I’m gonna do 4 because of communication issues.
When you pay almost £££ for a service you’d expect some nice clear information and deadlines/ times, unfortunately Bike Services failed the class on this occasion.

-Filled the form, put email-phone number infos of me and seller of the bike
- Paid
- Then couple days after no news, no sms , email
- Checked website and realised my order has been “completed”
-Panicked, send emails and then called the company, thankfully they assured me by saying
“ yes, we contacted the seller and we are going to collect it tomorrow and most likely you’ll receive the bike at this date, this time”
- this is great, as what you expect

But; what if you’d do some sort of automation to inform people about what is going on, via sms or email. Then I think everyone would know what is going on and what to expect.

Having no info/ communication created little bit of stress for me. Considering the amount we pay, compared to other companies, I think what I suggested is a very easy system to automate and can save yourself some time having to deal with emails/calls, and also can allow changes for customers. Collection and delivery times can be adjusted online very easily.

Thanks for the review. However, I've looked into this for you and I can see ALL of our email comms to you were unrouteable because you supplied us with an incorrect email address ending in gmail.con not .com.
Our records show we attempted to contact you 14 times.
We can only work with the information supplied to us therefore its imperative you double check it is correct before sending it to us.
I'm sorry you feel our comms were poor but there was nothing we could do on this occasion. We rely on automation as you point out due to the volume of orders and therefore we are unable to manually check every order for correct info

Meh.

Got an email the day before delivery letting me know it would be delivered the next day (obviously I was working). Icancelled that delivery and gave options of when I would be available and heard absolutely nothing, sent two further enquiries for an update and still nothing.
Woke up today to an email saying bike will be delivered today (one of the days I was available).
Delivery driver was great and very friendly.
Not a great experience when someone else has your very expensive bike and not communicating with you.

Thanks for your review. I've taken a look into this for you and I can see your delivery was booked with us on Jan 12. You were emailed on Jan 14 with the delivery planned for Jan 15. It's not obvious you were working, we don't know that, and we assume customers want their bikes ASAP. I can see you contacted us and we rescheduled the delivery for you and contacted you again later the same day. I accept you did send a couple more emails in and I sincerely apologise we didn't respond quick enough, however, you did look at the tracking link 6 times the following day and again at 1.36am the day after (delivery day) which would have reflected the change as requested and shown you when delivery was planned. I'm glad you received your bike safely though, enjoy it. Regards Paul

Bike collected… then complete radio silence

This company collected my bike on 22/12 and then effectively vanished.
Since collection I’ve had no delivery, no update, no responses to emails, no returned calls and absolutely no communication of any kind. It’s as if the moment the bike was in their possession, customer service ceased to exist.
This isn’t a cheap parcel, it’s a bike, and the lack of basic professionalism and accountability is staggering. If there’s a delay, say so. If there’s a problem, communicate it. Going completely to ground is unacceptable.
At this point I have no idea where my bike is or when I’ll see it again. Zero transparency, zero reassurance, zero trust.
I would strongly advise anyone thinking of using this company to reconsider unless you’re comfortable handing over valuable property and then being ignored.

Edit 05/01: In response to the company’s reply, I have no direct relationship with them. My purchase was made through a retailer. While I’m glad to hear they’ve returned refreshed after the Christmas break, that does nothing to address the issue. I am still no closer to knowing when an item costing several thousand pounds will be delivered.

Lucas. Thanks for your feedback but our website clearly states we were closed over the Christmas and New year period. Hence why you've had no contact. If you bought the bike through a retailer, it would have been incumbent on them to relay that information to you which obviously hasn't happened. We have no control over that.

The delivery took nine days, and when the bike finally arrived, the accessories box had been left behind at the depot. This included essential items such as the saddle, pedals, battery, and charger. Without these, the bike is completely unusable.

There was no communication to explain that the delivery was incomplete. This only became clear once the bike arrived, which shows a lack of basic checks and poor coordination.

I rely on the bike for commuting, so this has resulted in additional costs for public transport and taxis. To make matters worse, I’m now travelling for Christmas and won’t be available to receive the missing items.

For a specialist bike courier, this level of service is unacceptable. I would not recommend Bike Services UK based on this experience.

Hi Conor, thanks for your feedback. I've looked into this and yes, it's our fault. The accessories box was missed on a driver changeover, a very rare but honest mistake. To compound the issue, our customer services team were only made aware yesterday. However I understand they have been in touch and are sorting it for you ASAP with tracking and a refund. I'm really sorry this has happened but I hope the fact we have held our hands up, admitted our fault and doing what we can to resolve it asap gives you some comfort we do actually care about our customers experience. A second bike delivery which was perfect

This was my second bike delivery by Bike Services and I have nothing but praise for them. It's a fantastic service both for sellers and buyers as the bikes don't have to be boxed or dismantled for delivery which is a huge bonus. The price is very competitive too, so you can buy or sell online from all over the country and it's not a fortune to get the bike in a few days time. Delivery is insured so is safe and secure. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and would certainly use them again.

Nice and easy

As the seller of a "Collection Only" bike on Ebay, this was a very easy way to get my bike to a buyer over 400 miles away.

You sent this trustpilot recomendation request to early. I haven't received the bike yet. The delivery request was sent on the 2nd of September, this is now the 12th of September and I still haven't received a delivery slot time or day for delivery. Poor show so far 😡

Buying easy but yet to receive bike

Hard to write a review on my overall experience of Purchasing a bike when it haven't actually received it. The courier cancelled the original delivery date an hour before it was due to arrive (becuase they never actually collected it the day before) and I have not been able to get a rescheduled date since.

Bike Services were not able to support…

Bike Services were not able to support dispatch times promised by Cycle Revolution, where the bike was purchased from, of within three days. This is compounded by the fact that Bike Services outsource delivery to a third party partner, Byeways Logistics. who refused to collect the bike as requested by cycle Revolution as they were not "in the area"! When contacted they didn't provide confidence for timely delivery either, only promising to deliver when in my area!
The original order was placed on Friday 9th August and I was hoping to have the bike for this weekend 17/18th August, a forlorn hope I think! I have raised a formal complaint with cycle revolution and await their formal response. Informally, they do not appear to be able to influence the outcome. Most disappointing, I would have hoped for better.
Sadly things have gone from bad to worse! Having agreed a revised delivery slot aimed at 11:00AM on Sat 17th August with the General Manager of Bike Services and agreed appropriate compensation being paid, the delivery time was missed, meaning cancellation of personal arrangements. The delivery driver did contact me at 12:15, but then called back to say he did not have the bike on the lorry! The General Manager is to call on Monday 19th Aug. with the hope that a third attempt at delivery will be successful and that series compensation is offered, which is acceptable.
Pleased to say the issue was handled very professionally by Bike services, who accepted responsibility for their delivery shortfall and took appropriate exceptional action to enable delivery Monday PM, coming from Nottingham. The General Manager followed up with an acceptable compensation offer that I was happy to accept. In the circumstances I will raise the rating to three stars.

Firstly apologies for the delivery issues you experienced, it fell below the standards we expected however we have taken your experience and had a meeting already this week to discuss ways of avoiding this issue in the future which I hope gives you some comfort we do listen, we will hold our hands up if things go wrong and we will act to try and stop it happening again.

Service was on time which was good but…

Service was on time which was good but my bike was slightly damaged in transit (Just a scratch). Issue was sorted promptly an new decals have been provided.
