We had Aidan Dockery Photography shoot our wedding and we were extremely disappointed in our photos and Aidan’s lack of professionalism.

The gallery we received looks absolutely nothing like the work in his portfolio in terms of composition, quality or care. Our photos are badly lit, amateur and terribly framed. A lot of them are off centre. Some of them are blurry. A number of them have been taken at weird angles. They don’t look like they have been taken by a professional photographer at all.

Ultimately the majority of our photos are unusable and we are embarrassed to show them to our family and friends.

Our only saving grace is that our guests thankfully took a few photos and when we compared these side by side, their iPhone photos turned out much better than Aidan's. We're also thankful that we had a registry wedding a week before our 'real' one which was shot by an absolutely fantastic photographer - Jade Greenbrooke. We are over the moon with the gallery she shared and have a number of her shots around our home now. As we hired two photographers a week or so apart we were able to easily compare them directly - Jade’s incredible photography skills blew Aidan out of the water and showed us what a professional photographer is actually meant to be like.

Overall me and my husband are both absolutely heartbroken that we’ll never have any good photos of our beach wedding. I would really hate for another couple to experience the same heartbreak - hence this review. Your photos are so precious, and are all that are left after your big day is over. Make sure you choose someone trustworthy to capture yours.

Ultimately, even though we were left having paid Aidan in full and not receiving even satisfactory photos of our wedding, the thing we’re most disappointed about is how Aidan dealt with this issue.

We approached him explaining we were upset, but he was quite rude and dismissive to us and acted as if we were the problem instead of the sub par photography. He did not offer to re-edit or help in any way - just offered us another photo shoot, which of course we didn’t want. He has also contacted every single website we have left reviews on and has either had our reviews removed or attempted to, by telling the companies we weren’t his clients. This is extremely worrying as other couples now aren’t aware of what could happen on the biggest day of their life, and also made us wonder about other reviews that may not have been visible to us at the time that we booked.

It's also worth noting that the version of the photos Aidan has uploaded on his website are vastly different to the ones we received - our gallery appeared to be largely unedited, while he has edited the ones that appear in the link he has shared.
