Poor service by the branch in Manchester. Did not like the way Zahid spoke to me, he was abrupt.

Put a sign for sale on my house that is not even put on the market by us. Felt so harassed and If they can't do things right why would you put your trust. Waste of space

Avoid this company at all costs!. Everything started going wrong from day 1, it took them 3 weeks to actually list my property with excuse after excuse being given, then alleged viewings but never any feedback received until I kept repeatedly contacting them. They never return calls when asked. I listed at what they valued the property but they just kept wanting me to lower the price...even after I had reduced it by £10,000 after 6 weeks!. I have now gone to another agent and gave Bridgefords 30 day's notice, but still had to remove their for sale board as they wouldn't. Worst of all I've now had to threaten court action as they still have it listed online and are telling potential buyers when they call I've changed my mind and not selling the property. EXPENSIVE & DISHONEST estate agents

Bridgefords Northallerton the most awful experience I’ve ever had

After being let down by other reputable estate agents it was refreshing to deal with Bridgefords who were very professional and efficient in setting up a viewing and findind us a great home to rent . The lady who showed us around was very warm and bubbly and a viewing in the evening was no problem at all. As a landlord they find a tennant quickly every time, however past this their service for a fully managed let borders on terrible. Any request I make needs chased on various occasions.

Simply not proactive enough. Registered my details for properties with 260k budget in Cheadle Hulme and surrounding areas - around 3k miles, not one email, received a call 3 months later asking if Id'd found anywhere. Yes, I have, I and it's with Purple Bricks.
I'm surprised most of these old bricks and mortar Estate Agents are still in business. Old technology. Behind the times.

sold our house with tongue's,after being sold, bridgeford's sold next door but one for £30000 above asking price.we got them round and to cut a long story short,pulled out of the original sale put it up with bridgford's and they sold it for £15000 more than ian tongue's got for the house.absolutely fantastic professional service from ange,ryan and the rest of the staff at the stockport office they were relentless in there effort's, think about it £15000 more yippee!!!!!! the old addage comes to mind you get's what you pay for

Bridgefords Withington (Manchester) - lettings appear to be managed by only one person , no one else in the office willing/able to help/discuss lettings . The lettings agent is rarely in (or at least that is what sales team claim) . Should have seen signs of problems when on first enquiring about flat we were first shown round and signed for one which was not in fact available !!!! Lettings agent does not respond to messages or emails left by either my son or his flatmate. NO problem with landlord of my son's student property who confirmed some weeks ago that he is happy for full deposit to be returned. Lettings agent actually managed to confirm that !!!! and actually asked for account details for refund of deposit . Since that date we are now past the MAXIMUM 10 working days set down in deposit scheme for return of deposit and have not had refund. My son has had some "unique" landlords during his university life but this (with a supposedly reputable agent) is the first time we have had a problem and will need to call on the services of dispute resolution - very poor service.

Daughter moved into an apartment last week advertised and managed by Bridgefords letting agents, Linthorpe branch. Unbelievable appalling experience! The whole process from the drafting of tenancy agreement pre check in to actual check in was and remains absolutely appalling even now as she's approaching 3 weeks into her tenancy!

Their pre-tenancy and new tenant arrival checks were clearly NOT conducted and as a result the property was uninhabitable on check in (and for 3 subsequent days):

No electricity on arrival as the previous tenant had debt on address which had not been rectified by Bridgefords in preparation for the new tenancy. It took about 5 hours following numerous phone calls to letting agents to finally get electricity switched on!

The agent who performed check in/orientation of apartment did not check anything and could not even locate the electricity meter. She was in a rush to leave! Water stopcock still not located!

No hot water for 3 days due to faulty boiler!

Integrated dishwasher not working. Stagnant water inside still there for almost 3 weeks despite being reported on check in!

Appliances had not undergone safety checks following previous tenants departure. Last safety checks documented were 11 months ago!

Fire door on landing adjacent to apartment in the 3 story apartment block does not close despite being reported on check in day! DANGEROUS!

Numerous other issues still waiting to be resolved including only one set of keys available- no spare set of keys held at local branch!

The apartment was clearly NOT in a habitable condition on check in with no hot water for 3 subsequent days.

BEWARE.....and avoid using the Linthorpe branch of this company at all costs! Appalling, uncaring service. This company does however excel at charging extortionate arrangement fees from prospective tenants!

Spent all week trying to book a viewing for a property and finally manage to get one and text confirmation and the estate agent doesnt turn up.
They dont answer the phone and do not return calls left on voice mail.
I feel sorry for whoever is paying them as they clearly dont care about selling the property
