We believe that barefoot shoes are better for everyone – that’s why we want to get kids off on the right foot and start their barefoot journey as soon as possible. We make what’s known as ‘barefoot’ shoes, which provide a more natural fit and a thinner, more flexible sole so that feet can move and develop as they were meant to. Unlike others, our shoes aren’t just a mini-version of an adult range. School shoes
My son started reception in September, I followed the guidance on which size to buy and he's still wearing them. An entire school year and they still look good. The quality is amazing and all of his friends have had new shoes once or twice throughout the year.
I will be ordering his year 1 pair over the summer!

Great trainers and customer service
The suede trainers are our go to - we're on our second or third pair. They look great, are durable and most importantly are slightly wider than high street shop shoes.
The customer service is one of the best I have experienced - they listen to feedback and are keen to resolve any issues.

Very unimpressed with the quality
Very unimpressed with the quality of their shoes - lasted less than 6 months before the sole came completely detached from the main shoe. (They didn’t even get very heavy usage - my kids usually outgrow shoes)
They also died my son’s feet blue every time he wore them !
When I contacted their customer services they assured me this was usual wear and tear, and didn’t find it to be unusual or a fault with the shoe - so I will definitely not be buying from them again, to have a shoe last less than 6 months

Wonderful, flexible hard wearing shoes that have lasted the whole school year !
Thrilled to have found comfortable school shoes that don’t rub or give blisters, after going through far too many others from leading brands. These shoe are absolutely worth the price !

Sole peeled off on two pairs
Two pairs of my daughters shoes have fallen apart, the first time they replaced them, second time they are offering me 25% off to re buy the same faulty shoes. Disappointing! Didn’t even last 6 months till the sole started peeling off at the toe/ round the front. Not as good quality as they say.

Decided to take the plunge and go for it!
Bought my two little ones some new pairs of shoes. We've looked at barefoot shoes for a while- but couldn't justify it at the time. Looking back, 'buy it cheap- buy it twice!'. The mum guilt I felt when I had to take my little one to the Dr's. The skin had peeled off his toes and it was obvious what the culprit was (branded trainers!)
Anyway, we bought some new shoes from BGreater for next day delivery and had some minor issues with delivery. I reached out to them and received a quick response from Julie who had gone out of her way to resolve it (despite this being a courier issue- not a business one). Really appreciated it. Was all sorted in the end. Thank you very much. P.S. The boys loved their fit so much they wore them around the house for the next few hours!!

I bought the teddy bear shoes for my 20…
I bought the teddy bear shoes for my 20 month old and I’m really pleased with them. It has a wide toe box which means his toes have room to spread and don’t feel squashed inside. The sole bends nicely which helps with his balance and natural gait. They feel very well made and look comfortable. The team were so friendly and the delivery was efficient and quick. My order arrived with no issues. Overall they were great value and I’d happily buy from BGreater again.

Absolutely brilliant shoes
Absolutely brilliant shoes. My grandson ( age 6 in July ) says THEY ARE MORE COMFORTABLE THAN SOCKS & IF THEY DO BIG SIZES MUMMY & NANNIE SHOULD GET SOME. The service & help with quick replies to emails & next day delivery is fantastic. One of the best companies I have ever purchased from. I truly hope they keep producing these great shoes as they truly are the best yet. 100% happy

School shoes have been great
School shoes have been great, ordered next size up to have in stock. Also thought I would get my little one some everday trainers ... They were slippy, very tight and uncomfortable even though the same size as his school shoes. Made in China label on the bottom, felt I was getting something British made so be aware. And now, I have to PAY to return, even though their sizing is completely inconsistent, I am keeping one size 11 but sending another size 11 back ... Make it make sense! If I want to replace with another pair / style ... You've guessed it can't exchange have to pay postage again. That'll be 3x lots of postage. Got a customer service reply that just ignored my points raised.

Whilst our shoes share the same sizing system, different styles can fit differently depending on the fastening, materials, and intended use. We appreciate that this can be frustrating, particularly when one style fits well and another doesn't.
We're also sorry to hear that you were disappointed with our returns process and that you felt your concerns weren't fully addressed. We never want customers to feel unheard, and we'll be reviewing your feedback with the team. Most companies harge for returns, but some include it in the cost of the product. Went through so many different pairs of…
Went through so many different pairs of boots for my autistic daughter and she would take them all off but came across bgreater shoes bought a pair of boots on there and they have been a lifesaver she no longer takes them off and find them so comfortable to wear now have ordered trainers for her so hoping they will be just as comfortable so would highly recommend

just wanted to take the time to let you have some feedback on shoes we have bought our son. He’s 7 years old and has always had toes going over one another, we thought maybe these shoes could help so we bought two pairs one for school and one for home. He’s been wearing them since December and I can’t even believe the difference in his feet! You can now see his big toe as his other toes are not going over it and the shoes are incredible quality. They still look brand new!! School shoes are perfect. He says they are really comfortable. We are just about to buy a few more pairs, not because they are worn- simply because he wants a different style and I would like to buy the next size up in preparation! Thank you so much for providing decent quality shoes that are not stupidly priced! To see all his toes flat to the floor when he stands is just amazing

