My experience with this company has been extremely disappointing, and I would strongly advise others to think twice before hiring them.
I paid £1,795 for what should have been a professional one-day house move. Instead, I received a disorganised and stressful service from start to finish.
The movers wasted several hours during the day, causing unnecessary delays. Despite the very high price, the work was poorly organised and inefficient.
When they finished, I discovered that not all of my belongings had been delivered. Later that evening, another gentleman, who was not part of the original moving team, had to bring the rest of my possessions. Because they had run out of boxes, many of my belongings arrived packed in plastic bags, which resulted in several items being damaged or broken.
Some of my furniture was also damaged. One drawer was broken and they refused to repair it before leaving. They also left one of my windows open when they left the property, showing a complete lack of care and professionalism.
The only positive part of this experience was the gentleman who returned with my missing belongings. He apologised sincerely, even though he was not responsible for what had happened.
After paying £1,795, I expected a reliable, careful and professional moving service. Instead, I experienced delays, missing belongings, damaged furniture, broken items and extremely poor customer service.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company and I would never use them again.

We are sorry that you feel dissatisfied with your move. However, we do not accept that your review accurately reflects what occurred on the day.
The move was booked on an 8-hour slot, and our team carried out the removal in accordance with the signed booking agreement. During the move, we encountered circumstances outside our control, including roadworks, restricted parking, and limited access and space at the destination property. We have video evidence documenting these conditions, including the restricted parking and the available space after approximately 3:00 pm.
Although your booking included 40 moving boxes, we supplied more than 60 boxes at no additional charge to assist with your move. The volume of belongings and the limited space available at the destination meant that additional time was required to complete the work safely.
You have referred to CCTV footage as evidence. To date, we have only been provided with a short demonstration clip, which does not show the full day’s events or support the allegations made in your review. In contrast, we hold our own photographs, videos, job records and witness statements documenting the work carried out throughout the move.
When it became apparent that the agreed 8-hour allocation had been exceeded, we informed you that overtime charges would apply in accordance with the signed contract. It was only after this discussion that the allegations contained in your review were raised. We categorically deny that our team deliberately wasted time or acted unprofessionally.
AFS Removals remains committed to providing a professional service, and we are confident that the evidence and contractual documentation support our position. We remain willing to resolve any genuine concerns through the appropriate channels, but we also reserve our legal rights in relation to any inaccurate statements that may damage our business.

The movers arrived on time, handled all of our belongings with great care, and worked efficiently throughout the day. Every item was carefully protected, loaded, transported, and unloaded without any issues.

Avoid this company
Avoid this company - another online only removals company that cannot deliver what is promised or paid for!
They sent the removals team on the wrong day - which I only found out as a man who could barely speak English stated he couldn't find my house! I then had multiple phone calls with the company as they said I had the wrong day at my end! This was only resolved when I re-sent them their own quote which clearly stated the date the removal was scheduled for.
This was then followed up by multiple phone calls stating all sorts of potential issues that could stop the move taking place - which I had been very clear about when asking for a quote which they clearly hadn't accounted for.
They are now refusing to refund the deposit - which comes as no massive surprise if they cant even turn up on the right day.
Lost all confidence in the company and called to cancel the move and requested the deposit is refunded as no costs had been incurred.
The generic response back does make me laugh couldn’t have made it clearer to the team the potential access issues and the company have completely declined to refund my deposit.

Our records show that the booking was made via email and, at the time of booking, certain access details were not highlighted to us. When our team assessed the location, they identified safety concerns due to the steep access and weather conditions, which could pose risks to staff and property.
We always aim to be transparent about any issues that could affect a move and to prioritise health and safety. Regarding the deposit, this was handled in line with our agreed terms and conditions, which are provided at the time of booking.

Sorted me out last minute when the man with van I had originally booked didn’t show up. Very communicative, good price, very fast turnaround, nice driver and great service all round! Really helped me out thank you AFS removals! Will use them again.

