Be very careful when signing a contract…
Be very careful when signing a contract with Bite in their physical stores. The 14-day withdrawal period does NOT apply, and no one clearly explains this upfront. This lack of transparency cost me 180 EUR.
I signed a contract at the Alfa shopping centre in Riga, but later the same day I changed my mind and decided to switch to LMT. There, I was told I didn’t need to notify Bite myself, so I assumed everything would be straightforward.
Only afterwards did I discover that I would be charged a 180 EUR penalty for leaving. When I went to another Bite store in Domina to clarify the situation, I was told that since I signed the contract in person, I have no right to the 14-day withdrawal period.
Instead of helping, they simply told me to go back to the original store in Alfa and speak to the same employee who signed me up — basically passing me around without offering any real solution.
Very disappointing experience. Important conditions like penalties should be clearly explained before signing, not after the fact when it’s too late.

Bet nu: ieeju "manabite.lv", samaxāju rēķinu, pēc tam nekad neparādās kāda īsa vēsts~ "Paldies, jūsu rēķins samaxāts!"
Vaicāju Bitei.lv - kāpēc šie nav iekārtojuš tik sīku bet vajdzīgu atbildi, šie teic~ "tās būs tehnolōģisk dārgas izmaxas." Citas vietnes, piem "elektrum.lv" to var, ikreiz pēc samaxas uzmet textu: "Paldies, jūsu darījums tix apstādāc 5 darbdienu laikā"- utml, es vismaz zinu ka tas ir noticis. Bite.lv vienmēr Klusē - tā esot Latviskā Komūnikācij.
Reiz kautKas - kā jau Bitē, nudie sap|sās- maxājums nebij noticis, es protams to nezinu, Bite to slēpj, un pēc ilgākas klusēšanas piepeš atsūta vēsti, ka maxājums kavējās - šito zinju atsūtīt laikam vairs nav tehnolōģisk dārgi.
Šodien pa vecam- veicu maxājumu, bite klusē kā ierasts, bet piepeš tā vietā uzmet rāmi ar textu- lai es ieraxtot kautkādu novērtējumu par šiem. Ō, šitais šitas jau atkal nav dārgi, baigās izmaxas ir tikai pieklājība pret klientu. Tas tač ir P|zdecs.
Lab, sāku raxtīt novērtējumu~ kāpēc jūsu kantoris kaitniecisk attiecās? Nepaspēju uzraxtīt, kat tie met virsū jau Otru (!) rāmi, kas atkal vairs nav dārgi, sak- "Vai jums ir jautājumi?" Jā, pastulbenji, es šobrīd jau raxtu novērtējumu, nep|sies virsū te vēl ar citu, ļauj taču uzraxtīt ko vaicāji. Lab, otrais rāmis aizverās, bet te pazūd arī pirmais, tā arī neuzraxtīc. To otro rāmi itkā malā vēl redzu, bet atvērt vairs nevaru- tas rāda ~ "Saruna beigusies". Vai nav debīli?
Vai jums trūxt pārvaldē cilvēku kas prot domāt un iekārtot vietni, vai vnk esat sap|sušies tāpat ~ sava prieka pēc? Kāpēc jūs šķērdējat savus taupāmos līdzekljus lai radītu 2-us rēgus kas kautko vaicā, tad pazūd un nedarbojas, bet neuzdarināt vienu tiešām vajadzīgu rāmi - kas pieklājīg pateiktos par maxājumu un darītu par to zināmu klientam? Lūgtum sanjemieties, dariet kaut drusku Mazdebīlāku savu bodīti.
Un vēl: līdz 2022.g. febrārim maxa mēnesī man bij =2€, citi kantori bij dārgāki, tāpēc vēl pieturos pie bites, jo vispār esu konzervatīvs un nemēdzu mētāties. Piepeš ar kara sākšanos tie pacēla uz kautkādu ~3,75€. Vaicāju šiem- es saprōt ka cenas visam vienmēr lēnām aug, bet kāpēc piepeš vienā dienā tāds lēciens? Vai jūs tos piepešos manus +1¾€ ikMēnesi tagad ziedojat Ukrainai, vai kā? Vai šo izvēli nebūtu labāk atstāt klienta zinjā- kam ko es ziedošu vai nē? Šie atraxta~ atsūtiet kautkādus tur klienta kōdus, lai varam jums atbildēt. Tā piepeš vairs nevar neko atbildēt bez kōdiem.
Lūgums Mazdebīlizēties, lai jums tas sekmējās! Nudie pagaidām vēl negribu mainīties uz kautkādu ~ ZeltaZivtinju- paglups nosaukums, vai kautkādu tur eLeMTē- skan vēl nekādāk.

