I told her everything I already knew and the only thing she could suggest is put water in the cat food really no one told me it was gonna cost $65. It said a five dollars and then they took that money out of my checking account and they refuse to give it back to me. Do not use these people. They’re awful.

BEWARE of negative billing. I used this service and paid the $5 service fee for a vet chat. Which I gladly paid at the time. Buried deep in the small print is a monthly membership fee of $90. They use the "sense of urgency" of pet owners calling about health concerns about their pets-- to ensure people don't have the time to read volumes of small print. I don't even remember creating an account or setting up a password, but after figuring out how to log into an "Account" I managed to cancel the membership-- after they got $180 from me.

Service: The advice I got was, nothing more than what I had googled online. I had a vet appointment scheduled and was hoping to get advice on whether my dog's issue was EMERGENCY VET (NOW) OR REGULAR VET (2 DAYS).

If you think you are using this service one-time, be aware that you are agreeing to an ongoing $90 monthly charge.

No one should ever contact this company. They promote a very inexpensive charge for a visit/consult with a Vet. There was no discussion of ongoing charges of $65 every month. I had to open a Dispute file with my Credit card company to reverse these payments. I had no idea I was paying for this service as it was not discussed at the appointment with the Vet. They took my Credit card information to pay the fee for he first visit. They are a SCAM and no one should ever schedule a visit with them unless you want them to take $65/month out of your credit card for absolutely nothing.

Askavetonline is the worst I ever experienced,
5 months ago I called them with a question about my kitty, I paid 5 dollars, my kitty passed away the next day and Askavetonline is taking already 5 months 65 dollers a month for that one question I had, wich I paid 5 dollars for .
I have no prescription, i cannot contact them and they keep stealing my money, I have no other explanation for this .
It’s now 325 dollars for one question + the original 5 dollar.

First they said to pay ONLY $5 dollars, then they give you an answer about the topic, but what they don't tell you is that will be charging you $28 MONTHLY...I tried to cancel whatever I had with them and when you try to do it, no phone, email is available and thru their chat they give you the option to PAY AGAIN $5 to talk apparently to someone. Seriously?

I have spent almost 2 hours online and by phone trying to cancel my subscription. I refuse to pay a $5 fee to just get to speak to someone either online or by phone.

do not ask a question or if you do do not use a credit card or bank account they will charge you every month for subscription .these are mf s ripping people off

I wish I could give a lesser star. They are scammers. I got a charge and so I disputed it with my bank, got a new card and thought I was done with it. No! They somehow got my new card information, charged me again but through a different name justanswer.com! They have no right to still be in business as they take advantage of people who need help.

Please never ever use this company. I asked one question and just realsied i have been billed for £25 everyobne month ober more than 6 months now... never got an email saying i was paying for this, never got regular emails from them.... this is purely a SCAM. If someone know how to report companies like this please do... Sad taking advantage of people trying to help their pets... SHAME ON YOU

This company took my card used for payment one time and used it to abuse me financial by raping me financially and taking money without my consent ever month since using the one time service. I have to report my card stolen because there is no one to contact to resolve the issue. This is financial rape. They are financial rapist.

All I did was ask one question and for 4 months, $33.00 was deducted from my bank account by AskAVet.

Used this service is January and have been fighting for 6-7 months to get it cancelled. They forgot to mention that when you use this service initially that they’ll keep charging you (mine was 35$ a month) even when you don’t use the service. Have to get the runaround to find out how to cancel and you don’t get the money back unless you dispute with a bank. waste of time and money, use something like chewy which is free to talk to a vet if you have an account.

Was charged $5 upfront and then told someone would text me. It was a lengthy wait and I was notified services were very busy and they would get to me when they could. At that point, I said the services were no longer needed as I had found an ER vet, which was why I placed the call in the first place. Much later, a "vet" reached out to me and I again said I no longer needed their services as I had found a vet. Subsequently I noted a $65 charge on my credit card. I have notified my credit card company to dispute the charge.

I waited 4 hours on the phone only to be told to go to the vet. They said it would be $8 charged once to my credit card. That was accurate. What I didn't expect was $69 charged monthly!!! I called my credit card company to complain, and even the phone number they have to call the Askavetonline people wasn't accurate or useable. So now I have to wait for the credit card company to credit my account. DO NOT DO IT. AND DO NOT RISK CHARGING ON YOUR BANK ACCOUNT!!

Used this service in 4/2024. Excellent vet online. Didn't use it again but was charged monthly. I contacted JustAnswer, the parent company who I had also used for another online question and who kept billing monthly. I requested to cancel both and receive a refund as i had also requested the cancellations several months prior. They canceled theJust Answer account and gave me half the refund i requested. They didn't cancel the ask a vet account. Today I spent over an hour trying to close that account, finally talking with someone who found the account using the same info i had given to 4 other people, all who said the ask a vet account didn't exist. The last lady closed it easily. Ask a Vet is a good concept but they are ripoff artists.

They charged me $78 without my authorization and then wanted to chargw me again to dispute the charges

Advertise as £5 to chat with a vet during a trial period, then try to charge £27 from bank account, for those trying to cancel a subscription go to the contact us at the bottom of the page and you will see a link for cancel membership. The membership is actually with justanswer, do forgotten password with your email address, just dont use a regular password when your creating a new one. Bank has now cancelled my card to prevent them taking any further payments.

This is such a SCAM!!!!!!! Go to a vet. These people will answer your question, not tell you it's a membership and then charge you over and over and over. DO NOT USE!!!!!!

I was charged and never asked a question. They keep trying to charge my account over and over again. It's a SCAM people don't trust ask a vet online. They tell me to go to my account and cancel the membership and I don't even have an account so how is that. I had to block them from my bank because they continuously keep trying to charge my account SCAM SCAM

DO NOT USE! They have told me now 4 times that my subscription was canceled and they keep trying to charge my card. I paid the $5 to have a vet tell me I need to bring my cat to a vet...that was my stupidity to think I could get a real answer online, but I canceled the subscription and every week they try charging me $37. I chatted online with someone this evening who now sent me an email and states it's canceled. Let's see if that makes a difference.
