsolete now. You can't purchase version 1 anymore. With Adobe's steep monthly subscription you have more and better features than the latest features in the Affinity Software. The only good thing about Affinity is that you pay once and that's it. That's the only reason I wanted the software.

I am not going to try and buy it again now or in the future. Nor am I going to email them again as they don't provide what me and my bank request in order to retrieve my money. They rather leave you "broke" for the rest of the month as long as they can copy & paste some useless text to people with problems.

READ you F-ing emails properly Serif Affinity and provide people with a proper answer to what they request. I never got a proper answer about the 4 pdf documents I need for my bank. (The 4 payments I made) Rather say. Sorry, but our terrible system is too stupid to generate it for you. At least than I would understand rather than telling me my purchases failed. Duh! As if I do not know that.

Stay away from Serif Affinity for now until they can sort out their crap until the next discount.... Maybe... Whenever that is...

app is good but customer service is horrible

I just purchased Photo and Designer in September, and without warning, in early November they released a version 2. I came from Adobe Cloud on their promise of pay only once, but in less than 2 months of barely using it, the software I bough will never be updated again. Meaning if Apple breaks it with an OS update I'm left with nothing.

I paid a total of SGD147.42, not even managing to use both of the coupons they sent me after my trial finished. Now they want $119.96 to upgrade after what they call a "big" discount. This big discount only rewards newcomers, somehow I'm punished for being early 2 months.

On social media people were saying that people who bought within 90 days were getting a free upgrade. I wrote them and was given instead a 20% off coupon. This is off the discounted price, not the original price, so it's just a further reduction of $24. So I'm still looking at $95.96 for continued support.

Serif fails to grasp that there is a huge shortcoming with their software: it’s not the industry standard. Already I have to grapple with still needing to work with and share files in Adobe formats. Given this experience, I’m not giving a cent more to them and returning to Adobe.

Decided to switch away from Illustrator. Asked for download of Affinity Designer. When I tried to run it said the time had run out or expired. Went to their website to ask for help. No phone number, no email only facebook or twitter... seriously??? Personally I would not touch either of those with a barge pole and I certainly will not be using Affinity software if that's the level of support they offer!

Affinity Photo works great and is a perfect alternative to photoshop. It´s a very good photo eddit software.
But for my usage it was simply too much for my need and i asked for a refund, the hole process worked flaweless, nice quick communication via email.
So this is the reason i wanted to give them a very good recommendation.
This is a really good customer service. Thank you. maybe one day i will get back to affinity if needed, would prefere it to photoshop.

Ein Begleitbuch zu Affinity Publisher gekauft und bezahlt am 23. November 2021 und bis heute weder Ware noch eine Versandinformation erhalten. Vor drei Wochen! hieß es auf Nachfrage, dass es noch ca. 1 Woche dauere bis zum Versand. Seither nichts mehr...
Habe jetzt Storno beantragt und werde diesen unseriösen Anbieter und seine Produkte künftig meiden.
Nachtrag: Zumindest die Stornierung und Kostenerstattung lief problemlos.

Excellent software. Excellent support. Brilliant user forum with helpful people. Constantly updated apps, access to betas, feedback is welcomed and acted upon. No subscriptions. Very competitively priced. Superb value. I use all three apps daily. The iPad versions are brilliant. Can't say enough good things about the Affinity suite.

Beautiful UI, good UX. Stable PC applications, new updates rolling frequently. Strong alternative to Adobe Suite Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Massive bonus - no subscriptions and great price. Supports a graphic tablet. Good video tutorials. It gets better all the time.

Photoshop, became way to expensive for a indie developer like me. So I was looking for an alternative. At the lockdown they had a promo, so I had nothing to loose. All my plugins work in Affinity Photo.
In fact I even switched to Affinity Designer to. And I think about taking the Publisher also, so I have the complete deal.
Goodbye Addobe subscriptions!

The worse experience i have ever had with an online purchase. Good apps, the worse company. My advice for everyone: use the cracked versions.

Les logiciels "Photo", "Designer" et "Publisher" sont devenu mes indispensables au quotidien ! Des logiciels de qualité pour un prix vraiment abordable, surtout lorsque les logiciels sont proposés à -50% en raison de la pandémie ... Merci Serif, merci aussi à la communauté derrière !