No accountability, no response from company, AVOID
We paid for a dismantling, packing and moving to a home less than 10 miles away from each other. We were allocated 2 moving teams and trucks, and unfortunately one of the trucks broke down and the 2nd team never arrived.
The single team and truck had very little packing materials, no screwdrivers for dismantling, and one drill with 2 bits.
The team took over 3 days to finish packing (this was supposed to be a 2 day job), and the 2nd truck and team never arrived. Furniture was not properly dismantled, which we noticed on the second day when a large cupboard was half taken apart and carried into the truck. It broke in many places, so I had to return with my cousin to properly dismantle furniture which took most of the 2nd night. We experienced a bunch of different things, from furniture not being covered or secured when in transit, to the team losing screws from furniture dismantling to a set of house keys being lost and found eventually down the street.
We went through an insurance claim to replace broken and scratched furniture, and have not heard back from them since. There has been so much churn of employees, that no one can even give me a reference number for the insurance claim.
They seem to have blocked my phone number and do not reply to emails.
I would avoid this company.

Unfortunately, during your move one of the allocated vehicles experienced an unexpected mechanical issue, which impacted the original schedule. While our team worked hard to complete the move as quickly and safely as possible, we understand that delays and disruption can be frustrating and we apologise for the inconvenience caused.
With regard to the furniture damage claim, the matter was referred to the insurers in line with our standard procedure. However, the claim could not be progressed successfully as the supporting information and evidence requested by the insurers was not fully provided. In addition, some furniture dismantling and reassembly work was carried out by a relative of the client, which limited the insurer’s ability to assess liability for certain reported damages.
We would also like to clarify that we have not intentionally blocked communication and have always aimed to respond professionally wherever possible. We regret if there has been any misunderstanding during the process.
At AFS Removals, we take customer feedback seriously and continuously work to improve our services, staffing, and communication. We are sorry that your experience did not meet expectations and wish you all the best in your new home.

The whole experience was fantastic. I was contacted shortly after requesting a quote and had confirmed all the details of the move within an hour. Great Service
Easy to deal with. Booking was straightforward and AFS confirmed a few days before. The team turned up on time and were friendly and efficient. They packed up, drove to the delivery address and unpacked again, all with no drama or fuss. They made sure to place boxes where I needed them.
All in all, I can highly recommend.

AFS Removals provided us "Professional and courteous”from start to finish. The booking manager, Ammar organised the move very well. He made sure from the beginning, everything went smoothly. Steve, Sam and Nick came one day before for packing services, they dismantled the furniture and packed everything promptly and professionally. On the moving day, 5 men team came early with 2 Lorries. They loaded and packed all stuff with special care. It took about 4 hour to pack both lorries. The destination is about 30 minutes away. At the time both lorries arrived, the completion done and we already hot the keys of new house. They unloaded all the belongings on the right rooms. They are not so cheap as we have some other quotes. But the services, they provided are 10/10. I couldn't have asked for a better service, I thoroughly recommend AFS Removals.

I was helping my mum move and she was…
I was helping my mum move and she was nervous about it. The lads were fantastic with her. They didn’t rush her, they explained what they were doing, and even helped her carry a few personal items she wanted to keep with her in the car. It’s the little things like that that stick with you. The furniture was packed and unpacked carefully, and they stayed until the final cupboard was in place. I definitely recommend AFS Removals to family and friends for such a stress free experience.

We booked a pack & Move with AFS Removals and I can't recommend them highly enough. From the very start, Ammar made the process straightforward and he was thorough, polite, and attentive during the initial survey, ensuring we had all the information we needed.
On the moving day, Riz was excellent. He kept us well-informed, checking in before and after the move and answering any questions we had along the way. His communication was reassuring and made the process feel seamless.
Andy, Hassan, Nick and Yakoob were absolutely fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and they worked efficiently while treating both properties with great care and respect.
