The packing service and the actual moving experience was quick and efficient; but if you take up the damage insurance, be sure you check everything within the seven day claim window.
As an elderly male, moving on my own, It was impossible for me to complete the considerable effort of unpacking everything within seven days, and I did eventually find significant damage to a valuable decorated mirror and the broken heads of two Welsh Lion carved bookends which were of sentimental family value,
I was distressed that despite my repeated requests to pack the mirror, and several other specifically identified vulnerable items with special care. they packed an obviously delicate mirror, decorated with artistic stained glass figures and surrounds, between two pieces of cardboard, and the two bookends in paper.
It would have taken very little stress or just a sharp knock to break the intricate stained glass mouldings and surroundings from the mirror, and that is exactly what clearly happened.
The immediate and bland response to my initial call for explanation and recourse was dismissed bluntly with "I'm sorry, it's too late to claim now, you should have made a claim last week". When I pressed the matter again later with another staff member, my claim being based on their negligence rather than an accident, I was finally gifted a "good will" payment of £40 which, as I explained at the time, just covered the cost of transport for specialised repair.
I will be unlikely to move again, but next time I won't waste money on transport insurance.

We chose to use the box supply option provided of which, the quantity was accurately quoted and by the knowledgeable estimator Mark who visiting our home.
The load capacity required of vehicles over a 3 day move again was faultless.
Presentation, communication, accuracy, timing and transaction for us were all excellent and from office to face to face all helped place us at ease using this competent business.

Friendly, efficient team. Vans packed and unpacked quickly yet with care, despite the rain. Nothing damaged or re-assembled incorrectly.

Overall we were not totally satisfied with the service. The teams appeared understaffed compared with other companies that we have used in the past (one person to pack the whole house). They had to call in extra staff to complete the job on time. They did not fulfil the promises on protective covers that were made at the estimating visit.
On the loading day they failed to pack a wardrobe, and the entire bathroom, so had to be called back.
On the delivery, they started to unload at a much earlier time than had been requested as there was still work to be completed on the house. This caused inconvenience. They seemed in a hurry to finish and get off home rather than comply with the customers reasonable wishes.
On a positive note the teams worked hard, were prompt arriving, and there were few breakages.
We had paid for a premium service but, based on our experience of other removals companies, feel we could have got better value elsewhere.

We had a quote from Brittania movers which was quick and painless. Our moving date changed by 4 months and they were accommodating and happy to help.
The lorry and team arrived on time, all items removed quickly and efficiently .
They waited near our new house until we arrived with the keys, then it was all systems go!
They worked extremely hard.
They were friendly, respectful of us and our new property.
I have no reservations about recommending them to anyone.

I cannot praise highly the two chaps who helped me move very polite and nothing as too much trouble .they worked really well on one of the hottest days in august and my move to a first floor flat and unable to use the lift was not an easy task .so a good job all round

Courteous, able to deal with all the unexpected twists and turns in a move, wrapped up and removed evrything very efficiently. Excellent in short and we would recommend.

Wonderful service from Alan Cook removals which made a potentially traumatic move for my 90 year old mother easy.
Craig and partner (sorry forgotten name) arrived on time, had the house packed and loaded in less than 4 hours. The lads were polite and friendly and incredibly efficient.
We were kept informed while her belongings were in storage for a couple of days and while they were being brought from Norfolk to Cornwall.
Unloading was completed within 2 hours by Craig and Sam who were brilliant, careful with the items and placing exactly where we wanted them while being friendly and pleasant at the end of what must have been a long day for them both.
The items were packed with care, not a single item was damaged during the move.
Altogether a fantastic service which I cannot praise highly enough, and would not hesitate to recommend

Britannia Alan Cook provided a completely trouble free move of our furniture including a period of storage. The staff were efficient, friendly and polite. Nothing was damaged and nothing was lost.

Great experience on something that can be really stressful. We got a packing service two days before we moved and the guy that came was a packing machine! He didn’t stop from 8am to 4:30pm! He and all the guys that did the removals service were top notch. Friendly, hard working, careful with all of our possessions, as well as with moving about both the house we were leaving and the one we were moving into. Smooth process at packing and unloading. 100% recommend!

The men were very professional, willing to help and nothing was to much trouble!
Each man worked really hard, all seemed to know what their job was.
We are so pleased we chose Britannia not the cheapest and definitely not the most expensive.

Mark and Craig packed us up on a Friday, then returned on Monday with Scott to do the actual move. They worked long and hard to pack up two vans, then equally hard to unload everything at the new address. Throughout they remained cheerful, helpful and polite and we were impressed with their hard work and willingness to deal with steep, narrow stairs, very heavy items and a multitude of books! Very professional. I highly recommend them.

The movers were all courteous and professional but also had a friendly sense of humour. They made the stressful move from one house to the other very smooth and we were really pleased we chose them to do the job.
