A Home for Malayalam Books in the UK & Ireland Book Shelfis more than just an online bookstore — it’s a heartfelt bridge connecting UK and Ireland Malayalees to the warmth of Malayalam literature. Founded by Priya, a passionate book lover from Kerala, Book Shelf grew from a deep emotional connection to home. Living away from her homeland, Priya missed the comfort of Malayalam books—the familiar words, cherished stories, and the joy of discovering new voices in her own language. She soon realised this longing was shared by many Malayalees living in the UK and beyond. Inspired by this shared feeling, Priya—also the founder of Pusthakappetti, a reading community currently establishing bookshelves—created Book Shelf as a space where stories travel beyond borders. More than a collection of books, it is a home for memories, culture, and a love for reading that connects people wherever they are.
