Very disappointing experience

Very disappointing experience. I ordered beer glasses based on the product photos displayed on the webshop, but received a completely different, newer model. Only after I contacted customer service did they admit that the manufacturer had changed the glasses and that they had updated the product image on the website afterwards.

Instead of taking responsibility, they hid behind their terms and conditions. Ironically, the clause they referred to only applies to changes in beer bottle labels, not to beer glasses or changes in the design or shape of the glasses. Despite this, they insisted that I had to pay the return shipping costs, even though the delivered product did not match what was advertised.

After I explained the applicable consumer law regarding non-conforming goods and requested a proper resolution, all communication stopped. Multiple follow-up emails, including a formal notice of default, were simply ignored.

A webshop that displays inaccurate product images, refuses to take responsibility when the wrong product is delivered, and then ignores its customers does not deserve my trust. I have since escalated the matter to the Belgian Consumer Ombudsman. I will not be ordering from this company again.

Belgian Beer Factory and Belgian Beer Heaven are two separate companies, each with its own team, customer service, and operations. Although the names are similar, we do not handle each other's orders or customer cases.

Your order (ORDBBF75663) was placed with Belgian Beer Factory and therefore has no connection to Belgian Beer Heaven. We were not involved in your order or any subsequent communication in any way, and as a result, we were never given the opportunity to address your complaint or provide a solution.

For this reason, we are disappointed that this review has been posted on the profile of Belgian Beer Heaven. It does not reflect an experience with our company, but with a different business. We kindly ask you to remove this review and post it on the profile of Belgian Beer Factory instead, so that it appears under the correct company.

Expired beer and no refund

I made a big order from their shop with different beer types. Everything was good but the 2 bottles came to me expired. Upon contacting the customer support and expecting a quick resolution I was lectured on the brewing methodologies with an insinuation that I don't know what a beer should taste like. No refund was issued.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We regret that our communication came across in a way you did not appreciate.

The beer in question ('T Verzet Oud Bruin Oak Leaf) is a strong Flemish sour ale with a deliberately pronounced acidic and complex flavour profile that is characteristic of this traditional style.

This is confirmed by the brewer’s official description:

"Flavour: Strong presence of sourness and wine-like character of the basic beer. Complex blend of woody and green aromas. Very dry mouth feel rounds up the whole sensation."

The best-before date is printed on the neck of the bottle and marked 07/03/2034, confirming that the product is well within date. All products are checked prior to shipment.

Based on these facts, the product cannot be considered faulty or expired, and no refund applies.
