Atlas auto in Donnybrook and…

I went to Atlas auto in Donnybrook and asked if they had 2 front wiper blades for my car, they only had the small one on the passenger side so they charged me €30 for that, i was driving in Wexford later that day and I stopped in O’Connors garage in Ballycanew and I got the big one and he charged me €18, I feel I was taken advantage of by Atlas and I will never be back

One star is being generous

The one star is generous. Traumatic experience with them. Even with NCT evidence, they 'fixed' something that didn't needed doing while neglecting the main task. Charged hundreds, but worst of all, were extremely rude and yelled at me that it was my fault. Where else can customers feel that they are being exploited by garages such as Atlas Fonthill, exploiting their location close to the NCT test centre nearby? Trust is actually ZERO.

Attenzione, sono truffatori

Buongiorno, ho contattato lo studio di avvocati Atlas Law Expert(atlas-ju-italy.com), così si presentano nella pubblicità, vantandosi di recuperare il tuo denaro entro 14 giorni. Li ho contattati tramite la pubblicità e dopo 48 ore mi avevano detto che avevano trovato dove erano depositati i soldi che mi avevano truffato. Non voglio portarlo alla lunga, ma consiglio a chi ha bisogno perchè ha subito una truffa di non contattare queste persone, perchè sono piu' truffatori degli altri.
In effetti mi hanno truffato altre 8.500 euro. Quindi vi consiglio di stare alla larga. Attenzione se venite contattati da queste aziende, chiedete se vi fanno firmare il mandato(dicono che non serve) o fare una videochiamata, vi risponderanno che secondo la politica aziendale non possono effettuare videochiamate. Sono le stesse risposte avuto dai truffatori della prima truffa e dallo studio di avvocati. Faccio questa recensione solo per evitare che altri vengono truffati da questa gentaglia.

DLR Branch / Watch out for the upsell

I have amended a previous 1 star review. I had an exhaust / catalytic converter replacement in my VW. This was an upsell on their part - I actually went in for new coils originally and came out with a malfunctioning exhaust replacement.

They showed me that the flexi pipe was slightly loose and said that it needed to be replaced entirely. I asked if they could do a cut and weld job on it instead (keeping my authentic VW part in tact) as the rest of the manifold & catalytic converter were fine. They advised against this. Instead they installed a cheap exhaust and my car never ran the same again - really loud squealing sounds & massive loss of power. My new mechanic says a cut & weld would have worked fine, so I imagine this was an upsell on their part.

I returned a few a times and the issue was never resolved for me. However, after escalating to the central office / sales team, a full refund was issued which at the very least allows me to go and get the work done elsewhere without sticking my hand back in my pocket to fix the previous job.

On another note, the engine coil replacement was fine and they also stuck a new bulb in my rear brake light, which was appreciated.

Called with a flat tyre Tuesday 28/October/25 to Fonthill .The guy on reception could not have been less helpful. He sneered at me when I told him I was after driving from Kilcock. Never go near this lot again.

Rip off

Went to the Finglas garage as my suspensions squeak. Left the car a whole day, nothing was done at all as they were missing parts…
The man behind the desk mentioned a few things that needed changing (front breaks for squeaking suspensions??) but he could not print out the diagnostics and would email in 20 minutes and would call me the next Monday. Charged me 50€ for the diagnostics he did not give.
10days later, I have no email, no phone call. What did I pay for??

Avoid the Finglas branch at all costs.
It’s extremely rare I leave a bad review for any business, but it’s justified in this case. Went over with a tyre blow out as it happened nearby, they told me they had to change the two good continental winter tyres as they couldn’t simply replace one winter tyre (to be clear there was nothing wrong with the other tyre) I had only bought my car and wasn’t very knowledgeable on the different types of tyres so I said fair enough & I asked the man working at Atlas Finglas to put the good tyre they took off into the boot as there was nothing wrong with it and it was still very fit for use & he said that he would no problem. I paid for the 2 new tyres and wrongly took them at their word that the good tyre was put back in my boot. It was some time after when I noticed the other good tyre wasn’t returned to me and I contacted them and the supervisor phoned me back and said that the tyre fitter who done mine doesn’t work there anymore and he couldn’t confirm the quality of my tyre etc.. & they would have scraped the good continental tyre and that they’d been charged €5 to do so & as a “gesture of good will” would offer me €20 off a service (which I’ve never ever used them for a service only tyres) as I couldn’t tell him how many mm were on the tyre was it 3-7 mm etc. Simply not good enough I’m not the tyre expert and the staff member assured me he had returned the undamaged tyre to me (supposedly in my boot) no such thing lies. I wouldn’t recommend Atlas Finglas - especially to women as the supervisor who phoned me at the beginning seemed friendly then quickly turned rude & demeaning and basically laughed that I wanted some compensation in the form of € off my next tyres, which is very reasonable considering they took my perfectly undamaged tyre and didn’t return it to me leaving me out of pocket to buy a new one. Keep your €20 off a service and good luck the other bad reviews speak volumes. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere and would recommend Tyre land to everyone else instead never an issue with them unlike Atlas Finglas.

Highly recommend atlas blanchardstown Brought me car in for a full service on Monday ,very good service and dealt with dean very good guy and genuine and honest ,told me excatly what I needed done on my car ,looked after me well

Atlas Autoservice Baldoyle

Went for an interim service and they said it needs 2 new brake pads on the phone, went in to a 955e bill with brake discs added aswell, the car passed the nct 2 week's before with no issues. This is the second ava last time they have scammed me. Please do not use these con artists. Nct report was missing from the front seat and they riffled through the compartment and left all the papers on the front seat too.

Atlas Finglas is a robber

Visiting third time in Atlas Finglas. Service is good, but expensive.
Dropped car with a flat tyre yesterday morning, came back to collect the car and they changed the tyre to a new one (Aptany RP203 195/65 R15) and charged me 90€. It's a summer tyre and I told I was planning to get all season tyres whenever I'm changing and they said they don't have them. I found that brand/model selling for around 60€ in other shops. Maybe online vs shop price. Not sure. Whatever. They didn't even ring me and asked about Changing the tyre. Ofcourse the tyres were not perfect, but they were OK on the road. When I asked, I was told, they were too busy in the shop to call & inform/ask me. But it's my car, my tyres and I'd to pay for the new tyre. And he just made me pay that because they were busy?
Felt like, not giving any value to customers.
You guys can't do that to customers. Doing what need to be done / doing with the products you have in stock, without asking customers.
Also during the second visit to change the brake pads, they rang me (thank God they were not busy that day) and told me I need new discs as well. And gave me a long suggestion lists, saying all this need to be done. Took appointment in another garage and did a normal service, which was less money and asked them about all those suggestions and they said all of them are good for now.
My experience might be random, but sharing it here if it helps someone. Next time you visit Atlas Finglas, please tell them to confirm with you about the works, even if they are busy. That's the right thing to do.

Failure in their financial system led to bigger failure in their services.

My Amex credit card bill was charged 5 transaction for nearly £8000 in April for trips taken in January and last year. With no notification, communication and no invoices. If I had not been checking my CC balances my bank credit status would have been negatively impacted with costs for unauthorised overdraft.

I got it sorted, though with Amex, who did not exactly fill me with confidence of their adherence to regulations (section 75) and atlas poor comms it tool over 6 weeks to get sorted.
