I have been working with Austin Kemp for the past two years in my defended divorce case. They have done a very good job in making sure I was up to date with the latest development and issues and delivered high quality work and in line with my expectations.
My solicitor was Sara Armistead, who has done an excellent job in making sure I am well prepared for my case, which resulted in me getting the best outcome out of my final trial.

I thoroughly recommend Austin Kemp. I was made to feel safe .The whole process for my divorce was explained to me at each step of the way I was kept up to date with what was happening with my case. I had a difficult complicated case that’s caused a lot of stress but Austin Kemp sorted it all out in the end. Very understanding and caring . Would highly recommend them .

I was allocated Austin Kemp after paying for a consent order package online. I worked with Emma throughout the whole process who was informative and who dealt with any issues as they arose. I have no complaints at all, the consent and pension sharing order were approved in court within days of submission so clearly the documents were completed to the correct standard. My advice would be to read the terms and conditions carefully as you will incur additional charges along the way which are listed clearly in monthly invoices. I personally have struggled to understand why some emails were chargeable and some were not, but overall I have been happy with the service.

Austin Kemp have been very thorough and dealt with my divorce swiftly. The service I have received has been very good I would recommend them to others needing this type of service.

Terrible experience with this firm. I genuinely feel like they used Covid as an excuse to do as little work as possible, while billing as much as possible.
In 9 months they did nothing to advance my case, and were a nightmare to keep in touch with, either just not replying to emails or taking months to do so.
I have made an official complaint and they even charged me for reading and responding to that, despite the fact that I sacked them several months ago.
Will be escalating to the ombudsman.
It is worth noting that they go to a great deal of time and effort to get negative reviews removed also, so the overall rating on this site is not to be trusted.
Avoid.

EDIT - After Austin Kemp replied to this review below, they have now seen fit to send me a letter threatening Legal Action for defamation unless I take this down.
I stand by the review as an honest rating on my experience with this firm, which only keeps getting worse. I will not be intimidated into removing a negative review by threats. One can only wonder how many other negative reviews have been removed in this way?

I contacted Austin Kemp to handle my divorce, I have been very satisfied with the response by way of being easy to follow forms , very prompt service, clear billing and a generally a very positive experience that is helpful and professional . I am happy to recommend them to anyone seeking a solicitor for a family law matter.

Divorce can only be described as a incredibly confusing and frustrating journey. I think "Journey" is the appropriate word to use as it is a process, not a simple action. Austin Kemp were invaluable in helping me steer these uncharted waters and to that end i am incredibly grateful.

My advice to others who may be considering using their services and perhaps a fixed price divorce and consent package is to ensure you read the terms and conditions. Fixed price is only applicable in as far as to cover a "Standard" process. Any deviation from this including correspondence relating to non standard queries will result in additional costs. There is an element of reality to this in that the package is cheap, and even with the additional fees, the overall cost remains lower than what you would find from any competitor. I believe that as long as this is understood and you can work in a way to limit any deviation from the "standard", then you too will achieve a satisfactory and cost effective outcome.

I was reffered to Austin Kemp through a third party source & I was skeptical… tell a lie I was extremely Skeptical especially after reviews of how expensive they are.

After the intial waiting period I was contacted by Emma who needed standard information to allow my consent order to go through. She rang me intially free of charge to gather my intentions and offer the best support possible during the difficult divorce situation. She advised me potential cost & how long might take & reassured me that she we meet my needs with the greatest of care.

My ex-wife decided to be awkward during this time Emma was helpful & understanding as well as doing her best to advise on what to do as well allowing patience whilse the important decisions are being made.

Emma has gone above & beyond to meet my needs in the financial proceedings & have exceeded my lofty expectations I had. (These are not cheap solictors) honestly I cannot praise this person enough she’s been ace as has the whole firm. If you’re unsure call them! They will answer the phone & put your nerves/ questions at ease these are the truly best.

The proceedings are now at an end & I can only thank Austin Kemp for everything they’ve done throughout this difficult situation. They are not cheap but what solicitor is. You want resolution… You want help… You want the best… You want Austin Kemp.

I was referred by Wikivorce to Austin Kemp for a fixed-fee consent order. I completed Austin Kemp's client questionnaire and provided the information they requested. I received a reply asking me for fees in addition to the fixed fee agreed with and already paid to Wikivorce. I queried this but got only auto-replies for the next two months. Wikivorce intervened and transferred my case to another solicitor who completed the work for the agreed fixed fee.
I wanted to put my experience of Austin Kemp behind me but eleven months after failing to reply to my email, they contacted me to ask whether I still wanted their services. At that stage I wrote a one-star review of their service on TrustPilot. Austin Kemp's managing director immediately phoned me, told me I was defaming his firm and that he would take action. I removed my review for three days but I believe I have the right to report my experience so that others can make an informed decision about whose services to use.

Its been a hard year with the pandemic and its implications and I was starting to get frustrated but Austin Kemp have handled my divorce superbly given the circumstances. When I needed support towards the end of the process they provided it with a reassuring telephone call to explain the situation putting my mind at ease.

I was referred to Austin Kemp by a third party. Their service is inexpensive, their instruction is clear and easy to follow. The consent order was done fairly straightforward. The waiting time was a little long but then during lockdown every solicitor seems super busy so I have no complaints about it.

My ex and I managed to avoid the cost of legal representation and agreed a settlement between ourselves, but this needed to be written up properly into a consent order.
