Staff in store were really helpful when the book I was looking for was out of stock. When I ordered it online instead it arrived very promptly.

Afrori Books is a great hub for books by Black authors, plus they host inspiring events like Diane Abbott's launch. I appreciated their prompt delivery service and discounts, though the overall experience could use a bit more polish. Still, it’s worth visiting in Brighton, especially for anyone seeking diverse literature.

Afrori Books offers a good range of books by black authors and organizes engaging events like Diane Abbott’s book launch. This place is a hub for the community. Carolynn is a wonderful community lead, with such a warm and intelligent demeanour. She always has her finger on the pulse, truly excited to see what she serves up for 2025. Wonderful unique events, lovely staff and excellent selection of books for all genres. Best bookshop I have ever been to, as it's everything it could be and more. Thank you for always pushing the boundaries Afrori team, so happy you are in Brighton!
