using the service for a long time and i was satisfied with it

I received an email and a very unclear invoice for a subscription I do not remember taking out. I have no previous email confirming any registration or subscription.
I have blocked the card and disputed the charge with my bank.

There is a nice variety of ebooks covering health, mindfulness and personal growth. I always find something interesting whenever I log in.

I contacted the support team with a question regarding my ebook collection subscription and they responded politely. Everything was explained clearly so I had no confusion. The cost i pay is worth the content i get here.

Lo cuento porque quizá pueda evitar que a otras personas les ocurra lo mismo.

Me he encontrado suscrito a BookAcademyX, un servicio de libros electrónicos, con un día de prueba a 0 € y una posterior renovación automática de 34,90 € al mes.

No recuerdo haber decidido conscientemente contratar este servicio.

Después de reclamar el cargo, BookAcademyX me ha explicado que la suscripción se habría producido tras hacer clic en uno de sus banners publicitarios y, posteriormente, autorizar la operación mediante Google Pay o Apple Pay y autenticación biométrica. Por lo tanto, es posible que materialmente autorizara la operación sin darme cuenta de que estaba activando una suscripción recurrente de 34,90 € al mes.

Solicité inmediatamente la cancelación. La suscripción ya ha sido cancelada y la empresa me ha confirmado por escrito que no se realizarán más cargos. Sin embargo, sigo esperando una respuesta clara a mi solicitud de devolución de los 34,90 € ya cobrados.

Lo publico sobre todo como advertencia: si una página os pide autorizar mediante Google Pay, Apple Pay, huella digital o reconocimiento facial una operación aparentemente gratuita o de 0 €, parad un momento y comprobad muy bien si detrás existe una suscripción con renovación automática.

Yo no me di cuenta. Puede pasarle a cualquiera.

Si veis BOOKACADEMYX.CO entre los movimientos de vuestra tarjeta, comprobad inmediatamente si existe alguna suscripción activa.

Warning. This company unexpectedly intervenes through another application. I was trying to use my OnePlus account to select the service that would allow me to transfer photos from my smartphone to my laptop, something completely unrelated to what this company offers. During the process, I was asked to verify my payment details and make a €0 payment.

I initially believed I was still dealing with OnePlus, but it turned out that the process had been taken over by BookAcademyX, which attempted to sell me a subscription through what I consider a misleading practice: 1 day free, followed by a monthly fee of €34.90.

If you see this name appear within another application or on a website, be cautious. Before you realize it, you may end up paying for a subscription that you never intended to sign up for. In my opinion, these are fraudulent and deceptive business practices.

I wasn't sure at first, but after subscribing to the site, i could learn a lot about life balance and lifestyle empowerment.

Pareille que tout le monde débitement de 34.90€ sans demande n'y abonnement souscrit, une fois confronté par mail se n'est pas leurs faute. Plainte déposée ne respecte pas les lois françaises ne pensais même pas à résilier l'abonnement c'est déjà trop tard

I went onto the internet to look up arrivals at Malaga airport. I mistakenly pressed on what must have been a pop up on the website, as I thought it was on the website itself. It asked me to confirm that I was a genuine website visitor by verifying using my Google pay. I can't believe I fell for this, but Google pay said that there was a £0.00 fee, so I thought it was just a way of stopping bots get onto the website. I took a photo of the £0.00 fee before I pressed on it. As soon as I pressed it, I was taken to the Bookacademyx website and it thanked me for entering into a subscription with them. I contacted them straight away to say that I did not want a subscription with them, I didn't want them to send my anything and to cancel my subscription immediately. I contacted my card issuer to stop any further payments being taken, but was told that as no money had been taken yet, I couldn't stop future payments going out of the account. I now need to check very carefully if money goes out of the account and to notify them immediately so that they can reverse the charge. This is clearly a fraudulent business - who else would get people to sign up to a subscription in such an underhand way. Avoid.

The The Psychology of Money ebook was an interesting read and presented complex ideas in a way that was easy to digest. It offered several insights that stayed with me long after finishing it.