Bite ne tikai regulāri paaugstina cenas, bet arī vecajiem klientiem bez jebkāda paziņojuma vai loģiska pamatojuma tiek ierobežotas iespējas – pat bez papildus pakalpojumu pieslēgšanas vairs nav iespējams paņemt preces nomaksā.
Vēl sliktāk – nomaksā paņemtās ierīces vairs nevar vienkārši apmaksāt ātrāk. Lai to izdarītu, jāiet cauri absurdam procesam: jāraksta e-parakstīts iesniegums, jāsūta uz e-pastu, pēc tam jāgaida nedēļu uz atbildi, un vēl papildus laiks, kamēr sagatavo rēķinu. Tikai tad beidzot vari veikt apmaksu. Pilnīgi nevajadzīgi sarežģīti.
Par klientu servisu vispār nav ko teikt – nekā pozitīva. Attieksme un palīdzība neatbilst mūsdienu standartiem.
Un pats kaitinošākais – esošajiem klientiem nemanot tiek celtas maksas, kamēr jauniem klientiem tiek piedāvāti pat 2–3 reizes zemāki rēķini. Lojalitāte šeit acīmredzami netiek novērtēta.
Trūkst vārdu, lai pilnībā aprakstītu, cik slikta ir šī pieredze.

From "Friendly Operator" to a total scam
I have been a Bite customer since day one when they first entered the Latvian market. For decades, I remained a loyal customer, always choosing them. Now, that loyalty has been met with an outright scam.
We had a contract for a specific amount. Suddenly, my bills tripled. I called my account manager, who told me: "Just wait two months, I will call you back and restore your original price." I trusted her word. Four months later, I call back only to find out that the manager no longer works there. The new manager’s response? "We sent you a letter about the price hike; if you didn't react within a month, it's your own fault."
Now I am trapped paying a non-market price—3 times higher than what any new customer "off the street" pays. To top it off, if I want to leave, they are demanding a €300 penalty fee for contract termination.
This is a calculated trap: mislead the customer to delay their reaction, and then hide behind small print and penalties. A disgraceful "shakedown" from a company that calls itself a "Friendly Operator." Stay away!
I experienced extremely poor service …
I experienced extremely poor and aggressive customer handling from Bite Latvia.
From November 2025, I sent more than ten emails asking for a simple written explanation of why my tariff had increased. I clearly explained that I do not live in Latvia, do not have a Latvian phone number, and that all communication had to be handled by email.
I also informed Bite that my husband had passed away a few months earlier and asked only for a clear explanation. Despite this, my emails were largely ignored. I received only two formal replies, none of which explained what was happening.
I was contacted by named staff members, including a customer support agent Rita, but the issue was never reviewed properly. Communication consisted only of repeated requests to “confirm a password”, without explaining which password was required, causing confusion and delays.
Without prior notice or a clear written explanation, the case was escalated to a debt collection agency while I was still actively seeking clarification.
This was a deeply unprofessional and aggressive experience. I am now terminating my relationship with Bite and will not continue using their services.

Noteikti izvairieties no viņu saldajām cenām un saldās mēles.
2 gadu līguma laikā 2x vienpusēji paceļ cenas. beigās automātiski pagarina līgumus, samazina datu apjomus. pie aiziešanas JŪS vienmēr dabūsiet piemaksāt. Bet labāk to izdarīt un aiziet, nekā tikt drā*tam visu laiku.
Diemžēl - uzņēmuma pieslēgumu gadījumā Patērētāju tiesību aizsardzības centrs neko nevar palīdzēt...

