Jared was so accommodating and flexible with the whole process. Made my wife and I life so so happy.

Buyers Beware, Before Doing Finance
EDITED RESPONSE TO THE BOTTOM REPLY:
Lela was actually the person who followed me on my socials twice and I accepted her, she was also the first to write to me on my socials asking me to leave a review for her, I still have the messages to prove this and screenshots if needed, And I was interested to ask Her, why these changes were made last minute Before I decided to leave a review, Which I thought was fair to ask After she had asked me to leave a review Several times, Which made me uncomfortable!!! Everything else stated is lies, no options for finance were given, I have no reason to lie I respect everybody but there is something truly fishy about this Dealership and you can see it in other Peoples reviews!
I recently purchased a vehicle from Auto Express in Limerick and felt compelled to share my experience to help future buyers. Unfortunately, I can only rate them 2 out of 5 stars. The vehicle I bought was listed for €14,995 online and on the windshield, with a monthly payment estimate of €261. After paying a €3,000 deposit to reduce my monthly payments, I was shocked to learn on the day of pickup that the monthly payment would be €426, well beyond my budget. This information was withheld from me until the last moment, a tactic I found highly unprofessional, especially considering that Lily, an acquaintance who worked there, failed to inform me in advance that her boss, Ger, would implement this significant change.
During the initial excitement of buying the car, which was the exact model I had been searching for with only 95,000 km on the clock, I felt pressured to accept the new terms. This experience left me feeling misled and trapped, as the excitement clouded my judgment and the lack of transparent communication added to my frustration.
The vehicle came with a three-month warranty, during which it had three issues. Auto Express resolved two of them, but the third issue was not covered under the warranty. While this was disappointing, I must commend Creg, who was very friendly and helpful throughout the process, a stark contrast to the rest of the staff.
My disappointment with Ger and Lily grew as I realized, just weeks later, that their actions seemed calculated to extract more money from me. This maneuver has left me in a financially uncomfortable situation, with a monthly payment significantly higher than I had budgeted for.
For those considering Auto Express, I strongly advise scrutinizing the finance details before committing and ensuring all promises are documented. Personally, I would not return to this dealership.
To resolve this situation, I am seeking assistance from a finance specialist and potentially a solicitor to address the discrepancies in my agreement. Overall, the customer service experience has been underwhelming, with staff displaying a lack of courtesy and helpfulness once the sale was completed. This stark change in attitude post-purchase is disappointing and unprofessional.
In conclusion, while the initial sales experience at Auto Express might seem positive, my subsequent dealings have been marred by hidden costs and unhelpful service. Future buyers should proceed with caution and ensure every detail is transparent and agreed upon in writing.

Disgraceful
Wouldn't recommend this shower of frauds to my worst enemy. Was under pressure for a car , limited time &budget.bought an 09 focus with relatively low mileage. 3 month gearbox and engine warranty. 10 weeks later, power dies in the car, engine malfunction light displays. Had it towed to Limerick that monday . Chief fraud Ger told me they wouldn't honour their own warranty as it was electrical. Kept the car for 4 full weeks with not one call or text or update the whole time despite me chasing up constantly. Fobbing me off with "we'll call you back & waiting on a part" bulls***. Ger didn't entertain the idea of a courtesy car after the second full week of them keeping my car. Got stroppy then when I mentioned a refund. I was initially told after week two that one of them had "worked their magic" and that I could collect the car that Monday. I rang them Monday to let them know I was en route after taking the day off work. Then told me that they "just found out" that the car wasn't ready all of a sudden. Had to wait two more weeks. Ger had the neck to charge me €300 for *fixing* the problem. Let me drive away home to Tipperary with it. . 4 days later 14/2/24 the car battery was completely drained and I was stranded with no car again after work. Ger sold me a complete heap of scrap, wouldn't honour his warranty , wouldn't ring you to tell me a single thing and accepted no fault only that he was sorry for the "confusion" , not for selling a car that was nowhere near fit for purpose. I wish I had done my research as the reviews for this kip are brutal and the word of mouth is just as bad. Spend more time making their embarrassing tiktoks than they do dealing with customer issues. Frauds of the highest order and have left me no choice but to get in contact with my solicitor for further advice .
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
This company is an absolute disgrace. I traded in a jeep and bought a 181 vauxhall corsa. 3 days later an engine light came on so I rang auto express to say I wanted to return the car but was going to get it checked out by a mechanic in mayo before I drove it back to limerick. It was a thermostat problem. I rang auto express straight back and asked them was it safe for me to drive the car back I was told if anything happened on the way down it would be my responsibility even though I only had the car 3 days and was under warranty. I initially dealt with conor who apparently is new and not allowed to make decisions. I eventually got to speak to the lovely ger and to say he was rude and ignorant would be an understatement. The manner in which he spoke was very unprofessional he was quite happy to throw his work colleague under the bus. I had taxed the car for a year and asked if that would be refunded along with my money and the money I paid the mechanic I was told to get the car put back into English registered which can't be done I was told to get my name taken off the log book so it wouldn't show any previous owner I rang the motor tax office who confirmed that that is fraud. The messages I have from ger are nasty he has a pure mouth on him and the lies I was told is unreal. I did not return the car as I am currently engaging a solicitor to follow up on auto express and see if they way they conduct business is even legal. PLEASE DO NOT ENGAGE WITH THIS SHODDY COMPANY. THE AFTER SALES POLICY STOPS ONCE YOU DRIVE THEIR DODGY VEHICLE'S OFF THE FORE COURT.

