Engineer turned up on time job completed
Frustrating! Cancellation & rush job.
My installer cancelled via text & didn't notify Boxt. There was confusion over when it would be reinstalled with someone taking the job then saying they couldn't do it that day, but the system had cancelled the job. After a number of calls and messages via the chat function the installation was rearranged. for 8am the following day & would be done by 12. Got a call at 8.30am to say he'd be here at 10am - he arrived at 10.30 to install boiler, do a magnaflush and install a new thermostat. 2 hrs later as I'm trying to do an exam, installer comes into the room (doesn't knock) and interrupts. All done, nice easy swop, sign here, press up/down on the thermostat and I'm off.
Extremely rushed with no explanation on how everything worked other than when I asked questions. I have some additional concerns which needs to be addressed. Now have a thermostat which doesn't seem to work correctly. Another day off, more rescheduled meetings and an exam ruined. What should have been a straightforward boiler replacement was an extremely stressful and frustrating experience.

Great service
They stalled my boiler as promised and at a great price too. Signed up for a boiler service as much easier to pay monthly and have it arranged for me. Also had a problem with my app but Tavia at Customer services was really great and solved my issue very quickly. Very pleased all round.

The boiler was fitted on time,no mess, excellent plumbers, the electrician came when he said he would and all three men were friendly and explained everything to us. We are so pleased with the finished job.

Alex Rolfe's communication prior to appointment was informative and polite. A mutually agreed appointment was made. Alex arrived on time. He was friendly, efficient and unobtrusive.
Poor installation and zero aftercare
I had a boiler installed by Boxt and, to be honest, the whole experience has been disappointing.
The initial installation felt rushed. The engineer got the boiler in, but left a noticeable mess behind, which didn’t give much confidence in the quality of the work.
A few months later (while still under warranty), we started having issues with a leak. We contacted Boxt and they sent the original installer back out. He only carried out a quick visual check, said everything looked fine, turned the water and boiler back on and left.
Shortly after, the leak returned — coming through the ceiling.
We then had to pay for a local plumber to investigate properly. After lifting floorboards, he found the issue: a pipe hadn’t been connected correctly during the original installation. Once fixed, the problem stopped — but we were left out of pocket for something that should never have happened.
We contacted Boxt multiple times about this. They acknowledged our first email and said someone would get back to us… but we’ve heard nothing since.
Very poor aftercare and communication. I wouldn’t recommend using them.

Service has been excellent from start…
Service has been excellent from start to finish. A slight problem with the fuse spare was dealt with extremely quickly. Wing Lee supplied and fitted the new one this morning, extremely professional throughout and gave full instructions on the boiler. Boxt came recommended to me by friends and they have been excellent.

Had a new Worcester Bosch boiler fitted today by Ben. Arrived around 7.30. He explained about the fitting, covered over all the surfaces and started work. Professional throughout and very polite. When the job was completed Ben talked us through the controls and how to use the new thermostat unit. Cleaned everything up and took away the old boiler. Recommended this company completely and very well priced. Booking was easy, choose your own fitting date, e-mails to confirm who you're fitter is going to be is great.

Brooke in customer service was lovely and helpful. The link to upload the pictures for our install wasn't working but we were able to send them straight to her directly and she sorted it all out. Quick and easy and no stress which is great!
