Altra Shoes Laces are extremely poor…
Altra Shoes Laces are extremely poor quality and they keep coming off. I have 2 pairs of shoes both pairs have annoying laces that come off. For a shoe with potential they should invest on making some good quality laces.

Erhebliche Abnutzungserscheinungen (teils Löcher im Innenpolster, Verklebungen lösen sich) nach wenigen Monaten. Mein entsprechendes Review auf der Herstellerseite hat man einfach trotz Bilder, nicht veröffentlicht.
Eine Begründung dazu gab es nicht.
Habe mich sogar an den Kundensupport deswegen gewandt, der sei aber nicht für die Veröffentlichung von Reviews zuständig…
Bei kleinstem Kontakt mit Feuchtigkeit erlischt die Garantie des Schuhs

Da ich angegeben habe nicht ausschließen zu können dass die Schuhe in irgendeiner Weise nass geworden sind, schloss man eine Reklamation grundsätzlich aus.
Habe noch nie erlebt, dass ein Laufschuhhersteller sagt, seine Produkte seien nicht dazu gemacht auch nur den kleinsten Hauch von Feuchtigkeit auszuhalten. Das ist nicht nur frech, sondern grenzt an Betrug.

Delivery took 2 weeks to arrive. The website states delivers take 3-4 days max. The order was only processed after I complained after a week of no movement on my delivery. The reply to my complaint email was automated.
The shoes have now finally arrived and I agree with reviews on the FWD VIA 2 Woman that the tongue feels uncomfortable. I would like to return the shoes and have requested a return but no returns label has been sent to me. I have again emailed for a returns label to be sent to me and have been sent a automated reply.

Wide toe box, low profile, minimal cushioning but alas, they are just becoming another sheep following all the other brands into skyscraper soles with ridiculous stack height. The unnecessary need to innovate every time they release a shoe, instead of have frame work, a base to build off they go and reinvent the whole shoe, again and again ruining the whole dynamic of the previous shoe and not for the better.
Poor customer service and lack of vision and relatable connection with their customer base.
It is very sad to see a once standalone company bucking the trend, to end up following the people they left behind in the first place!

Awful! It takes them 10 to 14 days to get your shoes to them and more than 16 days to receive a return! Still waiting for my credit after this awful ordeal. Customer service doesn’t provide help assistance or even an apology, they just quote policy and tell you that it’s “normal”. The shoe might be okay just don’t order from altrarunning.com.
Awful customer service
Awful customer service. They just don’t reply. I I’ve been told that I’ve got to pay customs import fees of £65 so UPS are holding my parcel. I’ve paid for trainers that I haven’t got and the Customer Services are not replying to me, it’s been 4 weeks. AVOID
Helpful customer service (Europe)
I ordered and returned a pair of shoes online. Although the shoes weren't the right fit (slightly narrower than the pair of Altra Lone Peaks I already own and love), the customer service I received was excellent in comparison to other online shoe purchases made online.
Their European Distributor (FiloBlu) helped me with my return. When I messed it up online, they sorted by email and got me the paperwork I needed to return free of charge via UPS.
Timp 5 Gore-Tex Man
In October 2025 I bought Timp 5 Gore-Tex Man and they literally only lasted 3 months before they started to split at the sides which made them useless.
For the very expensive price I would have expected them to last a lot longer.

If it could get 0 it would. I love Altra running shoes but would absolutely never purchase form them directly ever again. I am also no considering whether I purchase from them again anyway as I don't wish to support such a company. I cancelled my order within 24 hours, but their supply chain meant I had to let them ship the order after that and await arrival to decline the order at the door, they confirmed this occurred. Thus ending my contract with them, however, they still have not issued a refund and haven't responded to my emails to pursue this. I am now going to have to report them and contact my bank to retrieve this money. An order cancellation is a legal obligation and should not incur such time investment from a customer.

Finger weg ! Mir wurde eine Rückgabe verweigert weil der Originalkarton leider nicht mehr da war kurz nach Weihnachten ! Schuhe ungetragen mit Etikett .Über einen paypal Konflikt dann Recht bekommen aber nun muss ich die Schuhe auf eigene Kosten nach Italien schicken für ca 15 Euro !

I haven't had any problems with my order. I do understand that people would encounter issues returning them especially since their european distribution (filoblu) is in Italy and it wouldnt be like amazon for convenience (but amazon are far too big so give other e commerce a chance!) and comms would be fragmented! I get paying for delivery would cost a-lot which isn't fair since shoes need to fit fortunately I am loyal to the brand and i knew my fit having purchased two pairs of these last time for running at events and training. The items arrived in a nice solid cardboard box and sealed with filoblu (the distributors for high end brands assos etc) tape. I feel bad people have had poor Altra “experience” (one of their trainers is called this 😀 but I am pleased. Tracked by UPS so I knew where my box was france…uk…to the land of the geordies. Pleased. Still doesnt hide the fact average scores is less than 2 oof!

Le concept était intéressant. Altra semblait être une référence en chaussures de running, avec une wide toe box et un zéro drop sur une grande partie de leurs modèles. Dommage que la qualité ne suive pas : dès la première sortie avec la paire, j’ai déjà rencontré des soucis avec la semelle interne. Le service client n’a été d’aucune aide, et le transporteur est tellement lent que j’ai finalement décidé de garder la paire plutôt que de me lancer dans des retours interminables (UPS, c’est zéro). Dommage, car la chaussure était vraiment confortable.
Cambios y devoluciones imposibles.
He solicitado un cambio de talla y no consigo que me envíen la etiqueta de devolución. También estoy esperando que me respondan para hacer una devolución de un pedido que no aparece en mi perfil. No recibo respuesta por parte de atención al cliente por ninguno de los dos motivos. No volveré a comprar en esta empresa.

Nous vous informons que nous avons reçu une réponse du fournisseur concernant la demande de garantie. Malheureusement, il indique que le défaut décrit n'est pas couvert par la garantie pour la raison suivante :
Le frottement que vous indiquez est tout à fait normal, puisqu'il s'agit d'un problème d'adaptabilité des chaussures aux pieds. Selon la pointure, elles peuvent être plus ou moins serrées, mais le défaut décrit est le résultat du frottement du produit contre un élément extérieur, en l'occurrence votre pied, donc nous ne pouvons pas le considérer comme un défaut de fabrication.
Nous sommes désolés des désagréments occasionnés par cette situation.
