A great course highly recommend, Debra and Hanna were super friendly and very knowledgable, no question was considered dumb. Also a great level of effort is put into the group connection with a shared lunch and coffee mornings after to feel like you have a wonderful group of people all in the same boat that you can meet and chat to when baby has arrived.

Debra's Baby Matters classes were absolutely fantastic. Her and Hannah (the trained midwife who is part of all the sessions) are incredibly knowledgable, friendly, realistic, caring and non-judgemental. Between them they bring decades of medical experience to the sessions and a deep knowledge of the process of giving birth at the hospitals in the Frimley trust.

What was so fantastic about Debra's classes was the continuity of the facilitators. Unlike other national prenatal classes – you know who you're going to see at every session and they get to know you and your unique situation too. So you build up a lot of trust and feel comfortable to ask questions and share concerns.

Debra also takes great care in creating a community for new parents to meet other new parents. And this community extends far beyond the courses and into the postnatal period. On one Saturday session, Debra invited parents from a recent class who brought their babies and shared advice and wisdom from their recent experience of birth. We all brought a dish and had a lovely time socialising after the session.

She makes sure to book in meet ups after the course has finished so you're able to reconnect with the other new mums from your course.

We couldn’t recommend the Birth Matters course highly enough. The classes were really informative, relaxed, and sociable. Debra and Hanna (a midwife) are hugely experienced, caring and you could ask them anything. The classes covered all birth options and one approach was never ‘pushed’ over another - the pros and cons were discussed so you could make an informed decision.

The social activities and What’s App groups (set up by Debra) after the classes are finished were really appreciated. The social activities were also attended by Debra and Hanna so they are on hand to help with any last minute questions before or after the baby has arrived, which was so useful.

Attending Debra’s antenatal course was such a special time. When we booked we were simply hoping to be better prepared to become parents, and as well as learning lots about babies and birth, Debra really encourages a strong community of mums both within our group itself but also others, offering follow on courses such as baby massage as well as free workshops and meet ups. I really felt as though Debra cared about us and our journey to motherhood. Baby matters is so much more than just an antenatal course, it’s really special and continues far beyond baby’s arrival.

We had an amazing experience attending Debra’s antenatal class! The sessions were incredibly informative, well-structured, and delivered in a warm and supportive environment. Debra is knowledgeable, approachable, and made sure all our questions were answered thoroughly.
The classes covered everything from pregnancy and labor to newborn care, with plenty of practical demonstrations and hands-on activities. Learning breathing techniques, pain management options, and baby care skills gave us so much confidence as we prepare for parenthood.
Another highlight was meeting other expectant parents and sharing experiences—it really helped us feel more supported on this journey. Overall, this class was beyond helpful, and we would highly recommend it to any parents-to-be!

Debra's antenatal classes were fantastic - she packs in so much information, and also speaks honestly, from her own experience. She warmly welcomed us all into her home and established a fantastic social group that's been invaluable as we all get to grips with parenting. Support continues now we all have our babies, with a separate WhatsApp group for Babymatters alumni, and Debra's even shared details of trusted contacts in the baby world, which have helped with obstacles we've come up against, like sleep and reflux issues. Nothing really prepares you for the reality of becoming parents, but Debra came quite close!

Loved the Antenatal course with Debra, it was worth every penny learning all sorts and meeting friends for life, I would highly recommend doing it if wanting to meet other Mommy's and partners on the same journey as you and learn more about Baba's arrival making you feel a lot more confident :)

A safe space for mothers to be created by the lovely Debra - not only does she carry a wealth of knowledge but a warm spirit that gives all the reassurance you need as you face the biggest moment of your life. 100x better then any typical NCT class

Debra is a wonderful teacher on all antenatal matters - the classes are hugely informative and she provides with kindness and sensitivity given it can be a little overwhelming for first time parents sometimes. I met a wonderful group of friends through her class and she’s always at the end of the phone if I have a question, even with mine now being 18 months! Highly recommend

Practical advice, pragmatic approach to parenting, lots of useful information and the most important aspect for us is the network that we are part of. My partner and I took an antenatal class last year with Debra. Postpartum, we took a baby massage class and a first aid course. Debra is very knowledgeable with a wealth of experience and she somehow manages to keep it all fresh.
I would highly recommend all the above mentioned classes to any new parents.

