Worst company. Product is awful and when you try to cancel the site to cancel NEVER loads. I will dispute with my bank to remove charges and not authorize any future charges.

If I could give no stars I would. I also bought from them and they took money for a subscription which I did not agree to. They offered me a credit note which surprise surprise did not work and confirmed my subscription was cancelled. Now, some 6 months later they have taken more money and when I email them they give me the same answer that they have cancelled my subscription and are now ignoring my emails as I have asked for a refund. I will be taking this up with my bank.

So I purchased soap from this business back in July of 2025 and had an unexpected subscription which was not optional of which I requested it to be cancelled, I did not get any subscription fees until the 10th and 11th of February of this yar and they've taken £23 twice making the total cost £46 for a subscription that I requested to cancel. (They are literally stealing money)

I have done my research and this is the following.

Afroscrub, tryglownetic, getglowneric, or Glownetic are scammed companies. Once you place an order with your bank card on file, this company will continue to charge your bank card every couple of days. I had to close my bank card account. You've been warned!!!

I purchased from them which went fine, a week later they charged me for a subscription I did not agree to. I emailed them and got a refund and told them to make sure I was not subscribed.
Nearly 7 months later they tried to charge me again for the same subscription. They are crooks that will try to steal money from your account continuously once they have access to your details through purchase. There are many other African net sponge providers, save yourself the headache & avoid these scammers.
Edit: they’ve tried to take the subscription payment 4 times in one day since posting this review - I’m assuming they are upset and trying to charge me as punishment.

If a negative score was possible, this bunch of absolute charlatans would be getting one. I placed an order for the sponges. I was charged $29.99 on July 1, 2025 for 'Premium Support'. I was not informed when I ordered that this subscription was being tagged onto my purchase. I accepted my mistake, ate the $30 charge (for a sponge), and cancelled my subscription. Guess what's happened today? I've just been charged another $30.

I ordered and got the sponges spring 2025. It took weeks for them to arrive, but that wasn't the main problem. I started getting monthly charges of $29.99. When I called to complain, I was told you have to opt out or you will automatically be charged every month(they never sent more sponges just did a monthly charge.) The lady apologized, removed charges, and took me off the monthly service. February 2026 I just got a charge from Afro Scrub out of the blue. Now I can find no number to call. I'm going to call credit card company.

This company is a total scam not only do they lie about where the product is coming from...China not Africa. They continue to charge your card saying that you signed up for a subscription that you did not sign up for. This happened to me last year and they did not refund my money. Fast forward to today and I was charged for 24.95. When I emailed them they said they cancelled my subscription that I didn't have. No number to call, just an email that you get an automated response.

Dishonest about the purchase and takes advantage to be an ongoing payment. I requested refund, did not receive nor an option to send back. Assured me that my subscription was cancelled and was lied to, it was not cancelled and more payments came out. Product by Aftoscrub is itself extremely overpriced for what is essentially a glorified loufa. Cannot recommend this company less.

I placed an order on afroscrub website on 5th August 2025. I received my order weeks later to then find that they had set up a subscription that I wasn’t aware of, they have taken £24 out of my bank account on 2 separate occasions without even sending any goods for the payments that were taken.

DONT FOOL WITH AFRO SCRUB They are scammers. I did receive the product, but did not sign up for a subscription. Have been charged every month since July! Asked tjem for a refund and they told me that tjaybcand refund after payment is processed. I got them to cancel the subscription I DIDNT AUTHORIZE...then they told me I wouldn't be charged anymore. That was in Oct and why did they start back up this month!!! FK Afro Scrub. I went on the site to see how I could have made this mistake and the subscription box is already checked before u complete your transaction. So all these people are saying the same thing and they want u to believe u are the one thatvset up the subscription when they have already donr it in house. All these people including me couldnt have signed up for something and have the same complaints.

I ordered from this company last year and today I just got a charge on my card again. I reached out to them requesting a refund. That is very questionable

Don’t buy from them on Amazon or anywhere else. They automatically signed me up for their subscription without my knowledge and tried to take several payments. I don’t want the product as it is not authentic and now can’t get in touch with them to cancel the subscription. Do not buy from them

SCAMMERS. They apply a “subscription” when you place an order. I was being charged $47 a month for a “VIP access subscription”. You do not receive any products, it is a scam and I did not request or add a subscription to my cart. I have emailed them multiple times and all they do is lie about refunding and cancelling your “subscription”. It has been 6 months since my first order and these numb skulls just charged me again today. I’m now chasing money back through my bank investigating them. Save yourself the headache.

First they charged me for a subscription i never signed up for. I still don't know when I will receive my product. The web cite shipping is very misleading. This is the worse service I have ever had. My order procssed December/29th today is January 30th I have no product or even a tracking number. I will never purchase or recommend this company.

They never gave an update regarding package. Then when I requested a refund they ghosted me...They owe me 32 dollars.

When you make a purchase they add a subscription without you knowing. When you contact them they won’t return the money nor the partial refund they claim to offer. Payments will stop but at some point they will start again under a different name.

I wish I had read the reviews before my purchase! I didn’t receive my items and when I chased up, they “pushed” through the order and sent confirmation. It was coming from China, so not ethically sourced from Nigeria as they claim! The scrubs were ok, nothing amazing. Then for the next 2 months I was charged £23 for a marketing subscription I had allegedly signed up to when I placed the order. I disputed this and after several days of back and forth they refunded me one month and advised me it was cancelled. Now almost 6 months after my initial purchase I have a charge of nearly £40 on my card! They claim it is another subscription from my recent order! I am now trying to get a refund on this.

Please please please don’t buy from this company or give them your details, they will continually make unauthorised deductions for fabricated subscriptions. They have taken nearly £80 from me in unauthorised charges.

I am actually disappointed though as I chose this company as I wanted to support a black owned business : (

They have taken £169.99 out of my account under the guise of a free subscription over the last 7 months.
