The hollow tine machine was not well maintained
I rented a hollow tine machine for maintenance of our bowling green.(I am the green curator). Aftre a few minutes of using the machine on the green, we noticed that only one of the tines was going into the green deep enough to make a hole. After inspecting the metal tines on the machine, we noticed that 3 of the tines had worn down and were about 15
millimetres shorter than the other 1. We phoned Brandon Hire station and they said that they had some new tines there. We collected the new tines and fitted them. We started using the machine. After a few minutes, the tines stopped making contact with the green. We noticed that the mechanism was loose and that a large nut was undone. we also noticed that it appeared that the machine had not been lubricted at the grease nipple for quite some time. We took the machine back. I'm currently waiting for a full refund.

Overall good
Staff very helpful with quantity of sanding paper and sale or return.
The edge sander did not work despite repeated attempts and internet fixes tried. They said they would look at it and get back to me. They didn't.

⭐☆☆☆☆ If I could give zero stars, I would
Hired a petrol lawnmower which did not work at all. When I tried to use it, it took nearly 20 minutes of pulling before it started, then cut out after a few minutes and would not restart despite hours of trying.
There was no one available over the weekend to provide assistance. I reported the fault straight away and emailed the company multiple times to request a refund. They completely ignored me.
In the end, I had no choice but to raise a chargeback through my card provider to get my money back.
Absolutely terrible service from start to finish. I would strongly advise avoiding this company.

Non existent customer support
I hired micro digger and Wacker plate. All working fine and suitable for the job. Problems started at the day of collection. I got the message, when it will be collected but no one appeared. I was waiting till 8pm, no contact from driver or company. Tried to call, but no luck. Nobody picking up the phone. Digger and plate still in my garden 5 days later.

turf cutter d
machine I hired was missing a pin through the axle so one wheel wouldn't turn. when I phoned the shop I was passed on to a fitter who suggested I try to fix it myself. I did this but lost about an hours use of the machine.

Staff was friendly
Staff was friendly, my only issue was I paid for a full tank of fuel, machine was empty, I did mention to staff on returning the machine, no refund for the paid fuel,

Refunded in full for dull chipper rental
I was unfortunately delivered a wood chipper that was completely unusable due to a dull blade. While I wish they would have caught this before delivering it, I do understand that it is totally human to make mistakes. They refunded the entire rental and delivery charge and I will be happy to rent from them again in the future.