Debra’s NCTy group is much more than an Nct group . it’s a community. It’s a prenatal and postnatal support that is priceless. I had two kids I’ve done and both private and NHS NCTs and I can guarantee that Baby matters is the best by far.. Debra‘s experience in this area is phenomenal providing always up-to-date information and also giving you access to her huge network of professionals. During the classes I met mums with who we built lifelong friendship.
Apart from the courses that they are amazing because they’re not just theoretical but also practical workshops that helps you memorise what you need to remember the day of birth
, Debra has also built an network of hundreds of moms that are available 24 seven and are happy to share tips. Their experiences provide help when needed and also donate stuff that they don’t need anymore. This is massively valuable and it’s offered for free.. imagine having an expert available 24 seven at no charge. Will have hundreds of experts that they’ve been through all the struggles and hassles that your mum has.
I cannot recommend enough, baby. I took the first aid classes the NCT classes. Baby massage will be the next. Thank you Debra for your massive contribution.

We really enjoyed our Antenatal classes and found lots of information very helpful. We then signed on to the baby massage class which my daughter thoroughly enjoyed and still does as I use alot of the techniques shown still after bath or before bed to relax her.

Love Debra! Wonderful person to have around during this important moment in life.

Debra’s antenatal course came recommended to me - and I can wholeheartedly second that recommendation!

The class was informative and non-judgemental, laying out all your options and giving you helpful tools to prepare your family for birth and what comes next. Debra places great emphasis on getting to know each other, which helps create a useful support network once babies have arrived.

Once completed, Debra also adds you to her large network of Mums, offering useful insight and support from a great community of local Mums. She also offers free meet ups, introducing Mums and their babies to local businesses to help with fitness, photography and all sorts of things.

It was much more than just an antenatal course and I would definitely recommend to anyone expecting a baby (first, third or otherwise!).

Debra's course was so much more than we had expected from antenatal classes. She covers all the essentials and so much more. There was a big focus on all the parents-to-be getting to know each other and building a great support system for when the babies arrive. She brought in guest speakers such as breastfeeding specialists and made sure we had access to everything we needed (including very nice White Company toiletries to pack in our hospital bags!).
After the babies have been born we are all included in a WhatsApp group with local mums and invited to weekly (free) cappuccino catch up sessions with more specialist speakers (sleep coaches, fitness experts etc), so the support continues for as long as we need it.
I would and have recommended this course to anyone looking for an informative and accessible antenatal course!

Debra cares and each parent with their baby matters to her. It’s an absolutely amazing experience for a first time mom and it has prepared me very well for motherhood.
Her classes are outstanding as she continuously develops those through feedback and personalizes the experience for each individual group. She also brings us moms & dads closer together as we are sharing more about our stories and have lunch together which formed an absolutely amazing connection after the classes where we mom’s independently meet weekly for walks. We also all did the Baby Massage together which was so nice and it created an amazing bond with my little one.
Besides this, we really appreciate the cost for value as if we have done more, we received a discount.

We thoroughly enjoyed Debra’s course and even though we were second time parents, we found her modern approach to pregnancy, Labour and postnatal life very forward thinking and refreshing and she was informed and supportive of all choices and decisions we as parents were thinking of making. Debra is really warm and welcomes you into her home which immediately puts you at ease. That’s a big reasons why we chose to continue with baby massage and her community of support still remains in place even 10 months later. I made some fantastic friends and would highly recommend this course to first second third … time parents

I have also attended her baby first aid course. I not only highly recommend but it is essential for all parents, and adds a layer of preparedness that is invaluable.

The friendship among the ladies in the antenatal group has blossomed into lasting friendships, and Debra's consistent support is a comforting resource for any questions or concerns.

The baby massage sessions provide more than just a skill – they offer a special bonding time for both parent and baby. Debra's thoughtful touch extends to a dedicated daddy session, a brilliant idea. My partner often does this after bath time before bed. Plus your baby in a bath robe is too cute!

We enjoyed Debra’s ante natal class so much that we also signed up for our second and third babies. The sessions are fun, informative and reassuring. Debra is incredibly knowledgeable and delivers the sessions in a way that makes you feel empowered about your labour experience and the start of your parenting journey. I also did her baby massage sessions for each of our babies. The classes were very relaxing and useful for helping baby to sleep and… digest their milk…! It was great to have methods for helping baby with indigestion and trapped wind, plus the discussions afterwards were lovely for meeting and bonding with other new parents. I would highly recommend Debra’s classes to anyone having a baby.
