I am a few weeks into an adult art class and have only positive things to say about it! Lukas is a great teacher who guides you with clear, step by step instruction, but he also lets you follow your own creative direction. All of the materials provided are ideal and the location is a nice, peaceful environment. The group size is perfect and it's a real pleasure to learn from and chat with like-minded aspiring artists too!

I’ve been attending an evening lesson for about a year now in the High Barnet branch. I sometimes think of it as an art class, sometimes as more of an art club.

The first few weeks were spent sketching and shading set tasks, which allowed the teacher to assess my level and offer guidance in basic skills. From then, I’ve pretty much had free rein to do what I want. Though, it’s useful to be provided inspiration and suggestions.

The teacher, Lukas, provides fantastic support and teaches me skills and gives tips when I try something outside of my experience. I greatly value his guidance. Class mates are friendly and supportive. Sessions are calm and quiet but not too formal. It’s the right balance for me, we are there to do our work but can chat too.

I have a busy job and two young kids, so for me it’s a good break once a week to talk with adults and relax. Though I also find it very stressful too when my picture is not going well.

The girls had a great day and would gladly go again.

My daughter loves going to Art-K. She gets amazing support and learns new techniques. Work completed at Art-K she uses as part of her Art GCSE portfolio, and so far has a predicted 8-9 grade!

We are delighted that our son feels happy and relaxed during the lessons. Nina is doing fantastic job - making everyone feel comfortable. Our 11 year old daughter loves going to Art K in High Barnet. Nina is a wonderful teacher and is fantastic with guiding the children. She makes the whole experience very enjoyable.

Nina made both my son and I feel very welcome from the beginning. My son loves art and these sessions have really helped amplify his love of paint, drawing, and visualising. He used to go to an arts and crafts type workshop with another company, but we felt he wasn't really gaining any skills from this, so we made the switch and we are really pleased that we did so! Nina always explains what has been happening in class at the end of every session so as a parent we feel included. My son looks forward to the lessons every week! There is a good variety of media that has been covered so far from painting skills, to drawing skills, hand eye coordination, copying, clay modelling etc! The small size of the classes makes it feel that each child is special and can get close attention from the teacher.
