I recently ordered an expensive item

I recently ordered an expensive item. I had a notification saying handed to resident. This was neither handed to myself or my housemate. Customer services were useless saying check the bins outside. I’m not sure if they’re aware but bins are not residents. I then found ripped up Amazon packaging with my name and address on it in the street. I fail to understand why the driver said handed to resident when he clearly left it in the front garden for someone to steal and Amazon seem completely disinterested in this.

It’s disgusting that you buy a movie that’s rightfully yours, a few months later it gets deleted then a few years later it returns to prime & you have to purchase again

Mostly good but lately prime next day…

Mostly good but lately prime next day delivery can take 2 to 3 days. Think it misleading something you order on prime changes after checkout to 3 days later. After all people have to pay for prime. The tv and movies part is really good though.

dico una stella perché il dito medio non si può mettere... ho disdetto l'abbonamento a prime perchè visti i disservizi, prendevo sempre meno cose on line e pertanto il costo dell'abbonamento non valeva la pena di essere pagato. L'altro giorno ho deciso di acquistare 2 articoli pagando le spese di spedizione e fin qui tutto bene, oggi dopo 5 giorni sarebbe dovuto arrivare il pacco e invece sorpresa!!! arriverà forse entro il 30 marzo, cioè dopo almeno 10 giorni...
avete perso credito, meglio andare in un negozio fisico piuttosto che regalare soldi a voi...

Ich find neben der ständigen Werbung…

Ich find neben der ständigen Werbung auch die nicht deutsch sprechen Serien und Filme sehr nervig... ständig sind Filme oder Serien auf Spanisch oder Englisch und man kann bloß den Untertitel auf deutsch einstellen..das nervt mich tierisch

Way too many pay walls to watch movies and TV series

A very high number of movies and TV series sat behind a further pay wall (leaving not a lot actually free to watch) even after you pay for a subscription... and even with stuff that's been out for ages...good for deliveries, but had enough of needing to pay for movies and TV series on top of subscription and cancelled my prime membership because of that.

Amazon Prime Video: don't bother

Amazon Prime Video: don't bother.

The Prime app frequently restarts when used on the LG Smart TV, sometimes every few minutes. A message appears about needing to restart to free up space. The only (temporary) fix that I've found is to turn off the tv, unplug it, and then hold down the remote control power button and the tv's own power button for at least 30 seconds each. This usually fixes the problem for a couple of days (there might be one restart in that time). It's hardly ideal.

I've come across 100s, probably 1000s of people online complaining about this issue, going back years.

Amazon it seems couldn't give a damn.

Then there's such issues as the aspect ratio not displaying correctly on a series we're watching. It was okay for the first three episodes but now it's stretched badly as the black bars at the top and bottom have disappeared. I've checked and it's now the same on the three we have already watched. There's no way to manually correct it in the app and we can't even correct it on the TV itself because the option is greyed out (somebody idiot at Samsung clearly thought it was a good idea to allow streaming services to have control over this feature when they are in use)

Other issues include trailers playing for the wrong tv series or film, or playing in the wrong language. Often I've also come across descriptions of a film or tv series that was laughably incorrect (they must be using AI).

And then there's the subtitle issue. I paid for a French film that was supposed to have subtitles. The subtitles only appeared for about 1 and a half minutes - and before anyone had even spoken - and then they never came on again. I checked the reviews and found that at least two other people have complained about this as far back as 2024. I have tried it on two devices with the same problem. The issue is entirely with Amazon. I thought it would be a simple task to report this but no. I spent nearly TWO HOURS on chat with their supposed customer support staff being asked pointless and repetitive questions, being told that they were speaking with some mythical "tech engineers".

I was cut off three times and each time a new person supposedly reread the previous comments but it's like most of it clearly didn't sink in or they just didn't bother to read it properly.

My entire impression is of a customer service that has no interest in customers, their problems, or providing any kind of service beyond discouraging you from ever bothering them again.

This multinational corporation owned by one of the richest people on Earth would rather pay staff (probably crumbs) to fob customers off than do the slightest thing to actually fix real problems.

Don't bother with them.

Kill the terrible ads, Jeff! Or I’m leaving.

JEFF BEZ! Will you PLEASE stop putting your crappy ads for utterly unrelated clashing gout of place products, promoted in very bad, naff formats RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE one films that I just want to watch quietly and enjoy? When I watch serious cinema like ‘The Man In The High Castle’, I do NOT want the middle of a serious sequence RUINED by a stupid casino ad, ad for room fragrance or who knows what else? I’ve paid already for my Prime subscription and it’s very unfair to expect customers to PAY AGAIN just to be able to watch films in peace? Seriously considering stopping Prime now, put the ads in comedies or documentaries but NOT films or serial dramas, come on!

Dreadful service and over priced.

I have amazon prime for years.

However my experience over the past 6 months have been extremely disappointing.

Drivers listing my parcels as handed to resident before they even get out of the van, parcels left on my doorstep in the pouring down rain, parcels left at the wrong address and found missing left right and centre.

Contacting customer service is always hard work, because they are all listed as tracked and delivered - Amazon won't listen that you didn't receive it.

