Burch Gold is alot better than Hartford gold. Customer service wise and incentives.
If only I know a year ago to invest with them rather than the competitor I would have done so.

Based on our experience our message is “DO NOT trust these people”.
We transferred a portion of our retirement savings to invest in gold and silver as a way to diversify. Since we are not experts in the precious metals market, we relied on the guidance of their reps. We were encouraged to purchase their ¼ oz. gold and silver coins, because these coins traded at higher values. The rep claimed to be personally invested in them as well.
What we later discovered was deeply disturbing. These coins do not appear to have any unique or widely recognized market demand outside of what Birch presents. There is no transparent way to independently verify the claimed value of these coins online, leaving customers dependent on the company’s word.
More concerning were the fees. We were charged approximately a 64% premium on gold coins and an 82% premium on silver coins. When we later inquired about liquidation, those premiums had dropped dramatically—to about 18% for gold and 9% for silver. In other words, a significant portion of the value we were led to believe existed had effectively disappeared.
The result was a significant loss in the value of our investment, even though the gold market had risen by 55% and the silver market by 145% during the same period.
They took advantage of the trust we placed in them and ended up pocketing roughly 40% of our retirement savings. They appear to be specifically targeting older, conservative individuals nearing retirement—people who can least afford to lose that kind of money.
They are endorced by several well-known conservative figures. I want nothing to do with any of them. It’s hard to believe these endorsers are unaware of what’s happening, which makes their continued support deeply concerning. Whether it’s willful ignorance or financial incentive, it reflects poorly on their judgment and character.
Honestly, it’s difficult to say what’s more disappointing—actions of Birch, or the people who continue to promote them despite everything.

Easy rollover of a IRA with the help of Kristine and Stephanie, with additional help from Kristine on my many questions. Setting up was a breeze with the help of Gordon setting up my account, plus explaining many options/choices that were available.

Do not buy from Birch Gold for investment purposes. Many of the coins they offer are minted just for Birch Gold, and are basically worth the spot price only, but they charge an exorbitant fee upfront for the purchase telling you they are valuable collector's items. For example, we invested $30,000 in coins in 6/24. When that purchase hit our account, it only had a market value of $15,000, they took 50% of our investment off the top. A year and a half later after metals had soared in price, I asked what the value of our coins was worth. They said they were worth about $25,000 but we were only able to sell them for $19,000, which was basically the spot price. When they tell you you're buying a long term investment, understand that means it will take you a long time to recoup their upfront charge! Do not buy from Birch unless you want to see your investment cut in half!!! We have since switched to Noble Gold where they discuss the bid and the ask along with fees to give you total transparency about what your buying, how much it truly will cost you, and what it is truly worth.
