They DELETE google reviews if their not 5 stars.
The official company seems to be Superior Service & Design operating as "anchor roofing"
I have been fighting them for over a year now.
They Stiff their contractors. Still unpaid over a year later, and 3 other contractors have said the same thing.
More importantly you CANNOT give a 1 star review on google, they somehow take every single one down. They show 5 stars, because they pay to have bad reviews removed. Something less moral businesses are allowed to do unfortunately.
I worked for them, i spent my own money on travel, lodging, advertising, and worked hard to generate leads and sell roofs. The sales manager who was fired agrees i need to be paid, he himself missed out on 6 figures worth of work he never got paid for because the owner feels that if you want to leave or might leave he doesn't need to pay you for any of your previous work. (in this industry, it can take months or even a year to get paid when insurance is paying for the roofs you sell) So to the owner, who somehow believes this is his right, if you just don't pay them their cut you can keep the rest yourself.
The owner john sinkey is an absolute snake. the crew is good, but if you ever have an issue, the owner will fight you, and somehow not have consequences. This man finds a way out of any responsibility to his workers and his customers. ALSO BIG FYI, most of the good reviews, were for work performed by guys who no longer work for him. His 1099 guys, (his subcontractors where great) but he will spend any amount of energy to escape responsibility when things go wrong.
I cant even leave a google review up long enough to at least warn other sales guys that he stiffs people. He acts like a biker gang member, threatens your safety, your family, if he put half as much energy into doing the right thing maybe he could actually keep a sales manager or sales team.
His lawyer reached out to me, offered me a tiny fraction of what i was owed in commission. I have recordings of the owner trying to say i never worked for him, recordings of him saying well you weren't around anymore so that's what happens. and other various excuses on why he didn't need to pay out my commission.
His wife even tried to help me find a hotel room when i flew in to help work the bad hail storm. I was never going to stay permanently. But i spent thousands of dollars of my own money, with an agreed upon commission for selling roofs and in person lead generation for the other sales guys. I helped alot of people, and he doesn't feel like he needs to honor our agreement and pay me ANY commission because as he put it, i never worked for him. But he shook my hand when i arrived, his wife reached out to help with lodging choices, i was given a company shirt and hat that i still have, i have text chains with all of the sales guys there.
He changes his story all the time. But in the end he has done this to 3 other guys now. It's criminal. I wish the police took these things seriously, but to them everything is a "civil matter" even when its happening to multiple people.
Long story short, you cannot trust them to do the right thing. Find a trustworthy roofer. You might have a good experience, but your roof is a huge deal, if you have a problem, the owner wont take responsibility and will delete your google review. Find a roofer who will actually show up and fix things if there is a mistake.
PS (if you dont believe me, test it. leave a 1 star google review for anchor roofing and watch it disappear in a week or 2)