Great shoes! My son has the Henson school shoes. He loves them and says they're so comfortable. If you have any issues customer service are super responsive and quick to respond....even on bank holiday weekend! Thanks so much for making great kids shoes.

We are now on our 5th pair of BGreater…
We are now on our 5th pair of BGreater shoes and we cannot imaging putting our son’s feet in anything else. He loves the colours and styles and even after all of that when he has outgrown them, no matter what he has put them through, they clean up beautifully as they are so hard wearing so they can be donated to the children’s clothes bank and will make another little soul very happy just by wearing them. I have cleaned up three pairs today for donation and they look fabulous unlike the Startrites we used before. Excellent shoes, great styles and sustainable. Just great!

School shoes that actually last
In August 2025, I searched the web for hours, looking for school shoes for a child that much prefers to be running around barefoot (even outside!) and I should’ve known when the patent Marie shoes arrived and she tried them on and didn’t take them off … even at bedtime.. that they would be the ones. I was so amazed, I ordered the red ones the day after for none school days too!
Fast forward to May half term, the shoes are still going, still her most comfy that she never complains about, no patent has come away, they’re not scuffed. I’d be lying if I didn’t think I’d be popping out for new shoes part way through the year but I think it’s amazing that these shoes have nearly done a full school year and still look new!
Thank you to all the team at B Greater, these shoes are honestly a game changer!
I’ve waited until now to write an honest review as I didn’t want to write one and be proven wrong but my first impressions have lasted, good quality and well priced

Great shoes!! I have twins in reception and these shoes are still standing up to a rough curriculum! They have an outdoors based learning journey in our school so have survived climbing trees etc. I’ve recommended to many mums and see quite a few pairs now throughout the school. My second set of twins are in the trainers for preschool and already choosing their next pairs! Converted!

Robust, stylish shoes
My son has your school shoes and he loves them. They’re robust and easy for him to put on and do up. He’s been wearing them for 2 mths now and they still look great. Usually his trainers are wrecked by this time ! Really impressed.

Three pairs so far, plan to get more in future.
I have ordered my son’s third pair of BGreater shoes, he’s had 2 of the same school shoes (the ones I reordered) and a pair of the suede trainers (which I need to get in a bigger size next).
Not only are they robust, they are robust enough for my 6 year old autistic son, who sits on his knees a lot (shoes bent at the toes or all on the floor where they’d usually scuff), and he also runs to stim. The shoes have only needed replacing due to him needing a larger size. There are no signs of wear on the shoe besides the expected crease by his toes. The soles are not peeling and they’re not even particularly worn down. They also survive him shoving his feet in without undoing the velcro!
Please never change - I will keep coming back again and again!
I also wish they did adult sizes in the same discreet foot shaped shoe. Respectfully, I don’t want boat shoes. BGreater offer comfort as well as still looking like a ‘normal’ shoe. The price point is a huge added bonus, especially when they last as well as they do.

BGreater shoes are fantastic
BGreater shoes are fantastic! Every pair has been comfortable from day one.
We loved the Edison for the winter, and bought the Alden for spring.
My 20 month old can independently put them on, thanks to the thoughtful design features.
They are very lightweight and flexible, she seems very comfortable (and speedy) in them.
The reinforced toe and mesh fabric help keep her feet dry on dewy morning walks.
As an added bonus, they look adorable.
Just such a well-designed children’s shoe, we will certainly be coming back here when she outgrown these, even as high street brand start introducing barefoot options.
Even after months of daily walking, they look great. Some wear to the sole, as to be expected, but upper and Velcro are in great condition.
I wish they expanded their range to sandals and Wellies, too.

These school shoes didn’t last 6 months…
These school shoes didn’t last 6 months before both Velcro straps came apart. Sent images to customer services and they basically blamed my kid for wear and tear. Spoke to another parent who bought the same shoes and theirs didn’t last 6 months either with the same issue of the straps coming apart. Think it’s a known issue with the shoes that they try and pin back on the customer. Won’t be buying from them again.
