Dont trust their cancellation department

Bestow was emailed a cancellation request in January 2026 as I was replacing the insurance coverage. Bestow responded days later via email they needed additional information to cancel the policy, my dob, policy number, last 4 of my social, etc. After sending that by email, they emailed me and said now I had to call them to cancel the policy. So Bestow is dealing with a credit card dispute and a department of insurance complaint for their deceptive cancellation policy. They tried to call me to cancel the policy the following month on a recorded line but refused to honor the prior months cancellation by email so they could try and keep the stolen money so I would accept the later cancellation charge. It is interesting they found the time to call the following month after the prior emails. I declined their late cancellation and told them to deal with the fraudulent charge issue along with the department of insurance complaint instead. They try to make you jump through hoops to keep you in their "gym membership billing program."

Do not go with Bestow

I’m livid with this company and I never write reviews. After years of contributing to a policy for my husband, they are cancelling my policy because I misspoke saying “I” filled out the policy form when I meant “we”, even though I clarified I misspoke. As a stay at home Mom, I would depend on this policy if anything happened to my husband, God forbid. When I spoke to John G at Bestow, he was rude, sighing loudly at everything I said. I told him a close relative passed away and he didn’t even acknowledge it with a response. It was also very hard to get ahold of someone there, it took 5 calls in a period of 24 hours. The customer service was good before we created the policy, now it’s subpar. Seems like this is just another greedy company only interested in their profits and care nothing for their customers.

Misleading lead believe all is approved

Went through full application which is not long about 10 minutes, and then get denied and they send email with attachment in the body of the email stating they provide reason in the attachment. There is no reason provided in the attachment states same reason as on website and provides numbers to reporting agencies so can get report. Misleading you should provide at least some type of reason is due to medication, surgery or mental illness instead of just stating not able to offer insurance due to something in application that does not tell me anything. After reading the negative reviews able to figure out why declined. They should be more open up front the criteria they are looking for with applicants to avoid unnecessary waste of time on applications

Affordable + Efficient = Happy Customer

The premiums were affordable, and the entire process was quick and efficient. I appreciate that it was all done online, without the need for an invasive medical exam, and without aggressive salespeople calling. Glad to now have my family covered by Bestow!

DO NOT GIVE INFO

I went in for a quote. Took like 10 minutes to give my entire personal history and personal information. I have NEVER had any medical issues and I am in 100% great health, yet they turned me down for “medical reasons”. It’s a scam to get your personal information to them send you emails, phone calls and text messages and probably to sell it to someone else. Save time and go with Gerber or Omaha.

VETERAN PTSD DISCRIMINATION!!

How does a company not offer life insurance to VETERANS BASICALLY? Veterans with PTSD are not a disease. Since when does it mean we aren’t eligible for life insurance. Because of the trauma we’ve seen in combat we aren’t eligible to get insurance. Somebody explain this to me. Not that I should have to explain what caused me to get PTSD WHILE PROTECTING MY COUNTRY! It doesn’t make me unhealthy enough for life insurance!!
