Eastern Canada 10 Day Tour
This was our third tour with APT and disappointed this time to have not had an APT rep at the airport to meet us. Unable to contact the Vancouver office via phone or WhatsApp and spending a long time wandering around to see if rep was there and asking Airport Information to put out a message, we gave up and joined a long queue for a taxi. APT rang us back whilst in the taxi to arrange a driver! However, we were told to get a receipt and it would be reimbursed by our tour guide, which it was.
That aside, the tour went very smoothly, staying in some wonderful Fairmont hotels in Toronto, Ottawa, Quebec and Montréal and a Marriott at Niagara Falls.
Our tour guide , Lezli, was kind, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. It was unfortunate that our driver did not speak much English so unable to form a rapport with him, unlike our other two tours.
A couple of Freedom of Choice activities offered were disappointing, but maybe there weren’t options to offer any better on this tour.
Overall we had a wonderful time. We were the only Brits with 21 Aussies but were made to feel welcome and included and made great friends.
We will have no hesitation in booking with APT again.

APT cancelled tour for more money
We had booked, with another couple, on the CROATIA & MONTENEGRO IN DEPTH
ZAGREB TO DUBROVNIK on board the luxury yacht, MV Lady Eleganza travelling Aug-September 2026.
All arrangements were finalised and made well ahead of time and everything had progressed smoothly…that was until APT advised us the tour for the booked dates, for which APT had taken all deposits, was unceremonious cancelled 😳❗️
Reason finally given was that APT had taken a “private” booking for that ship 🚢 and we were bumped ‼️😡
We, and our friends (along with our travel agent), will never travel with APT after this disgusting behaviour.

Had an amazing time
Had an amazing time, just a few things to make it perfect. For tours maybe offer two options one cultural and another more of an activity ie sea safari on jet skis or a quad bike trip for the more adventurous guests.

The Rhine Valley in APT Ostara…
Everything was perfect from beginning to end. The food, the people, the trips and the cabin I could go on.
Nothing was too much trouble and our cruise director Bernadetta was fabulous.
The weather misbehaved at times but the sun was out when it was needed.
Can't recommend APT Solara and Ostara enough

Thank you for your review and kind words about your Douro cruise. We understand it can feel a little far from the heart of Porto. River cruise vessels are required to dock at Vila Nova de Gaia, just across the river from the city centre, as this is the designated mooring area with the facilities and safety standards needed for larger ships. From here, it’s only a short transfer into Porto, so guests can enjoy the sights while we operate within the river’s navigation rules.

No body to meet us at Madrid air port on our arrival from Amsterdam.We waited 1 hour to no avail , causing us much stress and apprehension at the commencement of our holiday.

Fabulous boat, wonderfull holiday.
Fabulous boat, immaculately maintained, excellent ports of call, enthusiastic and informative Tour Director, plenty of food and drink, ( though served by less than enthusiastic staff, no eye contact, little rapport ). Overall, an exceptionally good trip. We would strongly recommend APT to anyone considering a small motor yacht cruise.,

Excellent value for money
Excellent itinery, our guide Roneil was brilliant and very informative and funny. Hotels were good, arrangements were clear, coach driver Randy was a very smooth driver. Five stars all round.

Great boats, crew n meals.

Just a couple problems re low rivers, but the amazing army type exercise performed by ALL the crew just amazing to see.

Nice cruise but not for night owls
Nice cruise but not for night owls. Bar closed 11pm. Bar on deck was closed throughout, except for last night, opened for a couple of hours. No drink service on deck. Had to go to bar downstairs. Staff were very helpful, and friendly. Cabin clean and well appointed.

It was well organised
It was well organised. Hectic schedule and early starts which I would have liked to have been made aware of prior to the trip. It was my first guided tour so didn't know what to expect but having lived ou of a suitcase for two weeks I would have organised myself a bit differently had I known. However, it hasn't put me off another tour as the destinations were amazing.

Extremely Happy with our cruise up the…
I was very happy with our cruise up the coast of Croatia! The cabin accommodations were excellent! The onboard staff was very friendly and helpful..... We really enjoyed with itinerary.... The swim stops were lots of fun and refreshing on our very hot journey. Our Program Director, was attentive, being very sure everyone was doing well and enjoying the cruise and stops. We was also very caring.....and fun! The meal plans were great, offering many choices.
My only complaint was that one of the passengers got onboard and was sick......that caused many of us to also get sick (spoiling part of our trip) and even got the Program Director sick although she did her best to hide it and she was great to forge through and still do an amazing job! The food was very good, but did lack a certain amount of seasoning.....to my taste..... Drinks and wine was plentiful and very much enjoyed. I think APT did a GREAT JOB and we really enjoyed our journey!!! Great kudos to Anna our Cruise Director.

We were on an APT holiday, but to be honest it seemed more like an APT Travelmarvel holiday. No Speciality dining, APT rep in Lisbon a waste of time, didn’t actually interact much with any of the guests. He arranged a meal at a local restaurant, mediocre at best. Douro staff lovely, rep. did well as it was her first week. Chaotic check-in at hotel in Madrid, APT not there to meet coaches. Been with APT 6 times, but this was the least organised and special holiday, definitely a Travelmarvel ship. Like some aspects, but not to usual APT standard.

The food was not as good as in previous trips.
There was a lack of scenic cruising. Tooo long docked at several places. Not the right balance between excursions and scenic cruising.Parallel parking with a bank or another ship either side.
