Spent a fortune on a beautiful ottoman bed, bought super king size, plus headboard and mattress, not cheap, it is beautiful but within weeks the mattress started sagging, I sent off email with photos, was told that the had gone into liquidation and new owners would not honour my guarantee, I am now left with a bed that is lovely to look at but unable to sleep in, and I'm registered disabled

Had used the company before so already knew the beds were made well. This time we were under a deadline so called the company before placing the order - spoke to Adam who checked out that the beds would be made and delivered before the family event. All worked well and new bed, mattress and headboard, now looking great in the room. Family found the bed very comfy.

Since we ordered the bed online, the company has been giving us very precise timeline about the readiness of the bed and the estimated delivery time every step of the way.
The bed arrived at the promised timeline and delivered to our first floor bedroom without any hassle.
Assembling the bed is quite straightforward. The only confusion was caused by following the instruction, as the supplied parts are slightly different from the instruction and we have to do a little bit of trial and error. It would be great to have the installing instruction updated.
Apart from that, we are extremely happy with the colour and the solid made of the bed. There are so much room underneath for storage. It is the best bed that we have ever had.

Bed base and headboard was dispatched earlier than expected. The order was well wrapped and the delivery team were polite and helpful and took it to the room I requested. The fabric is lovely. Would have liked a simple instruction sheet to help though as my husband almost fixed it with a seam outwards on the lower base 🤣🤣🤣

Second bed base from this company and I recommended them to my sister who was also happy. Ordered online after getting swatches to choose the fabric. Got a phone call a couple of days later to double check the order was correct before it went into production. Brilliant idea to do this. Given a rough date when it might be ready for delivery. Email from the delivery company was earlier than expected, only about 10 days from ordering. A quick phone call to them and I got exactly the date I wanted with a 3hr time slot. Phone call from van 30 mins before delivery. The guys put the bed base exactly where I wanted it. Nice friendly helpful guys. Bed base was exactly what I expected. Nice and safely packaged so not damaged at all. Very good quality and well made. I will continue to recommend British Beds Direct to everyone.

Product delivered on time.
Not at all clear what "add-ons" were required in the delivery process and when they needed to be bought and from whom (ie supplier rather than delivery company). Also deliverers did not know what was in the package - that a low double bed occupies less space than the deep divans being removed.
After 10 minutes panic all was revealed - the package was not short and they completed the installation.

Glad I read the reviews. I am very pleased with my bed base and headboard. I initially picked this company because they were one of the only few brands that sold a black bed base in small double. Came quickly, easy to put together. I still have to get used to the ottoman because it’s hard to pull it down but I was told it will loosen up with time.

Friendly, helpful team who expedited my order as requested. Divan base is perfect - exactly what was needed and ordered. Delivery was well organised and the base assembled to a high standard.

Don't believe the reviews! Guarantee not honoured. This company claims to have a long heritage but when we contacted them to ask them to look out our bed that squeaks they said they were not the same company now and the guarantee was therefore not valid. So either they are and can trade off that experience in which case honour the warranty or they are not and therefore untruthful in their marketing. They cannot have it both ways.

Ordered a double bed size blanket box after receiving a choice of samples. Very pleased with it, strong enough to sit on which we wanted. Communication was good throughout, delivery on time and the guys took it upstairs to the bedroom. I do recommend getting samples before ordering as material and colours are not easy to judge online. They were very helpful when I rang.

I purchased an ottoman bed a few months ago now, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. The standout feature is undoubtedly the storage capacity. Finally, the fabric of the bed is absolutely beautiful and coincidentally matches my sofa fabric. The samples really helped with choosing a fabric and colour. The upholstery is generally well-finished, with the exception of quite a few loose threads.

Overall, this ottoman bed is a fantastic investment—combining practicality with style and quality. Highly recommended!

I ordered a super king headboard, unfortunately the fabric I ordered was not in stock. They got in touch and sent out alternative choices and arranged my new choice. Customer service is excellent as they always replied promptly and kept me informed of progress and delivery.

Easy purchase and fast delivery. Bed looks great but it’s a second I think because where you join the two halves together there is a piece of wood and fabric obstructing the metal joins from going on properly. We managed to turn the bed over without them falling off and it holding at the moment but I’m not confident with it.

Our bed delivered without legs and the bed looks nothing like the picture online. Repeated attempts to contact customer service and organize a return have been ignored.
