We understand how frustrating it must have been to miss your mother's birthday due to the delayed delivery, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this caused.
We previously confirmed that your order was dispatched on the same day means 21 Mar, 24 Thursday at 22:44 to fulfill the next-day delivery service. We have already taken a steps to investigate the cause of the delay with the courier company RoyalMail to ensure similar situations don't happen again.
In addition, We have already initiated a goodwill gesture by processing a complimentary product worth £11 as promised in email, which is on its way to your delivery address.
We hope you'll consider giving us another chance in the future. We're confident we can deliver a positive experience. We value your business and continuously strive to improve our services.

Customer Service wins the day
When my duck feather mattress toppers arrived the packages smelled fousty. I opened one and the stench of mold and damp was unbearable. The packages stank out the room I left them in. I emailed 2 different addresses without response but since then I have been contacted, received postage paid for to return the defective items and assurance that the replacements will be perfect.
Edit: The replacements were perfect.
