Every boat is different. Some have lots of history to tell and others very little. You can see this in our other reviews. Depends on the state laws and data sharing etc. We do the search of 92 databases some free, public, and other paid private and hope you can be fair in your rating.

The latest report was weak. It provided hardly any information, neither about license plates nor owners, which has been included in other reports, so I found it inconsistent.

For sure. Every boat is different. Some have lots of history to tell and others very little. Depends on the state laws and data sharing etc. As for owner names that is protected by the privacy laws so it is not included in the report nor is it part of the product description. We cannot be held accountable with only two stars rating due to following the law and hope you can be fair in your rating.

No usable info. You will not get the owners name or any info usable. They then after taking your money send you to boat-abstract.com who then bounce you over to boat-alert so it is not worth your time and money!!!!

It really depends on the boat. Some boats have more usable info than others. We do the search show the results. We are a search service. As for owner names, it is protected by the privacy act and states will not share that. So it is not legal to expect it as part of any product
Crappy report and holy SPAM emails - Stay Away
The info provided was a complete waste of $30 and the ONE thing I wanted to know, you couldn’t even provide (Lien info). You’re also spamming me with related company emails. Hi Anthony,
We have a 60 day guarantee. No need for profanity. If your boat did not turn up any results in the search you could just contact customer service.
Each boat is different and has different amount of data being found. We have 98percent of customers who are happy with the report. The other two percent get a refund. No questions asked.
As for lien info, there is no one central place for liens. We check some of them as stated on the order page. In your case, the boat was registered in Florida and if a lien was on it you would have seen it in the report. But there wasn't one.
As for emails, you can unsubscribe just like any other email list from any company.

Thanks for the feedback. We searched 93+ databases and found plenty of data from the USCG and Massachusetts state registration history. Were there other things you expected from the report to get more than 3 stars?

Thank you for the honest feedback. Yes, it is great for used boats. A NEW boat at the dealership will not be expected to have any history other than an online listing. We checked 93 databases from many states and free/paid databases all in one place. This deserves more than 2 stars right?
The report sections are showing all the different things that were checked with explanations.
Spamming marina google Q&As for advertisement
They are plastering marina google Q&As to advertise their business. Hopefully everyone reports them.
Obviously I'm not a customer. They've reported my review and now trying to call it spam, but haven't denied that they are doing it. Great ethics from this group...
So first I was a spammer, now you've rewritten your reply. Look I agree a service like this would be great for our industry. However, spamming marina Q&As to promote your business isn't "marketing", it's spam. Maybe revisit your marketing techniques and people will take your service seriously.

1-The lookup of the HIN can give you the make and year for free.
2-The lookup of the HIN on the homepage gives you the registered state for free
3-The 19.99 report gives you the history of the vessel and accidents data.
