Frustrating Experience with Minimalist (Australia)

I was really excited to try Minimalist after seeing so many positive reviews, but my experience has been very disappointing. I placed an order over a month ago, and not only did it never arrive, but the refund process has also been a hassle. The communication has been slow and repetitive with no real resolution. They apologised and said that their order fulfilment is done via a 3rd party company. They escalated my order but still no update, that's when I requested a refund which they said will arrive in my account in 5-7 business days. It's past the given time and I'm still waiting for the refund.

It’s frustrating to see the company actively selling to the Australian market when they clearly have major issues with order fulfillment and customer service here. The excitement of trying new products quickly turned into stress and disappointment.

If you’re in Australia, I’d suggest thinking twice before ordering - you might end up waiting weeks for either your products or your refund. I hope Minimalist improves its logistics and transparency soon, because customers deserve better.

Inaccurate ingredient lists – disappointing response from an ingredient-focused brand

I was excited to try Minimalist because the brand positions itself around transparency and carefully curated ingredients. Unfortunately, I found that some of the ingredient lists on their website (e.g. Alpha Lipoic + Glycolic 07% Cleanser and Maleic Bond Repair Complex 05% Hair Mask) do not match what is printed on the product packaging. Several ingredients are present in the actual products but were missing from the online listings.

I raised this with customer support and even provided annotated comparisons. The issue was escalated to their R&D team, but months later I’ve had no resolution or meaningful update. By contrast, when I encountered a similar issue with Cult Beauty last year, they were mortified by the error, quickly refunded my purchase, and corrected their website.

It’s disappointing that a company built on ingredient curation hasn’t been more proactive in addressing this. The products may work fine for many, but if you rely on ingredient transparency due to allergies or sensitivities, please be cautious.

Only Template Responses from Customer Support – No Real Help

I made a UPI payment of ₹1,423 on June 28th through PhonePe, but no order was placed. I contacted Minimalist support multiple times, providing the UTR number and proof of payment.

Unfortunately, all I received were template responses asking me to wait or contact my bank, even though I had already done that and clearly explained the situation.

After 48+ hours, the amount was reversed automatically through UPI, but no meaningful support came from Minimalist’s side.

I love the brand and its products, but the customer service experience was disappointing. I hope future issues are handled with more care and that support teams actually read customer emails instead of copy-pasting replies.

Feedback shared in the hope that service improves.

🚨 Beware of Scams! 🚨
I recently purchased a skincare product from Minimalist's official website and soon after received a call from an unknown number claiming I won a gift. They tricked me into paying money, and it turned out to be a scam. This makes me feel like Minimalist might be sharing customer details or their data isn't secure. Please be careful and verify any offers directly from the official website. Do not share personal or payment details with unknown callers! Stay safe!

Order delayed, but products are amazing.

order delivery was delayed, so i'd suggest buying their products from amazon. Customer support was sub-par, late responses and unsatisfied assistance provided.
Nevertheless, the products are great and the brand is extremely transparent about them.

Ordered products worth 9k + They took…

Ordered products worth 9k + They took my money and Didn't even gave email confirmation, tracking ID or anything! When I contacted the website contact form, the staff sent me someone else's tracking ID! What kind of service is this????

Totally fraudulent.

They dont even have a customer support email or phone number. All they have is a form on website.
