Had an excellent experience. I ordered 2 Conti tires and with prompt support from customer service, received an almost immediate refund for the difference ($25/tire) in cost from another bike sales (Performance) website. While that was expected, my shipment was also expedited (at my request) and the tires shipped the same. That was unexpected. All of this was handled by text through their contact number and, when I texted my thanks and appreciation, they responded with "we always try to work as a team". No disagreement here. It was really appreciated.

As an aside, I see that 1) many of these negative reviews are a year or more older and 2) when good things happen, few people take the time to write it down and say thanks. Put another way, many use the "review" as an opportunity to b****. So, I thought I'd take a minute to be kind.

I'm impressed

I'm impressed, the item was shipped within 2 hours of the order being placed. When I got it, yah, it seemed like someone had opened it before, but the item itself was in perfect condition and half the price it would have been on amazon. Very happy with my purchase

I recently purchased a pair of sidi shoes and paid immediately then I received a text saying they had a “mix up” and pictures show were not the correct ones and they asked if I wanted different pair of shoes that did not look anything like the ones I ordered. I demanded an immediate refund and it looks like I may get that . But overall not a satisfying experience. They need to get their S—- together

Recently ordered cycling shoes from…

Recently ordered cycling shoes from this website, and immediately after I ordered, I sent a text to their customer service line to ask if I could pay for expedited shipping--because I had a fit appointment scheduled for the weekend following the order. This was important due to the fact that I had dealt with knee/lower back/hip issues over the previous three years, and the Fizik shoes I purchased advertised that they set the cleat pattern more to the rear to alleviate the aformentioned issues. I was promptly advised that they were being shipped priority mail, with no further communication to that effect, and in todays shipping climate, that meant 2-3 days. Well, after 8 or 9 days, I threatened to cancel payment due to the tracking info still showing they were In California(I'm on the east coast), and such began a back and forth that ended in me doing exactly that, canceling the order through my bank. Shockingly the shoes ended up being delivered, with no changes in the tracking info, 2 days after my threat. Amazing really, but I had already ordered the shoes from Great Lakes Outpost, in Michigan, and received them the day after my original order. From Bike Closet the order date was 2/19, and I received them 3/2. I ordered the same thing from Great Lakes on 3/1, and received them 3/3. Clearly there is a difference in customer Satisfaction. I'm omitting a lot of dialogue to avoid this being a Gone With the Wind review, but I have all the text messages/correspondence to back my claims, and it illustrates their reticence to pay attention to the customer. The details that they seem to be immune to understanding is that my bike fitter owns a small shop, as they do, and missed out on making money for our fit appointment because, at this time, Covid restricts access to small enclosures, so for that hour and half that he had shut his store down, he made ZERO money. I missed out on my fit, and have had to reschedule, but I've been accused of stealing their inventory, and was condescendingly accused of not supporting small businesses, which my family owned one for twenty years. So, I will not be doing business with this "company" ever again, nor do I suggest any of you do, either, unless its for something relatively unimportant, or time is not an issue. When they respond, saying they can't be blamed for shipping delays, keep in mind I ordered shims from a company approximately 70 miles from their Bike Closet location; I received them 2/26, and I ordered them 2/23. shipping is not the issue.

P.S. the bike closet price for the shoes was $249.99+$10 for shipping
Great Lakes charged $349.99. I'm happy to pay the higher price for prompt customer service, and real tracking information.

Worth a little patience

Bought some Crank Bros pedals, great discounts and a generally smooth purchase process. Shipping might take a little while, but it's a tough time to try and rush shipping or complain too much when it's hard to get parts these days anyway. For the savings and everything, definitely a good move!

Slow and unorganized

Communication is horribly slow and only through text. Each response to a single text takes an entire day or more. I returned a helmet that was too large and they have taken over a week to refund and only got a partial refund. The helmet was never used, just tried on. All tags were still attached to the helmet.

Paid $17 for shipping and took over 2…

Paid $17 for shipping and took over 2 weeks to receive my order. I called and emailed and never got a reply. According to USPS, Bike Closet uses a 3rd party shipping company to save them money, or rather to take your money. Scoundrels!

Seem super unorganized

Seem super unorganized. Placed an order, status was pending for 6 days before I texted the online support number. Order got put out the next day. However, when I received the order it was missing 50% of the items (even though the packing slip had everything listed). Emailed customer service, after 6 days of no response I again texted the online support number. Have been told I should receive an updated tracking number for the missing item.

Price was good but they don't seem to have their business together.

Needed to File a Credit Card Chargeback

Horrible experience. Purchased a pair of Sidi shoes that I was told were in stock only to find out weeks later that this was not the case. After several run arounds with their "text message" approach to customer service I requested a refund. Heard nothing back and had to file a chargeback request through my credit card. Avoid at all costs.

Great Customer service, Great prices Great communication

Searching for a set of Tires I found this website Bikecloset.com I'm always like to double check every site before buy anything. I texted the number on the site and in less that 5 minutes I got a replay back, Their customer service answered all question i had, Finally I placed my order I got the tracking number THE SAME DAY and considering I am in the east coast it took 3 days to get it. Amazing Service and very happy with them I highly recommend it.

Exceptional customer service!

When searching for a new pair of Sidi cycling shoes, Bike Closet came up in my google search as having the lowest price for the model, color, and size I was looking for. I must admit, at first glance, the web site seemed sketchy, but digging around on some cycling forums, I found the common theme of good reviews. I decided to give Bike Closet a try and can report my extreme satisfaction. The shoes were exactly as described and shipping was amazingly fast. Thank you, Bike Closet! I will certainly be checking back in for my future cycling needs.