Also prices in Amazon are ridiculous, for example yesterday I search for a bag of play sand - on amaon these were £16, Argos sold the same bag for £5.

Ads every few minutes

I've just signed back up with Prime after a few months without it.
I signed up for the with adds and it's shocking.
There are much more adverts than there used to be and it feels like they're on every few minutes.
It totally spoils the programmes or movies.
I have netflix without ads and that is much better.
It's a marketing ploy to try and get people to pay for the without ads, but there is no way I'll be doing that.

SHOCKING SERVICE

CANNOT EVEN MAKE A COMPLAINT ABOUT A DRIVER WHO NEARLY KILLED ME AND MY DOG YESTERDAY. This is a terrible service,
If you can call it that. They want you to sign up before you can even search for the complaints page. This is a joke so I am now going to the police as we have the reg of the vehicle and his driving antics on several local cameras and will be reporting this maniac. It was not a one off; he regularly kills peoples chickens and tears over their lawns. I am NOT signing up for this over rated, greedy, overpriced joke of a company just to put in a complaint!!!!!
So Amazon.. you have been told.

Bombarded With Ads

Will not subscribe to Amazon.
Very poor experience.
Four sets of ads in a half hour programme.
Bullying viewers to pay for Ad-Free by bombarding the user with adverts which the majority appear to be promoting gambling.

Totally not worth it

Very expensive service loaded with tons of ads.
Will not continue with any sort of subscription.

Prime is getting worse all the time

Prime is getting worse all the time. I have orders delivered around four or five days per week. Lately it’s rarely next day despite saying so. This week something was due on Monday (I waited in all day for as it was a large item) not being delivered until Saturday, presupposing it actually is delivered. Something to be delivered yesterday was supposed to be here today but isn’t. I wonder if it’s actually worth paying for. Amazon is so big they simply don’t care because they don’t have to.

what is the point of prime delivery when they use 5 different delivery companies?
ordered 10 parcels expecting a box from amazon not royal mail (3 different dates), evri, yodel, amazon.
jesus christ!!! UNLESS YOU SIT IN THE HOUSE ALL DAY EVERY DAY IT'S POINTLESS!!!!

Ads have ruined Prime tv

Since they have introduced ads, they have ruined the experience of watching Prime shows. I think its disgraceful that they not only charge us to be Prime members, but then they subject us to 3 muns of ads at the beginning and during programmes. Of course you can "upgrade" to stop seeing ads but that will just cost more. I walk out of the room when ads co e on and cone back in when the timer runs down ... Still is very annoying and I am actually thinking if giving up both TV and Prime!

A Tale Of Artificial Imbeciles and A Dire User Interface

First lets get one thing out of the way., unlike other users I don't have a problem with the delivery side of things but that's after over 20 years of using Amazon and straightening out any misunderstandings their delivery people might have. I order something and within 48 hours it arrives and I use their service for anything I need urgently.

The same can be said of the actual streaming of movies and TV. Once you get to watch something it streams fine with no hint of the wheel of death at their end. I can even live with the adverts and the inconsistency of sounds levels between shows.

The problem comes with actually getting to the point of choosing something. The user interface is dire to the point that they should be replacing whoever designed it and the interface they currently have. Its frustrating to the point undermining any enjoyment I might have.

Now I watch movies on a desktop as I find having keyboard and mouse control is far superior to a remote control when it comes to navigation but even so navigating the awful selection screens and finding what I want is nigh on impossible. The problems are many. The initial screen is far to busy, it uses an 'artificial imbecile' (whose simpleton ideas insult human intelligence), is far to concerned with selling pay options, is badly structured and lacking in the necessary information in an easily accessible immediate manner.

At the root of the problems are four factors : a flat menu structure (ie trying to fit everything one a single page), an excessive and seemingly obsessive use of AI (if you watched X you must like Y) when the average AI seems to have an IQ of less than 50, an excessive desire to rinse you of additional cash and probably worst of all because its trying to do far too much it offers no basis of familiarity for the user because the use of AI means its constantly evolving so will never look the same each time you look at it. As such you have little or no points of reference to find anything (and most people will have a good idea what they want to watch rather than be led by the nose by some half baked artificial imbecile).

As such the current interface needs to be scrapped and the flat design replaced with a 'drill down' system where people choose a category and are then presented with however many pages of watching options are in that category with related choices (eg TV and Movie series linked together in a rational order - currently movie series are not linked. Most importantly these options should change as little as possible so people know how to find things. As the interface currently is you can see things you would like to watch but unless you watch them there and then you might not be presented with them ever again and there is no differentiation between permanent items, free items, pay per view and purchase only, items that on on limited time release etc. it really is a horrid interface that cannot be relied upon and that's before you get into the primitive user configuration options, the need for a meaningful schedule for live shows, some sort of system of differentiating between what you've already watched and what you haven't (if you binge a category you will repeatedly be offered things you've already watched), a need for proper quality control (there are some absolutely amateurish movies offered up that do not deserve the description entertainment even if they are free) and most importantly of all leave it up to the viewer to choose what they want to watch without trying to force down their throat whatever the AI thinks they should watch!

Its bad enough to make me go back to Sky Movies (seriously).