Ní thuigim conas a cheadaítear don chuideachta seo leanúint ar aghaidh ag feidhmiú.
Ba ghann-ráiteas é a rá gur gnó neamhiontaofa iad. Fiú ón gcéad chumarsáid, bhí rud éigin as oifig ach níor ghníomhaigh mé mar gur moladh dom iad.
D'iarr siad éarlais roimh ré don charr a bhí orm. Ansin chuir siad glaoch orm chun aird a tharraingt ar na fadhbanna a bhí ag tabhairt an ghluaisteáin isteach sa tír nuair nach raibh aon trácht air.
Bhí Audi réidh acu a dúirt siad agus bhí sé i riocht an-mhaith ar phraghas an-mhaith agus mar sin thug mé triail air. NACH raibh sé i riocht maith, lig dom é seo a insint duit.
Dúirt siad liom gurb é an t-aon rogha a bhí acu faoi láthair, dhiúltaigh mé agus d'iarr mé an éarlais ar ais a dúirt siad a thabharfaí ar ais dom go hiomlán in airgead tirim an lá ina dhiaidh sin.
Ach an lá ina dhiaidh sin chuir siad in iúl dom nach féidir leo an t-airgead a thabhairt ar ais dom in airgead tirim agus is fearr leo aistriú bainc.
Mar sin féin, táimid anseo níos mó ná mí ina dhiaidh sin, níl mo chuid airgid tugtha ar ais go fóill. Is cinnte go dtabharfaidh mé chun na cúirte iad mar atá déanta ag go leor daoine anseo is cosúil.
Took to court!
I bought a Passat in May and after 43 days the breaks went.
Autoxpress would sell you sand in a desert but washes his hands there...
I dealt with Ger for my whole complaint.
They did not want to know about it when i was stranded in Dublin on a Saturday evening with an undriveable car, after missing the kerry match I drove up for. He said this is ware and tear and my own fault and no apology from him..
( hardly after 43 days and my car parked up at home majority of the week while im at work)
I was lucky to find a kind mechanic in Dublin who stayed open past his normal hours cus he felt sorry for me as a young girl who would have been stuck in Dublin with no money hundreds of miles away from home.
While in the middle of changing my breaks (which took a while due to the amount of corrosion under the car,) the garage had to use heat to open a bolt at the risk this would snap and they would have been unable to source the part till the Monday. I said this to Ger and the Mechanic but they reckoned it was made up by the other garage. They also said what did i expect when I bought an 11 car, which they happily sold me! They shouldn't sell 2011 cars if they will just turn it back on the customer.
The email communication from Ger was beyond unprofessional. I asked to speak with the owner as he was not listening to me and this highly insulted Ger that i said he was not the owner so he stopped replying to me.
*I have all these email communications as proof if anybody has any doubts about my review, I would be happy to share these with anyone*
I had prearranged a date for my car to go up as a few days after i got it i noticed my thermostat was broken and an abs sensor was gone(this was a few days after i got the car, which ger also said a sensor is ware and tear , which it isnt...)
When i got to the garage, i asked another member of staff if Ger was the owner which he said no he definitely isnt..
To this day, i am still confused why it insulted Ger when he isn't the owner.
I asked Ger for my money back that I spent to get my car fixed which was 320 euro + i had to tip for staying on and aswell i missed the match which was more money wasted..
I was down about 420 euro as a result of this..
Ger offered to give me 150 euro back towards this as he said it wasnt their problem. I refused this offer obviously.
I only write this review now as I had to take Autoxpress to the small claims court to get my money back. From the way I was treated I would imagine this is something they regularly get away with so thats why I decided not to let it go and accept the 150. I got my money back this week through the court and this is the reason I am only writing the review now. If I could give 0 stars I would.
I would avoid buying from this garage as the aftersales is as good as a chocolate teapot!
All the good reviews on trust pilot came from them!
€250 and nothing to show!
We were approved for finance and put down a €250 reserve fee, but after a couple of weeks it turned out that the car wasn't even in the country. So we decided to try another car. Phoned and said we were driving up to try the car, but when we got there they were closing up. Still they got the car and we took for a test drive. Sounded like it was in a bad way to be honest but didn't want to be rude so we asked what else they had. They said they had an Audi coming in and would call us when it was in for test driving. No call back ever came so we went and bought a car elsewhere. Asked for our reservation fee back to be told it was a 30 day limit and then was non returnable, none of this was ever mentioned at the time we sent them the money. We have written twice and no reply so taking them to court. Don't get taken the same way we were.
Absolutely brilliant to deal with
Absolutely brilliant to deal with. Highly recommend.
Do NOT buy from these gangsters.
I bought a 2011 Citroen C4 Picasso from Auto Xpress in February, for just under 4 grand…(basically every penny I had). Instant problems with the car, broke down twice in the first few weeks, had to fight them to fix as the car was still in warranty. My car is now out of warranty since end of May, and it has broken down again, had to get it towed on the M7 motorway, electrics are malfunctioning, electric hand brake works…when it wants to. When I went back to them in tears over the car, Eddie the owner grunted and shrugged while he said the words “what do you expect for 3 grand” 😳 (he forgot I paid close to FOUR THOUSAND for the car). I nearly died, I couldn’t believe what I was actually hearing!! “WHAT DO YOU EXPECT?” Also a friend of mine bought a car from them a couple of years ago, and recently found out her car was previously written off in the UK!!! So, unless you’re spending BIG money on a “newer” car, don’t ever go to this dealership, they don’t give a toss about the cheaper older cars they sell off, four grand might not be much to them, but it was all I had and they were happy to smile and take it. ABSOLUTE GANGSTERS. I thought I was safe buying from a dealership, but I was screwed over badly, now I’m broke with a problematic car that’s not safe to drive. Thanks Auto Xpress.
