The Lightning connector of one of the two cables literally snapped half-off in my hand during normal use during April 2026.

I immediately emailed Anode Global (which looks to be a one-man dropshipping kinda deal?) whose sole member of staff made it as difficult as possible to get any response.

They demanded a return, which I sent at my own expense. Then they demanded tracking details to prove I'd sent it back. Provided those, and since then have heard zilch.

Since then, the other cable has done exactly the same thing. Flimsy, not worth a few pennies, let alone the extortionate prices this fella's charging for substandard kit. Absolute waste of money.

Ordered a bundle, two cables, two flat adapters and two plugs

When it arrived the plugs felt very cheap but the cables were ok, until one of them wouldn’t work. Both ends are usb c and one end wouldn’t fit into the plug, phone or anything else compatible.

I emailed to be told to force it in. Obviously I wasn’t going to do that and damage my phone. Sent photos and video of trying to get it into the plug, for a response of the plug must be faulty.

Did a chargeback via my bank as over the course of two weeks emails went unanswered. Refunds weren’t offered which originally I didn’t even want, I just wanted a cable that worked. Steer clear as it all looks nice but is cheap

I'm writing this review as a warning to others.

This is the 3rd review I've had to pen because they keep reporting me.

Their products use the same images as found on the same items on Ali Express. You can buy direct from Ali Express at a fraction of the cost that Anode Global charge.

Their website is extremely vague, by design it seems, when detailing return information and you only get to learn how the process works when you email the email address they include under the returns page.

I was told to return the package to an address in California. The package was originally shipped from China to my address in the UK so to expect me to return it to California tracked/signed would be so expensive that it wouldn't have been worth it as it would have left very little difference from the £24 refund I was requesting. I could be forgiven for assuming that this is by design to put people off returning items.

Eventually I involved citizens advice and Trading Standards who assisted me in authoring a formal letter.

I was able to do this as my payment to Anode Global went into a personal UK bank account, not a business account.

There are no phone numbers or addresses on their website, or anywhere else, which is very telling of this type of operation.

I received an email refund notification that will take up to 10 days. Unsure why it takes so long in this day and age.

Check Ali Express before you order!

What a great charger! This absolutely smashes the Apple chargers out the park with their durability and how quick they charge. I also had great customer experience making the purchase of the product a breeze. One of them came damaged in transit so they gave me a replacement with no issues at all. Would recommend.

Bought 2 chargers, I received 2 orange but I wanted 1 black and 1 orange.

Anode customer service was super helpful, they sent me an orange one straight away without any bother or long wait times.

These chargers are great, can charge my phone now whilst I watch Netflix every night lol
