A great art class for everyone
My little one joined Saturday classes few months ago. She is loving them and looks forward to go every single week. She is happy with the work she is doing there and staff are very engaging with the children too.
The makeup classes are also a plus, it really helps. If it wasn’t for the distance, I’d love to book the holiday workshops.

Our son attended art-K for several years. The staff were absolutely amazing!

Art-k Greenwich - mixed feelings
I used Art-k Greenwich for my daughter's birthday party. The kids had lot of fun and the art activities were very nice. However, the staff person who was supposed to do the party didn't show up and was replaced by another member at short notice. I was made aware of this only when I arrived at Art-k with my daughter on the day of the party. The new staff member who hosted the party was clearly frustrated and was not even familiar with the studio in Greenwich. She was quite cold throughout the session with rarely a smile to the kids. Luckily the kids were more focused on their art project and didn't bother too much.
It's an expensive party and would have appreciated a more welcoming atmosphere.

Thank you for taking the time to thank us for the party but also help us reflect on how we can improve. We're really sorry the art leader you'd spoken to in preparation for the big day fell ill that specific day. It's clear our new party leader missed forming that relationship with you in advance together with them lacking the confidence of knowing where everything is in an unfamiliar studio. As we got the news about the absence, we were committed to ensuring the party went ahead. On reflection we missed keeping you informed as events unfolded, and your review helps us see how we can improve if this happens again. We're glad the kids enjoyed the art project and the party!
Teaches patience and skills
We love Art K, because they give real techniques to the kids to produce attractive artwork while still stimulating their creativity. Kids have to stay at their tables and raise their hands to talk, but as a result, the atmosphere is very calming and a good space for learning. This is a place where kids who might struggle to focus on activities may learn to do so, while doing something exciting, so a great skill building experience beside the undeniable art skills they pick up. Kids learn to see a project through many sessions, which encourages patience and taking a step back on their work as they might see it in a different light each time. Art K go through many milestones in a clever way, for example my daughter explored background and foreground without realising it, through creating a wonderful 3D christmas card. I definitely recommend to anyone who is serious about giving skills and confidence to their kids.

Highly recommended classes!
My son has been doing Art-K for several years and has got so much out of it. The students work on one project across a term or sometimes longer and end up with work that is very professional-looking at the end. A highlight was having his papier-mache cat face displayed at a proper art exhibition organised by Art-K in Peckham. But he has also created oil paintings, clay models, watercolours and a whole lot more. Shahnaze and the team at Art-K Greenwich are amazing with the students and teach them a huge range of techniques. My son also loved the social aspect of the classes. Highly recommend!

I was looking for the art class for my child. Searching on the google I found it. It had a trial class and was the best option for the try.My child liked it from the trial class. He enjoyed it.Teachers are helpful and supportive. He received a new membership batch for the doing best in the class and later another beautiful batch for doing the homework. That are the nice encouragement for the children to do their best.we are happy to have this’ Art k at Greenwich and hope my child may learn more and do best .

Brilliant art class in Greenwich
We have been with Art-k for the past four years and my child has been consistently happy and excited to attend each session. The staff are incredibly friendly, approachable, and supportive, creating a welcoming environment where creativity can flourish.
Over the years, their guidance has been invaluable, especially as they provided input into my child’s art scholarship portfolio. Their input was thoughtful and tailored, showcasing not only their expertise but also their genuine commitment to each student’s success.
I’d highly recommend Art-k to any parent looking to nurture their child’s artistic talents in a positive and inspiring setting.

Thank you for taking the time to write this thoughtful feedback about how you feel your child has benefited from our sessions!
We have really enjoyed getting to work with him over the past 4 years. He has been a joy to teach with his consistent focus and enthusiasm for his art projects and learning with us. Our favourite piece, being his Matisse inspired canvas and how much detail, patience and effort went in to creating it.
We were thrilled (yet not surprised) to hear back that he was rewarded his art scholarship! We look forward to continuing to work with him in his sessions with us and witnessing where his art journey leads him!

Attended the Friday afternoon adult sessions with Marianne. I really enjoyed attending and Marianne was a great teacher! Will definitely look into going again. Only thing I would say would sessions or term could be longer.

Additionally, thank you for your feedback about the length of the term. In the past, our terms were 12-13 weeks long rather than 6-7 weeks. We found on review, that this length of term made it difficult for some of our students to commit weekly and so we wanted to give the option of splitting the term in to 2 parts. This way our students have the option to commit to either 1 part or both parts of the term when booking so to make it feasible for everyone :).
We hope this information is helpful and look forward to seeing you again in the future!

After spending a couple of hundred on the lessons my child came home with 2 small paintings. I was told they would do clay if I signed up for 2+ days. It doesn’t cost nearly that to do 2 paintings and drawings and I feel conned that I was told to sign up for 2 days for the clay

Thank you for raising the question of who chooses the project to do at our workshops. Every workshop booking informs customers about the choices children can make at our holiday workshops. We encourage children to make their own choice as it's part of becoming an adult and knowing your own mind. They didn't choose your preferred project, but for our part, we follow and support the child as we cannot make a child pick a certain project.
They completed a fun art activity in a secure Ofsted environment for a couple of days, where we aided their learning & provided childcare. Childcare services that provide a safe, secure and empowering learning environment (with highly trained teachers) do cost more than the associated art materials that would be needed to do the project.
As the review is unverified we haven’t been able to identify your booking and cannot therefore reach out to you to learn the whole picture. If you’d like to reach out, you have the Branch Manager’s contact information to discuss your concerns.

I recently had the worse experience ever and I am writing this review so that other parents are aware and take proper precautions before they are caught in the same mental and emotional trauma.
They levied a false accusations against my husband and my daughter to social services without any evidence. This is sheer wickedness. Thank God we have been exonerated.
They will be held accountable for their actions.
BE WARNED.
Now I get a reply and instead of admittance of fault and offering of an apology, more LIES.
Bear this in mind, my daughter never disclose anything to your staff. My daughter made an innocent statement openly in class which was taken out of context and twisted by your staff and I absolutely trust my daughter.
Now if you say you are all trained adequately, why did your staff not carry out further investigation required. Even the social worker acknowledged how unprofessional you handled the case and how your staff was clueless of what she was required to do. My advice is to get all your staff trained adequately in Safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and avoid cover-ups.

Thank you for your review which helps highlight the company’s child safeguarding policies, which are published on our home page; and are in line with our OFSTED registration, and are our legal obligation to follow. All policies and procedures are approved by OFSTED and staff are internally trained by the ex-LADO (Local Authority Designated Officer) for Greenwich Council and the Safeguarding Coordinator for schools in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
Our part in the overall safeguarding process fits under social services – who make the decisions and follow ups, review referrals and using their knowledge, experience, resources and competency, handle such cases.
A disclosure was made to us by your child which was duly reported to LADO. How we handled this report has been reviewed with outside authorities including social services and NSPCC, and it was seen to be a compliant process that was correctly followed.
On reflection therefore, the company will be obliged to continue to follow national policy guidelines and trust that Social Services take conversations forward without prejudice and in a professional manner.