Debacle in service and account closure
after Bite took over Baltcom the quality of landline telephone service has gone down the pan. Eventually we requested cancellation of the service. Bite shop representative insisted that only the account holder could return 15 year old equipment or they will charge 76 euros for the tv décorder and even more for the telephone. i had to drag my 85 disabled mother to the shop to return old and worthless equipment. A year after we paid and returned everything they send us an email to pay 0.76 or they will pass our details to a debt collector! After 20 years of custom and not receiving any landline service for the last three years and still paying the bills in full. Bite management team must be ashamed of themselves.

But even when you immediately contact Support they are unwilling to to assist.
origo store bite scam
i went to the origo store, i asked one sim card with postpaid connection they gave 8 sim cards with latvian agreement. actually i dont know latvian. i coudnt undersand it and i sign it. after one month they asked 735 euros bill gave to me. fully scam company

Agresīvs serviss, nepārtraukti pieaugošas cenas.
3x paceltas cenas divu gadu līguma laikā. It kā pasaulē tā iekārtots, ja liek parakstīt līgumu, tad nodrošina cenu. Vai ja nevar nodrošināt, tad neliek klientiem parakstīt 2 gadu līgumus. Kā kompānija ļoti agresīva, bet interneta pakalpojumi diezgan slikti lauku rajonos, kad prasīju palīdzību par slikto interneta pārklājumu viņi tikai lika pagriezt modēmu uz torņa pusi, bet tas pilnībā napalīdzēja, bet cena jau atkal diemžēl bija pacelta. un atcelt šo līgumu man nekad neizdevās, es vairākas reizes mēģināju pēc cenu izmaiņām atteikties no līguma.

I accepted their offer to test their internet service and router. However, once the device was delivered, I realized I didn't want to risk my very stable existing connection, so I never even started the trial. Unfortunately, I returned the device after the 14-day testing period, and—surprise, surprise—I received an invoice for the entire month.
When I contested the charge, explaining that I hadn't used their services for even a second, they simply responded that the device was returned after the trial period. A reasonable business would evaluate the situation fairly rather than just insisting that the client is wrong and must pay.
They have lost me as a customer forever.
The irony is that they wanted me as an internet client, but now they’ve eliminated any chance of me considering any of their products. That’s how poor business management works.
Additionally, I will make sure to actively discourage others from using their services as I have my own experience now.
As addition - I have received a message that they are suspending my non-existing services and and issuing one-time fee 5EUR for invoice due - disputed via written communication.
I really do regret that I even started a conversation with this company, it's really shady and fraudulent.

Last period horrible client service, keep waiting answer for weeks and I am their client for many years. I keep reminding them to answer to me in emails,but they just ignoring. Worst provider of telecommunications in Latvia. Definitely choose LMT not Bite.

Please avoid at all cost! Their website doesn't work, so you can't change all these scamy rates they changed without you knowing! When you try to call them, they just wont answer! Please avoid this scam of the company!

They promised to respond within 2 days, after within 5 days.
First email was sent 22/07 and now it is 11/08
So in 3 weeks I got 1 email asking my personal details and thats all.... (BTW it was in my first email)

They scamed me and my mom, we went to buy a 4g router because I needed a private internet for my laptop, so we go there and that is the thing they offer us and so we take it not knowing anything about internet routers we paid 60€ for this and after like 5 months it started to get slow so we went to their shop again and asked why is it slow and they said that they had changed the internet zones in that city from 4g to 5g from the start of that year, don’t forget that we bought this router 3 months before the end of the year. And because we didn’t like buy the router at the first place we just had monthly payments my mom asked if we could change it to the 5g router and they said that we have to pay of this one, that is basically useless, and we could get the new one for almost double the price, just a scam. Long story short don’t use Bite is you live in Latvia, bc its a Lithuanian company and it is absolute dog crap. O, and it doesn’t work in other countries.
