Terrible

Our flight arrived 30 minutes late in Lissabon. Brava nowhere to be found. The lady in charge said she departed as we were not there. She did not check the flight number. The telephonenumbers did not respond. A friendly guy helped is. When the lady arrived she was rude. We had to wait at the AirPort for more than one hour for the car to arrive. The car was damaged, intensely used, the tyres were completely gone, the windscreen was dirty, the petrol level 3/8, there were no insurance papers and no car manual. We were glad we survived. Brava never again.

Worst car rental company ever

Had a car booked via this company from 2 July for 6 days at Lisbon airport. Arrived with a delay at Lisbon airport (2 hours) and searched in vain for almost 1 1/2 hours for the rep of Bravcar at the airport. Never saw anybody. Phone calls made to the office with no replies, e mails unanswered, etc. etc. In the end took a taxi at a massive cost to my destination at a cost of Euro 150.00 . During the week again no answer on the phone, no reply on the email. Used to car rental companies for years in Spain and Portugal, this was purely diabolic. Wonder how to get my car rental fee back, which they took up front off course.

Despite the low price

Despite the low price, after asking me the number of the flight during the reservation, they would have charged me upon the late arrival of the plane . Moreover, when I called the company to ask what should I do, they told me to cancel the reservation and pay the penalty (that there wasn't). So did I!

Unauthorized use of credit card for undisclosed charges

After renting a car through carjet, I was charged more than 1/3 of the cost of the rental upon collection, because the booking was made "out of office hours". There is no information about additional charges in the terms and conditions. Both carjet and brava car refused to accept responsibility for who is responsible for telling the customer about the full cost of the rental in advance, and told me that I had the option of cancelling the car instead. When I refused to make the payment that was not listed anywhere on either company website, they took the extra payment automatically from my credit card without my consent. The car itself is not even the one I booked and is in terrible condition. This company have been reported to consumer rights, and legal proceedings to follow.

Bravacars Porto er et mareridt.
Hvis man kunne give nul stjerner ville de få det.
Personalet opførte sig arrogant og nedladende.
Bilen var i en dårlig stand. Defekt sikkerhedsseler, computer fejl (der gjorde at bilens forskellige advarselslamper blinkede konstant). , Vi kontaktede udlejeren fik vi beskeden, "det er bare en computerfejl- kør videre - hvad er problemet" .
Bilens dæk var meget slidte, (hvilket resulterede i punktering) bremserne var slidte og gearkassen var ustabil.

Behandlingen vi fik af Bravars porto var en katastrofe.
Brug IKKE Bravacars Porto.
Dette firma er en skamplet for biludlejnings branchen.

Old and filthy cars

Recently rented a car from this company, with two consecutive rentals. Offered to pay for the second in advance and when I tried to cancel due to schedule change, they refused to return the money.
The car was old, filthy, scratched all around and the remote didn't work.
Steer clear if you can.

Great from pickup to return

We had great experience with these guys. After reading some reviews, we were very careful reading all the documentation and making sure all is good with the car. Everything, from car pickup, to the return went really well. They have been easy to contact and responding their emails, our car has been comfortable and spacey (there has been some strange sound when car was in lower gear, but we thought its not an issue). They did not try to force us to buy insurance or anything else and no hidden costs. So yeah, for the price value ratio I can truly recommend these guys

A complete Nightmare

Rented a car in Porto Airport. The car was a nightmare, everything was falling apart. one of the tires was flat, so I had to calibrate 6 times in the 4 days. When the car went over 110 the wheel started losing grip to steer. Not to mention the rear mirror completely loose.
When I got back to the car rental agency to tell about the problem, the attendant was extremely rude, nothing was made about my complaints, and in addition to that, I was charged one extra day for being 1 hour late.

I didn't wait so long on airport

I didn't wait so long on airport, but later I had a little problem - battery of car was empty. Man who talked with me in office helped me (he called mechanic). Of course it took some time. Later I changed my car and man who rented me car said that I can give back car on the next day so much later than in was in agreement.
I was shocked and really angry when on the next day owner of Bravacar called to me and he said to me that I should gave back car as was in agreement I now I will have to pay for whole second day.
Its really bad and sad that they have so weak communication. They gave me car with low battery, I loss 2-3 hours because of that and I had to pay around 25 euros for next day.
I don't recommend.

Scam from Carjet and their supplier…

Scam from Carjet and their supplier Bravacar
Scam Company. Placed an order for a car that the supplier never had. According to the supplier this is not the first time, and Carjet knows about it but they continue offering the car. Tried to contact Carjet.com, but the service is too bad that there is no option to reach or contact their customer service. With this being said carjet and their supplier bravacar are doing scam and liying to customers. Further actions will be made by the law, as you cannot sell a product that doesn't exists.

We hired a car from Bravacar Faro…

We hired a car from Bravacar Faro Airport for 11 days in April for just £40. Provided with a Fiat Panda with just 13000 kms on the clock
Pick up and drop off went very smoothly. Couldn’t fault anything.

shockingly bad service from Bravacar (Portugal) and Discover Car Hire (booking agency)

Booked car hire with Bravacars in Porto, Portugal, through Discover Car Hire. When we arrived, there was noone there to meet us and when I called the office they said they were closed and I could not have the car. This was all before the advertised closing time.

I could have been left stranded with 2 elderly relatives, but of course the local competition were excellent and sorted us out.

Bravacars were simply rude and useless. Discover were equally useless, and after a lengthy "investigation" they decided it was not their fault.

Will never use Bravacar again, will never use Discover Car Hire again. I suggest you do the same.

This "company" is a scam!

This car hire "company" operating out of Faro airport is a very rude man taking your credit card details out of the back of his car in front of the legitimate P4 care hire office! Very aggressive when I questioned the airport fee as my paperwork clearly stated there would be none as the car was to be collected off site, and threatened to tear up my contract if I did not pay this fee. This individual at this airport has all makings of a scam and he works under Car Del Mar banner. I contacted them and they promised the fee would be returned to my bank account which never happened so beware of both these dodgy "companies." The only way to get rid of these type of businesses is to not use them.
