Total mileage was much less than I anticipated at the start of my 3 year lease after 2 years. Contacted Arval when they emailed me at 24 months suggesting a reduction in the total from 24000 to 15000 miles. Processed the change quickly and efficiently saving me over £40 per month. Very happy !

Although I have had no complaints with the process of leasing which was seamless, I was disappointed that the same car I leased was now £40 a month cheaper before we have even made our initial payment and only had the car a week on the Select Car Website.

I have just finished a 4 year lease and the service was very good and customers services were very helpful. I was more than happy to lease my next car with Arval but even though my payments were always on time and the payments were taken out of my business account I was refused because Arval said I could not afford the payments. This is even though the next car was cheaper each month. I was invited to order my new car 5 months before the my lease finished. Arval were happy however to continue taking my payments for these last 5 months (that they felt I couldn't afford). My broker attempted to understand the reasoning from Arval but didn't get very far. My credit score is excellent and have had no issues with any of the finance companies I have approached following this and about to take delivery of my new car and about to order a second. So much for being a loyal and exemplary customer.

I have dealt with the company for almost 3 years and I am glad to have finished the lease early. They have got to be the worse company when it comes to car finance. They don’t return emails they don’t know their arms from their elbows. I have leased cars for 30 years and this is the worst I have ever known. Don’t go there you will be stressed to death with them.

Be careful when you come to the end of your lease. No contact to collect the car and then extra costs incurred. Customer service non existent as they basically hide behind Terms and Conditions. I suggest you read through every single word of your T&C's so you don't get caught out.

First time I've leased a car. I found Arval to reasonably priced and the vehicle was excellent. Their maintenance package was occasionally hit or miss with the garages they used but in the end I had no complaints. When it came time to renew I found them to be very expensive, so much so that I went with another company. Sorry Arval, but you priced yourself out of the market and lost this loyal customer!

Avoid. Just a money making scheme. Tried to fine me for missing spare key £450+. Even though they had the key, after reading these reviews ive noticed im not the first person theyve tried to scam. After chasing them up i was told they need to investigate. They dragged there feet. I investigated it myself. Eventually proving to them that they had both keys. They eventually emailed me apologising for the mix up.
Fast forward 2 weeks. Theyve sent me the same fine again and this time processed the payment with my company. Rang and complained. Told its to late as payment has been requested will have to wait a month for a refund.
Got to the end of the Lease agreement and then got stung for an additional payment, despite paying the early termination fee and paying for the car. Asked 4 times, if the costs quoted covered ALL costs and got no definitive answer, then got to see another payment come out of my account afterwards.
very disappointing when all it takes is clear answers to questions to avoid a situation.

Would never use this company again.
We currently have two brand new Ford Focus vehicles on lease with Arval. Both vehicles have a manufacturing fault. One has been with Ford for almost 2 months with no work carried out to repair the manufacture fault. The other is waiting to be booked in. However, we still are expected to pay the £500 a month lease fee for each vehicle, and no courtesy vehicle has been offered.
Ford have not touched the car in over 3 weeks and keep fobbing us off, so we are basically paying for two vehicles that are not fit for purpose. This is impacting our business financially and operationally.

Awful customer service. Trying to charge me for not giving the spare key back even though I have the footage on ring door bell, emailing asking where I can send proof and ignoring me but continuing to try and get payment? AVOID.

Took car for a pre-booked (by Arval) tyre replacement. Despite arriving exactly on time, foul mouthed receptionist (who clearly does not like Arval) told me it would be 3-4 hours before it could be looked at. Faced with waiting in a hell hole, miles from anywhere, with no toilets, seating or drinks facilities, listening to bad tempered receptionist swearing I took the car away and got the tyres fitted closer to home, at my own expense. Arval's response - absolutely NOTHING, can't get through by phone to anyone except bookings.

I was charged a “non‑collection” fee despite the fact that I was at home at the time. The driver called only 30 minutes before arrival while I was in a work meeting, so was not available to take the call, and later admitted he didn’t even ring the doorbell. Instead, he made a half‑hearted attempt at “knocking on the window” and left. Even when the car was collected on the second attempt, the new driver admitted the initial attempt was poor and the driver should had made a better attempt.
Arval has refused to overturn the charge, claiming this counts as a reasonable collection attempt. It absolutely does not. They provide inadequate notice, rely on poor collection practices, and then hold the customer responsible for their own failures.
The responses from the customer service team have been dismissive and unhelpful. Once they’ve taken your money, they simply don’t care. This has been one of the poorest customer service experiences I’ve encountered.

After weeks of lack of communication and lots of confusion from arval plates team, I raised a complaint with the complaints department who thoroughly investigated the issue. They agreed and decided to compensate me £150 for the inconvenience. Complaints team is great

Can’t seem to fault Arval, found a car on Autotrader they were selling, looked great, called them spoke to a very helpful chap who gave me all the details… a little disconcerting sending a very large sum of money for a car I hadn’t seen or driven but research told me they were trustworthy. Car delivered 209 miles for £25. In the absolute condition it was sold in, drives perfectly, all seems well. So can’t fault them. They offer a 14 day cooling off period so essentially a 14 day test drive.

After 5 good years leasing a vehicle we returned the vehicle in perfect condition only to receive a further bill for over £300 for repairs that have not been validated with any photo evidence, even after the 2 hour inspection made when collecting the vehicle.
Will not use this provider again as feel to vulnerable with the process.
