Very easy and very quick return

My partner and I have planned a marriage in September, but realised that she did not have her Decree Absolute. Even though the timeline BMD said it could take to get one was longer than our timeline required for our marriage announcement, I took a chance and paid for a Decree Absolute to be processed. The final document was received at BMD's office ahead of schedule, which was very surprising to me, but it was damaged. Through ingenuity on BMD's side and a proactive response on the day of our marriage announcement, a digital copy was sent following many phone discussions between myself and their team. In addition, the flexibility of the registrars to allow a digital document, clearly damaged, but clearly a genuine document, enabled our announcement to go live just before the deadline required for our marriage in September. This is my experience, for which my partner and I are very grateful.
