we were looking for website design services and found an excellent partner for our travel web design needs. They are running pretty much a scam operations: overpromise and underdelivering. I knew exactly what we needed: for them to get us high quality influencers to review our products. We discussed the details such as quality of influencers, from which niche they have to be, etc., they also asked us to send them samples of the best influencers we think would be for us, promised to deliver, so we signed a contract. They promised influencers will deliver content within 3-4 days after receiving products, weeks past and there was no content, and they were not following up with influencers to get the content, only after I started asking for content did they start follow up and told us there are delays and we should wait because influencers are busy. Took about 3 months for us to receive some of the content while they were billing us monthly $5k (the contract was for monthly deliveries, so they were already failing to deliver but we wanted it to work so gave them a chance and were waiting)... Well the quality of the content even after so much time was pretty low grade (and they were not able to deliver a month worth of content after 3 months of us waiting). When I discussed it with them they tried to lie their way out and started saying that they don't provide content from influencers but from "content creators". Well that was a new word for me after all the communication we had and I confronted them saying that is not what we discussed and moreover contract stated clearly top level A+ graded influencers, not a single word about "content creators". After few more discussions they agreed that they are not delivering on their promise and contract as well as acknowledging it is not in their power to deliver per contract and tried to offer another service which I said will consider but it was overpriced and didn't make sense after the experience we had. In the meantime they again billed us for another $5k, total $20k for 0 results and failed delivery on the contract.
I even got a call from CTO who apologized for them not being able to deliver per contract. But when I asked for refund they stated they will not issue it.
I am just speechless and in the process of creating chargebacks with credit card company to get the funds back, but won't be able to get the funds for all the time we wasted on them unless we get attorney involved...
